Rebeccayuling got a reaction from Tashas mom in I-751 February 2019 Filers
My DL is not expired until 2025 😊
I used online chat with USCIS, they basically meant that if I don‘t need to travel or work outside of The US, I really don‘t need the stamp because it has an expire date.

Hi there,
I applied N-400 online on 2/26 and next day my I-751 (SRC) case transferred and new office has jurisdiction.
Also on 3/6 I received paper noticed of bio appointment for N-400, soooo I hope everything move faster after I applied N-400.

MSC case & Feb filer here.. We had our interview earlier today and it was THE official interview. Both of us attended as directed in the appointment letter. We were called back to the officer's office soon after arrival despite the waiting room being half full of other people. Interview went quick & smoothly as our case was pretty solid. We were asked some basic questions on our history before the officer approved us for a 10yr green card. We volunteered more evidence since our submittal. The officer said it wasn't necessary but accepted it anyhow. I think we were in & out in under 25 minutes. Pretty excited!! Gotta run, I'll update my timeline later.

because I was F-1 OPT visa when I applied SS card, that's probably the reason it's for work only. But when I applied green card and I-751, I also wrote that number down on application, it didn't cause any issue at all. 😔
I guess every property management company has very different way to do tenant screening.

So here's my experience recently
We applied rental apartment online for the apartment that we really like, couple days later, leasing office called us that our information isn't enough,
they asked for my legal status which is weird because it didn't happen at my current rental apartment.
So I emailed copy of my expired green card and 18 months extension letter. But it's not over yet 😭
Leasing office contacted me said "yea...the letter says you can work and travel, doesn't says you are legal living in the U.S. "
I was very speechless about this argument, so I explained I can use the letter come back to the U.S., and I'm just trying to apply an apartment here.
then she said "Your SSN is for working only, we need to see the card to verify the information."
wow...I have been used the card since graduated from school, never had any issues.
I was planning to update it after I'm citizen, didn't think it could be the issue now.
I'm just share this experience to let people know this could happen
and probably should update SSN information after you get the green card.
Also I looked into laws that only CA and NY can't ask tenant's legal status.

My wife is SRC and didn't need Biometrics. Last month when I did the E request for the extension letter, I also requested the biometrics in the same request. The next week we received the extension and a letter that they would use the biometrics on file.
However only annoying thing is the myaccess site only shows the status as case received etc. It didn't update after the letters were sent out.

I called this morning to verify my status and the automated system said “ your receipt number is invalid”😰😱😳😳😳. Called USCIS again and expressed my concerns and the rep over the phone said it is valid, but it takes 45 days to show in the system (🤬)!

Rebeccayuling reacted to Derwood in Traveling on Extension Letter?
There have been quite a few posts recently regarding traveling on an expired GC with the one year extension letter.
Page 38 of this document provides some reassurance:
https://www.cbp.gov/sites/default/files/documents/Carrier Information Guide- English.pdf
It also makes clear that the 12 month extension is from the card expiry date, not the receipt date of the I-797.
