    Bummer, I might have the same fate as you are. But let’s keep our fingers crossed. Btw, were did you send your AOS application? Is it just one address?

    "To save you a trip to the Social Security Office you can now apply for your SSN and card (SSN card) on the same application form you will use to apply for permission to work legally in the United States (U.S.). That application is the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization. If USCIS approves your application to work in the U.S. and you completed the section on the application to request an SSN card, then USCIS will send SSA the data we need to issue your SSN card. If you already have an SSN and you requested an SSN card on the I-765 application, we will issue you a replacement SSN card."

I am in similar situation, applied for AOS in February, went to SSA office with VALID I-94 (for another 5 weeks) and their validation + validation with DHS took so long that my I-94 got invalid. I tried everything and they just kept sending me from SSA to DHS and back. The only way to apply for SSN is either having a valid I-94 or EAD. Good luck and strong nerves. 

     

    If you're lucky finding a job you can apply for an expedite of your EAD. I did that too, and my expedite is being ignored since May 1st. Lost the potential job.

    Gosh, I'm so sorry for your loss, it must be very devastating to you. No couple should go through something like that 😭😭. 

    Being left in a black hole or feeling like being ignored is already worst. 

     

    I just hope they will reach out to you guys soon. Btw, did you apply for spousal Visa?

    Yes, seminar is on Tuesday 😊😊. Then my fiance's arriving on Thursday to pick me up and we will be flying back together on the 14th. 

     

    I cant believe that we are almost there, like its 95% done. Seems like a month ago I am so confused on what I needed to do in order to apply for the k1 Visa. I dont want to bother my fiance too much and wanted to do it all by myself. Was scared, doubtful and skeptical at first, but I'm so glad I did sign up for this site, made it so much clearer and easier. The journey was a smooth sailing (except for those waiting moments) 😁😁.

    Oh wow, pretty soon 😊. We're flying on the 14th of March. This is going to be something different, after 16 trips of sending him off to the airport every time he leaves back to the US, this time, it's gonna be my family sending us off 😢.
