Has she been seen by her own private obstetrician? Who has she been seeing for her pre-natal check-ups and care? Perhaps that is an avenue of help that you desire?

    Just a thought.

    YMMV

Good luck on your immigration journey.

She has an appointment with them soon so we will see what they say.

Maybe try over in your subforum.  Seems to be a better choice because others may have experience in your country are more apt to have a solution.

Do you have a quick link there ? I’ve been having trouble finding a specific forum for Hong Kong. Thanks

Omg me too i'm pregnant still have a few months for my delivery still they don't call for the interview hopefully this medical issue will solve fast with me!!

Have you gotten a certificate or have you done the medical already ? If so how did you get it while being pregnant ?

Personally, I think they are wrong requiring a Drs. consent as she is the one who makes the decisions for her own medical care.  As long as she understands the risks and the take the proper precautions then they should do it.   Unfortunately my opinion doesn't help you.

What confuses me most about this is are there any doctors at this authorized clinic that could ask for her consent? Instead of delaying our process sending us elsewhere only to come back with consent from another hospital. I’m sure it should be our decision to go through with this not someone else’s. I’m pretty patient but I’m growing very impatient with Hong Kong’s ways of doing things.

Yes her consent is what is needed

How do I go about this ? The clinic is asking for a obstetric to give her a certificate and we’ve called many clinics and they are not willing to do it. Time is ticking

  6. We are trying to get the medical done with an interview date closing in. The authorized clinic  are requesting we get a certificate stating that she’s able to get an X Ray from an obstetrician. On the visa travel site it clearly states that she provides the physician with consent but it didn’t state from where. We’ve contacted a few obstetrics clinics and they are not willing to do it. .. very annoying. What seems like the simplest thing has become harder and has put a halt to our progress. Isn’t she allowed to consent for her self ?

Hi everyone, is there anyone from Hong Kong applying for K1 visa?

We filed in the petition on 6/1/2019, and received NOA1 on 10/1/2019 and NOA2 on 11/4/2019.

I have seen so many posts about people not receiving packet 3, I'm wondering how long would it normally take for packet 3 to arrive after getting NOA2?

And during this time, is there any preparations I can do, e.g. apply for police clearance?

Also I saw on VJ Us Consulate HK post:

"Requirements for the I-134 Affidavit of Support:
"A notarized I-134 enclosed with your employment letter, bank statements and latest tax return are required. When your fiancee has obtained all the documents on the checklist applicable to her case, please advise her to complete and return her completed visa forms to this office immediately so that proper action can be taken in her visa application : a) DS-230I, b) 2 copies of DS-156, c) DS-156K and d) FPU Preliminary Interview Form."

Here is a link that should be included under the DCF heading"

Are the forms 3 forms (a) DS-230I, b) 2 copies of DS-156, c) DS-156K and d) FPU Preliminary Interview Form) needed for the interview? can we download and fill in those forms before receiving packet 3?

Any other advises for preparations for packet 3 & 4 and the interview with the ambassador?

    Thank you very much!

    Nora

You don’t need to notarize the 134f btw

Just called the NVC. We have our MNL number already!!😍 Wow this is moving way faster than we ever anticipated!! The ball is in our court now!! So close to the end result now!! Soon I will be with the love of my life forever!!😍

    I-129F Filed January 11th, 2019

    NOA1 January 17th, 2019

    NOA2 April 25th, 2019

NVC Receive Date May 3rd, 2019

MNL Case Number May 8th, 2019

    😊😊😊

Looks like you’ll make the next shipment I just called and I haven’t received a case number yet. Our NVC receive date is the same I’m hoping I can get a case number by today and make this next shipment fingers are crossed.

That's kind of confusing. I think you wanted to say "if you get a case number assigned by Wed this week your file will ship on the 14th". Any day after Wednesday that you get your case number assigned you will more than likely will ship on May 28th or 29th.

If you call to get your case number be sure to ask when it was assigned so you can determine if it ships or not based on IBE2CA explanation. :)

Wouldn’t you guys say if a case number is received anytime this week it’ll ship out by the 14th or 15th? I don’t see why it would not or how valid is it that because a number is issued after Wednesday that it won’t ship out on the 14th or 15th ? It seems like enough time to get em on the shipment 🤷🏽‍♂️😕

I was told by an NVC rep herself that cases are sent out as soon as they are ready, regardless of the day of the week (I.e. every other Tuesday). She specifically told me that the every other Tuesday shipment idea is not accurate. Can someone verify this beyond the proof from trending? Is the rep just not wanting to confirm information that she’s possible not allowed to? Interesting...

That’s interesting, you can go with either or.  In my opinion I don’t believe they can give you a specific date because things can change at any time and who ever you spoke to may not want to be held liable for giving you information that may not be concrete. This is just my speculation.

Depends on when you are assigned your case number. And you are not out of the woods concerning USCIS. If NVC finds something that needs USCIS's attention then it returns back to USCIS so they can address the situation. NO! Hiding under the bed will not save you from USCIS. Big brother has your name.

Hahaha yes! i was hoping I can get away from them but looks like I’m taking the pillow under the bed with me because I won’t be coming out!
