September 24, 2019 - Willing to Expedite with  condition
 
September 24, 2019 - Welcome Letter / Paid

October 11, 2019 - Submit All Documents /            
                   NVC need W2 for additional req. 
 
October 12 - 21, 2019 - NVC maintenance

Update guys!! I sent expedite letter on my petition in NVC on September 19. On September  20 they email me and said that they will review it . Today i got an email again from NVC and said they are willing to expedite my petition. I got my case number and invoice number. 🙏😇

Update: In my RFE, they asked for a PP size of my picture and marriage certificate.  While i have a paper from court stating that we are husband and wife, however it does not have any registration number though it was registered into the court under District Judge. It looks like the registration number is the key point here. I am asking my lawyer if he can get the  marriage certificate with registration number on the basis of the paper we have from court, unless i may have to fly.

My 08/08 approved I-130 petition reached NVC on 09/04 and currently they are working on cases received on 08/12.

I'll be honest, I'm actually more restless than my immigrating wife. But you know we all tell ourselves lies.

I got an approval mail from USCIS one month after we sent the upgrade request along with copy of certificate of naturalization. I believe that's mostly because my priority date is all the way back in 2017.  It took exactly 3 months since then for USCIS to transfer my case to NVC. Exactly one month since then for case complete.

Looks like ombudsman is caught up and backlog seems to be current.
 
When I inquired about the current backlog, was told that my case has been assigned to someone for review.

So I have another table where I'm checking processing dates on a weekly basis to get an idea of trend.
 
This is just ridiculous. Texas F2A now takes 1 week to 7 months.

Guess what?
 
I went to sleep right after posting that on Friday night. Or maybe it was early Saturday. I also checked my case status on both the USCIS website, as well as the DHS website. And the status was still stuck on Received.
 
After I woke up this morning, at around 7:20am, I had received a text message along with an email from USCIS that said "We have updated your case."
 
With my heart thumping against my chest, I quickly logged into the USCIS site to check the case status, and my heart sank when I saw that it was still unchanged.
 
Then I immediately logged into the DHS site, and checked the status there.
 
Guess what?
 
My case status had changed to "Approved".
 
On a Saturday morning 😳
 
If this wasn't a miracle, please tell me what is 
 
I hope and pray that your case status changes today, tomorrow, or Monday at the latest so that you can enjoy some peace of mind as well.
 
This prolonged stress and anxiety literally makes us forget how to stay happy and enjoy life at all.
 
And lol, this whole thing about the person who was handling our cases being on a vacation or being super slow, lol lol, I swear I said that EXACT same thing to my wife 2 days ago!!!!!!!

24 hours old US Citizen
Got my interview and same day oath (only perk of NJ).
Arrived 20 minutes early and interview started 20 mins late, IO V. RODRIGUEZ was very professional.
Right hand up and oath that all what I'll say is the truth
Personal data verification. Name changes if any (denied). supposed to be updating the application but system was acting up, so she so professionally skipped to the next step. Civics (not in order) What is freedom of religion. What is the age for males to sign for selective service. Who is the chief of the Military. Name a part of the government. During the cold war what was the main concern,  When do we celebrate independence day. Read: Who is George Washington? Write on the tablet ahead: Washington was the first president. Generic No/Yes questions Back to update the application, corrected the destination of my travels after the application that they got wrong. Asked for my spouse's original birth certificate (3 yrs rule). Check and sign how my details would look like on the naturalization certificate. Recommended for approval. Time: ~20-30 mins mainly because system being slow.
 
Back to waiting area, with pre-oath documents that I checked boxes saying nothing has changed since my interview, signed and dated.
Got an message from USCIS, status changed, checked and it said, oath ceremony has been scheduled and we mailed you the notice.
Got called to a window where I gave them the pre-oath document, signed a copy and the original naturalization certificate after verifying sure information is correct and gave me a flag and an envelope with passport application and oath copy. 
Back to waiting area where I relentlessly chased my son around and everyone saying he is cute and how come he is white and I'm brown-ish and me smiling socially while my wife sat in the back literally having contractions for our baby#2 (real story) that was delivered 7hrs later.
 
Got called to the oath room families sat in the back 99% citizens up front, watched a video, national anthem, oath, watched Mr. Trump welcoming the now 100% citizens cause we swore the oath, got original certificate, darted to the hospital.
Whole thing took ~4 hrs.
 
Applied for passport 3 hours ago, so I can come back to my country if I had to leave for any reason.
Mail man, stapled through the $555 certificate so carelessly.
When it comes back I'll then update SS, DMV(MVA) records and register to vote.
 
I'M DONE

I did not call, I just sent it and it got delivered yesterday 04/22/2019.
 
But today instead of call I chatted with them and I got a service request no. so lets see if they can put 1 +1 together or gonna make me more miserable.
 
I gave her my certificate no. so hopefully they can pull the data themselves. and as mentioned it should with them yesterday itself.

I cannot agree more that F2A to IR1 threads are hard to find and mostly inactive, which is why I came back here to post my approval news. Good luck to you with Naturalization and the subsequent immigration of your wife. This journey is long, but it has a fulfilling end. We will get there. God bless ☺️

No problem...yes i did call and made a service request and also sent a letter plus the copy of naturalization certificate .That service request went fast though .And they will send you a mail saying case was upgraded then hopefully they will approve it within a month.Mine was like 3 weeks after the upgrade they approved it.Good luck
