I had something similar to this, everything I asked for literally went in one ear and out the other. It was only when I threatened using their complaints process that magically my notes appeared and they took me seriously. It’s so disappointing as we’re all legally entitled to our own medical notes! I hope he gets it sorted soon!

He may need to, especially since they charged him 50 pound!

£50? Surely that can't be right, nowhere does it mention any cost to get your records: https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/about-the-nhs/how-to-access-your-health-records/

If I was him, I would show this web page and the PDF which was posted earlier about Summary Care Records and ask them to indicate where it says to charge the patient? It's a straightforward printout! I'm so sorry they're making it so difficult. Hope it gets resolved soon.

Yeah he gets a different lady every time who tells him something different each time. It's ridiculous!

Wow, this is unbelievable! I'm still waiting for NOA2 but I have access to my online records which seems like they'll be accepted. Has your fiancé tried going in to GP and asking for online access to their records? Really baffled that they can refuse to give you *your own* records..?!

He actually went in this morning since he was turned away yesterday because he didn't have a letter in writing requesting his summary. They didn't give it to him today but instead made him pay 50 pound for his summary and vaccination records and he'll have to wait and see if the doctor will write him a letter clearing him. They said they'll call him by the end of the April. Seriously one of the most frustrating part of visa process so far!

Thank you! So helpful ☺️ I’ve got an appointment this evening so I’ll make sure I ask for this. Have a great day!

Were you every successful in getting your summary? My fiance just went in this morning after he was registered and they told him no again, saying he has to have it in writing. It's so frustrating. He's going to try again tomorrow with another letter requesting them.

YES. That's all you send. And skip the bank statements. One proof is enough. Your proof can be photocopies or scans.

Put together an I-134 and proof of your income and that's all he needs from you. I promise.

So I don't need a letter from the bank stating how much I deposited in the last year, when I opened my account, and the current amount?

Your NOA2 has a 4 month expiration date

Your K1 visa (when issued) has 6 months expiration date from the date of the visa medical (the expiration date will be on the visa when its in the passport)

Your 90 days to marry starts the date your fiancé lands in the USA with his K1 visa

Edit: you also dont need the entire I-129F packet, the embassy will send him a photocopy of the form that was approved, just focus on your evidence/documents needed for the interview

Oh okay, sounds good. Do you know if the w-2's have to be the originals or can I just make a copy of them? And do I need to print out recent conversations and photos proving we are still in an on-going relationship?

  7. I received my NOA2 on the 22nd and I'm slightly confused on when it expires. My paper says valid from 03/21/2019 to 07/20/2019 but I thought we had 6 months from the time the i-129 was approved? If our visa is approved, does that valid timeline include the 90 days to marry or does that deadline start once he gets in the US?

Also... I'm getting ready to send my fiance (in the UK) all the paperwork he'll need. I'm making a copy of the packet, plus the RFE we received. The 134 form with supporting documents, i.e. tax transcripts, letter from my bank, w-2, and recent printed out photo's from his last visit, and an updated signed Intent to Marry. Am I missing anything and does the w-2's I sent him have to be the originals or can I take copies to send him for his interview? Thank you!

Oh really. It's easily done though because the whole process is so stressful. It's easy to forget something. I think we all panic even when we have no reason too. my fingers are crossed for you!!!

Yes, it is easy but there is a LOT of steps. I didn't find this website until after I sent my 129 packet but everyone here has been amazing their help!

Oh god so that slows things down 😩 Luckily we didn't need any more evidence. We didn't send much, just 5 pictures and a letter of how we met. And then we got approved on Valentine's Day which has give us a sentimental meaning behind the day now. I recon you will hear soon. Just keep being crazy and refreshing your emails lol

Yes it does. I knew it was coming (I didn't submit my entire divorce decree) so I already had a copy made and ready to go and sent it back in the same day it came in the mail. I really hope I hear back soon!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who is constantly checking her emails for updates. 👀 😂 I'm trying to be patient and hope I hear from the NVC soon. but it's so hard! I feel like I'm glued to my phone lol It took 8 months for our i130 to be approved, and now we've been waiting almost 4 weeks since USCIS sent our petition to the NVC. I just want the rest of the process over and done with so I can be with my husband 😩 How is everyone's process going so far?

I've been check everyday too! I got an RFE on the 6th and I got a response from USCIS saying they received it on the 14th and nothing still. It's driving me crazy!!

They’re so difficult aren’t they! For some reason my doctors are having trouble accessing my records from the central record store.

    Yes, they are incredibly difficult!

So my doctors surgery are being incredibly difficult and I’m struggling to get my medical documents. Aside from the required docs, as I already have these (ie police certification etc), is there anything else I can take with me for medical evidence?

Has anyone here taken anything else that has been beneficial?

I'm in the same boat! All we need his my fiance's medial summary and they keep giving us the run around. My fiance is going to register with the local doctors and then actual schedule an appointment to try and get them. Hopefully this will work!

Sounds like an absolute nightmare. Also sounds like you are trying to do everything in advance. That’s exactly what we did. But I truly think it depends on how much experience the agent that is assigned to review your documentation has. Basically luck of the draw. If the letter works in my case...maybe you can request a letter from the courts and upload it as well.

Our process has been pretty smooth up until this point, for which I’m extremely grateful, now to just get passed this very peculiar hurdle.  At least with the memorandum...you can watch my case and if it works, use the same process. Save yourself some time.

Hopefully all all goes well for you guys.

Thank you! And yes, I am trying to have everything prepared and ready. I got an RFE (which I knew was coming for not submitting my entire divorce decree) and it's been a week since they received it and I still have not heard anything back. The only part I'm nervous about is my fiance's criminal history. He only has one actual charge when he was a juvenile but has two adult cautions and I was told they count cautions as actual charges..

  14. 2 minutes ago, Drkchocl8 said:

Yeah...my husband too! First they sent him records from the time he was 3. HUNDREDS of pages. Ummm...well  thats not gonna work. We asked for the Summary Care Record and they have no idea what that is. We showed them the link from the NHS website on how to get it. Nothing. We JUST got something 2 days ago...it’s 10 pages long but we’re like, that’s probably as close as we’re going to get. So we just let the Visa medical office know at the time we made the appointment that his report is 10 pages and we’re good to go.

It's a nightmare trying to get these records. He first was told he had to request them in writing so he wrote a letter up and handed it in personally. They then told him he had to be registered first. (He moved back to London from Goole and never registered) They said they're merging with another company so it may be two weeks or so to get him in the system. He keeps getting the run around but I have a feeling it's going to be harder than normal since he also had depression years ago and will need a letter in addition to his summary records.

But I really hope they accept his Memorandum of Entry as the Conviction with the emails showing that's all they have.

  15. 3 minutes ago, Drkchocl8 said:

I think including the email is the best thing to do. My case has now been forwarded to a supervisor...but get this, supervisor review takes up to 6 weeks! What in the world?!

But the letter from the court that I uploaded today could be reviewed and rejected again or deemed case complete within 3 weeks. So at this point we just wait and hope for the best.

Hopefully your document gets approved! Positive thoughts right?

Yes I hope so! It's crazy how long everything takes. Right now, I'm having a hell of time getting the medical summary...

Hi! Has anyone had to get a Memorandum of Conviction from the Cardiff Magistrates Courts?  We received an email from the courts that said “Attached are your two official memorandums of conviction” however the actual document reads memorandum of entry. We submitted these documents to NVC and they were denied because they didn’t say conviction. We called the courts and they said they do hundreds of visas and all bodies accept the ‘memorandum of entry’.  Now we are stumped. See attached email language and document title.

Any insight would be most appreciated. imageproxy.php?img=&key=ea9668e88603f7d4

I also needed a Memorandum of Conviction for my fiance's juvenile case. He had to pay 25 pound and they gave him a Memorandum of Entry. I asked if this was all they had and they said that the Entry was the same thing as the Conviction and because is was 10 years ago, every else has been destroyed. I'm going to submit the e-mails showing what we specifically asked for and them telling me this was all they had and hope it works.

  17. I received an email stating I was getting an RFE (I knew it was coming for not submitting my entire divorce decree) on March 6th, but didn't physically get in the mail until March 11th and since I knew it was coming, I had it ready to send off, which I did the same day I got it in the mail. I then received an email stating they received my RFE on March 14th. How long have people been waiting for their NOA2 after sending in their FRE's?

  18. Just now, skjourney said:

Yeah, i might have to start harassing them, at the risk of them taking even longer, it does just feel like they cant be arsed, is it really any more difficult then verifying youre the person requesting the info, then opening up your file and printing it out, surely can take no longer than 2-3 mins.

That's exactly what I was thinking! If it was so easy for some people to get it on the spot, it has to be them just not wanting to do it.🙄

the only thing i can currently access is a patient summary which lists

    Allergies and Sensitivities

Acute Medication (issued in the last 12 months)

    Current Repeat Medication
Past Repeat Medication (discontinued in the last 6 months)

If push comes to shove ill just have to print this out and hope its enough. I dont know what else I can do at this point.

My fiance was just told it could take up to six weeks to get his summary. I told him to just keep going back in since he keeps getting told different things and seeing as some people have just walked in a got it right on the spot, he might get lucky one day and they'll just give it to him 😂

I rang my GP on Monday and the receptionist printed everything off whilst I was on the phone to her.

Tell your partner to call in and speak to them face to face if they are being unhelpful over the phone, people are more likely to help when you’re stood in front of them.

Getting the patient summary and vaccination records shouldn’t be as difficult as they are making it for him.

He actually just left the office. He filled out all the paperwork to register but they told him they're backed up because they're merging two companies and it will be next week before he gets in the system. So hopefully, next week he'll be registered and schedule an appointment. But they wouldn't give him his summary until he's actually registered. So still the run around again.

  21. 8 minutes ago, LukeU said:

Calling is always difficult, receptionists lately are more like gatekeepers of the doctors surgeries.

I just walked in and they printed me a patient summary record out, or will allow you to register online for online records.

Or the other option, lie to receptionist and get an appointment and speak to his doctor and inform them exactly what he needs and why, including a writeup regarding depression history.

    Perfect! Thank you so much!

If he is saying medical RECORDS to them like you did in your post, then maybe they are anticipating some complicated thing of copying all his records.  Tell him to say "print out of medical SUMMARY."

Sorry, I should have reworded that.. in the written letter, he said medical summary not all records
