Please to people who have gotten their interview dates already, come back to the spreadsheet and update it so those who are still waiting have an idea of the wait times.

Please also update your timeline as well.

It seems people just forget after receiving their interview date.

    Thank you

Yes please, it does not seem like there are any interviews for March yet. I wonder what's going on.

  2. I wanted to confirm, it seems that even after submitting requested documents via CEAC to NVC, I am still able to upload additional documents days later. Does this have any negative impact on the time line of case completion with NVC? I had already uploaded all my documents, but I saw a thread where someone mentioned NVC required not just tax return transcripts but also tax account transcripts. As a result, I requested for these documents from the petitioner and the Co sponsor and uploaded about 4days after initial submission. Does anyone know if this would cause any issues or slow down the application process?

If you already done that, then you do not need to do anything since 2018 tax season not pass yet. However, be prepare to get a 2018 tax transcript of co-sponsor and send it to beneficiary and bring it to the interview( possible the interview will take place after 2018 tax season complete).

    Thank you.

  4. Hello All,

I need some advice regarding my application to NVC, I had previously uploaded 2017 and 2016 W2's from my wife and my father in law who is co-sponsor. We decided to use a Co-sponsor because my wife who is the petitioner had not received her 2018 W2 now that the document is available, is It advisable to go ahead and upload to CEAC? I am assuming it is no longer neccesary since we have already added household member and have submitted the I-1864A for this purpose. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you

I understood "recent tax year" as 2018, so I uploaded by 2018 W2s instead of my 2017.

I had 3 W2s, so I just uploaded all of them into one PDF, compressed it, and uploaded into the other supporting documentation section.

I think they prefer that documents are uploaded seperately, I might be wrong, but this is the information I have got from others before I uploaded my documents.

    Still waiting...

Why is Lagos embassy being so slow? According to what I read from other people's timelines, usually something should be scheduled by this time. I'm really hoping an interview will be scheduled by the end of this month but I'm scared it might take even longer. This is very frustrating, though I'm still trying my best to be patient.

I'm super concerned it seems to be taking almost 5 months now! I just submitted documents to NVC this month. I havnt seen anyone with interviews for March at the Nigeria embassy.

I've petitioned my wife to bring US from India, and i am originally from India US Citizen. So my file has got received in NVC and have to wait few weeks to till case get assigned. Meanwhile what do i need to prepare for?  what are the documents i need to submit and prepare? can you please list if you dont mind for preparing the package? will 2018 year tax should be ok to submit as i have made less in year 17& 16 under poverty guidelines but for the 2018 i've made $32k? Please help me out with questions if you can.

    Thanks-

If you have your 2018 tax transcripts I think you should be fine, If you do not however, you will need to find a joint sponsor.

    Question...

I got my husband’s police certificate in early January and just got my case number yesterday. On the NVC site it says that it expires after a year but someone told me that the country that he is in (Dominican Republic), the certificates expire after 30 days. If this is true then it expires next week. Does anyone knows if this is true. It seems like a short time. If it is expired can I still upload it for NVC and just get a new police certificate before the interview?

Yes you can, you can get a new certificate before the interview.
