I applied online.
- open USCIS online account, because you need it to apply for N400.
- Prepare your documents as .pdf or .jpeg, put them in one folder on your computer and name them accordingly, for easiest access and upload. 
No need to mail anything, online submit online. Payment is also done online in the end of the application. You can pause application , and enter it for updates for 30 days, before final click on “submit” button😃
 
You can find check list of needed documents on USCIS web-site. Very easy. 
-green card
-extension letter (in case you don’t have green card from I-751)
- marriage certificate (in case of previous marriages of both spouses, proof of divorce etc) 
- birth certificate of children 
- US passport copy / birth certificate/ or certification of naturalization of US spouse (petitioner)
- proofs of marriage with your both names on it (lease, house mortgage, insurances, joint bank accounts)
- tax documents from the beginning of the marriage 
- some  photos (I added same from I-751 and new ones also)
- bank statements (I submitted few from each year since the beginning of marriage) 
 
Maybe I forgot something but you will find it on USCIS check list for N400.
 
when you finish, you will find your case in a form to print out for you want.

I had my combo interview on 11/20. The interview went smooth, not too many questions asked and my officer was a very cool guy. Although my husband came with me he wasn't needed in any portions of the interview. The fact that the officer asked me whether it was my husband sitting with me when we were in the waiting room proves that he actually looked at my file prior to this. We started off with the I-751 file  I'd never realized my file was huge until I saw it on the officer's desk - I was just like wow).  Basically it was just the verification of my information and hubby's (name, DOB, work). He asked about our current address, which I told him and offered him the lease - he said no need however changed his mind 30 seconds later,  and whether we have and plan to have kids and that's about it. It took about 10 minutes and I was approved on the spot. The N-400 was easy. After I passed the test he just read to me a series of yes/no questions on the application. All it took was around 10 minutes. The rest of the time was just him typing info into his computer, and the interview was 45-50 minutes in total. In the end I was told I was scheduled for the oath ceremony next month and my notice should come in a week. At this point I breathed a sigh of relief that I was officially done with all this paperwork nightmare forever woot woot. So word of advice: come well prepared. You need to know your applications like the palm of your hand and make sure you bring all the documents needed and you should be fine.
 

Congratulations! And thanks for sharing your story. Proof that VJ forums have more information that some tier 2 phone officers (although to be fair some can be very helpful).
 

I finally received my N400 approval and a scheduled Oath for November 19th! 
 
- Applied on Jan 2,2019 online, while I751 was pending
- I had n400 interview on May 9th, wasn’t approved, because I 751 was pending.
- Got I751 approved in July 2019 there wasn’t any update about N400 since then.
- I wrote many emails and made many calls, but they never responded and they “broke” the 120 days after the interview law as well.
- I wrote to Congressman and they sent inquiry toward USCIS on Oct 5th
- I also wrote to Senator
- I don’t have information if Congressman or Senator did something about approval
 
I am endlessly thankful to so many good good GOOD people here on VisaJorney! I wish you speedy processing of all your requests and a happy life!

PS: I have this urge to call Uscis customer service after I have my passport in my hands and tell them- you never helped me with anything 🤪😂

update, they scheduled me for a new interview on Dic 2, I'll let you know what happened after my interview, I hope they can take a decision.

Well , I for a response to my inquiry I submitted on Sep 12, via phone 1-800. The reply came in a form of a written letter.
 
“USCIS records indicate a formal adjudicative decision has not yet been made on your form N-400, Application for Naturalization. Although your application is still pending, USCIS anticipates you should receive a notice of action on your case within approximately 60-90 days of this notice. USCIS makes every effort to process cases within the projected timeframes and in the order in which they were received. Please be advised that posted processing times are goals based on Field office averages. The goals are subject to change and can vary from office to office.”
 
So, 180 days (almost) since the interview plus 60-90 days for possible decision. 
I really don’t know what to believe, but I have almost no faith in reply.

Hello!! I just came back from my combo interview at the San Antonio field Office.  The experience was great, our IO was super nice and had both my files on her desk and announced right away that she will conduct both interviews today.  My husband was there for both, she just reviewed information about us and our children.  My children where included on my i-751 application.  So once we went trough that, she said she will approve it once we completed the N-400 part.  I got my English reading and writing first, then my civics questions.  I got the first 6 right, and I  passed.  She told me they have an Oath ceremony this coming Friday, and asked me if I wanted to be included, to wich I of course said YES! since we are staying in San Antonio for work until friday because of work anyways.  So we were asked to wait so they could schedule me for the Oath and meanwhile she worked on approving the ROC, and came back out to let me know that she approved and my children will be receiving their green cards.  She put a sticker on my Green card, stating that Conditions where removed so I can present it at the oath.  My estimated completion time was March 2020, now it will be November 1st God willing.

i called again, i got the “number” for Tier2, supposed to call me. It hasn’t happened.
I found one lawyer for 30 min free consultation (usually those things are $200). 
This was today. He told me:
- that I shouldn’t have applied for N400 while I751 was pending.
- That, basically, I751 being approved sits in CSC not assigned to any officer, and they also didn’t probably send any notification to my field office about I751 being approved. 
- that N400 documents sits in field office, not assigned to any officer, cos I had interview, and there is no any notification about 751 being approved, so no one cares anymore
- that I can wait until processing time is over (max 13 months for field office), and that those 120 days don’t matter to them, cos I had I751 pending (?)
- or I can withdraw n400, and re-apply again, paying again and biometrics + interview all over again. 
- going to the court would be thousands of $
 
i don’t know how much of this is true, I will try to find another consultation, there is one cheaper, I will pay and hear another opinion.

It's really frustrating, I hope something happen in the next couple days. 

I called to USCIS too last week and they gave me a receive number  on oct-7, I hope they resolve our cases ASAP good luck and please if you have any news please let me know

It only started to happen fast once I got our Representative involved. Prior to that, my I751 was in a black hole for for almost 22 months.

Yep. That was the same for me. I had to fill out a privacy release, and include some details on my case. I created a timeline for them with all the dates. 
 
I followed up with the office about a week later to see if they received any updates. (Which they did). 

Yep, that's what I did. My Representative has been extremely helpful.  Hopefully yours gets approved soon. 

Oath ceremony is scheduled!!! 🎉🎉

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Just an update: will make appointment for infopass stamp this week, then we will book our travel( I will go with my wife for first 2 weeks and return ...for work, &she will staty with her family for 3 more weeks if her vacation request gets approved for 5 weeks). I just made appointment to get passport stamp next week. I’m on 19 month waiting after file I751 hope will get something soon. The CSC process time now increase to 20.5 months then I can send an inquire but hopefully will here something before. Thank you for sharing.

Yesterday finally my status of N-400 has changed to "Application is approved and waiting for the oath to be scheduled". I had my N-400 interview in February, 2019 (they couldn't approve because of pending I-751) and I-751 they approved in July, 2019. They never asked for RFE or any other information...the case was just pending for all this time. 
So I guess this is what happens sometimes if you don't get approved on the spot...yes, I contacted senators and congressmen and did an infopass apt, but it never helped 🤷‍♀️
Well now I only worry if they received my address change petition which I've submitted a week ago.  LOL so many things happened in my life since then, now I am in another state and praying for soon oath and the end of dealing with USCIS.

Checked online today, oath ceremony is scheduled for 9/25/19. The end is in sight.
