How long does the 221g take after send in the required document?
It just all depends on how fast embassy responds back to applicant. Plus Remember each case is different.

Any documents that embassy require you to email to them goes to KingstonIVDocuments@state.gov

Guys the embassy is at liberty to request nothing, everything or a few things. No one can tell you for certain what may or may not be requested of you. We can only provide guidance based on knowledge or experience. Therefore, bring everything you uploaded to NVC and then some. On the I864 the petitioner's income was listed for the past 3 years therefore, while it is not an absolute requirement to bring all 3 years, the CO can ask for it. Everyone's case is different. What happens for John's case is but a mere insight into what may happen for Mary, it is not a rule. It is best to have more than required than not have enough and be given a 221g or worse. So again, prepare/arm yourself with everything.
You couldn’t have said this any better!! @Stacey Ann
Embassy don’t play to issue 221g paper because they expect each applicant to be prepared...we hate seeing someone post saying they got that paper so guys walk with house and land Please!!!
This been such a long journey for everyone so don’t let anything go wrong 🙏🏽

I put the wrong year for my previous job do you think it’s a big deal or should I request to open it back up ?
I would just leave it alone because it's justs a date for a job but if it was a birth/marraige date then thats another big issue. Just wait for your interview if anything you can let Co know. All the best 🙂

True....but remember we don’t know we just speculating that’s why myself and @Stacey Ann said to email embassy. To find out from sources mouth. We all want to be approve but at the same time if something seems off it’s a natural reaction to think something is wrong but @mrstoyou17 hopefully your hear good news soon

Yes she got approved at the interview but her medical was pending
Honestly I would tell friend to follow up the only best answer is from the embassy but normally when that happens applicant should be ok if the medical goes well but if medical fails then that’s another story. But I really hope they hear back something soon 🙏🏽🤞🏽

Just asking for a friend, what if the status says refused after your interview? 🤔
I’m sorry to hear that but did your friend get approve at the interview? I believe if they issue a 221 (g) and request docs it’s gonna go into refuse until they receive what they need Then the status should change however I would tell your friend to follow up with embassy. Hopefully that helps

Still waiting a week and a half later. They said a few, up to 2, weeks
here’s the website to track case after interview
https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV
Put your case number and the code they give and press submit. And it should give the result and show the last time they updated your case

Thanks for the info, however it's too late for me to request that now. I have the 1040 and S Cooperation (for self employed). I will be the lab rat and give u my experience. The NVC website state Tax transcript OR Federal Tax Return so let's see. I contacted immigration lawyer she says what is on the 1040 is same as what is on the transcript so it wont be a problem. I will know my fate Friday.
All the best 🤞

To all the recent comments about transcripts
PLEASE❗️❗️❗️❗️
If you don’t want any delay on your case I urge you to get that 2019 tax transcripts and 2019 W2. If you have your 1040 still bring it too but that 2019 transcripts is very important. They been asking for it so it’s best everyone just be over prepared. My husband was ask for it and other interviews that was before him... If your interview is coming up in couple days and you don’t have it I guess you would have to explain to CO but then they will probably issue 221 (g) so get it request in the mail a head of time. No one wants a delay on they’re case so try to avoid it if you can 🙂. -

Did anyone get DQ'd without the police certificate and uploaded it to ceac later on? In my application I said i'd bring it to the interview, but wondering if I should go ahead and upload it there since i have it now. Wondering if it even makes sense doing it since the case has been sent to kingston already?
Nvc is finish with your case once it touches embassy anything after that it’s all through Kingston so Just bring it to interview.

Do we need the w2 if we have the 2019 tax transcripts?
I would send it just to be safe though they really want transcripts but at times they ask to see w-2 has well. They ask my hubby for my w-2 and I wasn’t going to send it but I’m glad I did . So it’s best to be safe and be over prepared.

Hi Everyone
Quick update
My husband did his interview August 24 and he got approved 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I will be doing his review experience pretty soon on my timeline chart however the Co (A lady) ask these questions.
If he ever been arrested
Where does he work and what’s his job title
Where do I work and what’s my job title
Where did we get married
Where did we go for our honeymoon
When was the last time he seen me
If we have any children together
If this is both our first marriage
On which one of my trips did he propose
How many people was at our wedding
When I travel to see him were do I stayHow many times did I travel to see him prior to us getting married and how many times did I come back after
The Co did not ask for any public charge form however I didn’t send him with any.
Documents she ask for
My 2019 w-2 and 2019 transcripts
To see Our original marriage certificate and his Original birth certificate.
His police record, passport and passport pictures.
After that she told him everything looks great and she told him congratulations I’m approving your case and to wait 1-2 weeks to receive his passport with visa.- Mrs Samuels, Firebread, Jodie876 and 3 others

@MS CANTY
So this transcripts has been a hot topic and I’m just going to clarify it again.
What ever you uploaded to nvc please bring it to your interview. Embassy been requesting the 2019 tax transcripts and so far asking some people for w-2 so it’s just best to be over prepared. Everyone’s case is different so not because they didn’t ask this person doesn’t mean they won’t ask you. Walk with everything
