  1. I got rejection for I-765, I-131 today by mail.

I mailed all files with green card, I-765, I-131, I-485, I-130 in May, They didn't send back my I-485 and I-130, does that mean at least they accept my green card application?

I'm confused now is that I-765 rejection is that 'fee is not correct'. I remember if I applied I-485, I don't need to pay extra $495 for I-765

  2. Hi guys,

    I really need your help.

I passed road test today, but when I went to apply my formal driving license, they told me according to 'Admit Until Date', they cannot issue me license because this date will be expired.

I told them I got married in Mar, but they said they can only use this date in SAVE system to verify whether I have legal doc to stay in US.

I did some research online, our K1 visa holder cannot apply to extend this date to USCIS.

Will this thing also affect my green card application?

What can I do for my driving license, the only thing I can do is to wait for my green card? I am so sad that I cannot drive.

  3. I applied as soon as I landed in US in the middle of Mar, still no SSN number, I went to the SSN office last week, they said they can just push it, but it's pending because something hasn't been updated by immigration office?

I cannot even apply my driving license due to no SSN number now, it's so sad.

This might be better asked under the China forum, and I've posted the question there, because I'm curious too:

Some steps, eg. the Medical Exam require a "visa interview letter" or an "NVC Interview Letter" (I don't really know what these are):

    See this document.

After u book your interview, system will generate your interview letter online, u can choose to send mail to you so that you can print it from your mail or online system, I've printed it

Probably as the lawyer is connected to your case if he is a smart lawyer. Why don't you call your lawyer and ask if he submitted G-1145 for you and he to receive communication from USCIS.

I caution you that you will get more information here about the process and what to do then the lawyer. Many here are your "boots on the ground" the lawyer has "shoes on the desk" experience. Which do you want. Be involved, ask questions, don't assume your lawyer knows what to do. We have seen may cases go "south" where a lawyer is handling the process. JMHO

Hi, Greenbaum, yes, I got many info from this forum,  from everyone's experience and much help from you, thank you so much, I called NVC today and got my GUZ number, but it's weird that my mailbox never received any mail from USCIS or NVC, I checked my case status from the NVC website, what does it mean 6 steps? What should I do now?

I'm not sure if you can choose other locations than Guangzhou,  we chose it because it's the closest location to us (Hainan)

I don't even remember if there are any options to choose, it has been a while since the time we filled the form

I found this after doing some searches,  but since it's not from the official embassy  website so I can't say if it's 100% true

the embassy website only stats that it will be forwarded to Guangzhou for future processing
