I’m guessing I’m the first October filer that got approved ☺️. I didn’t submit the document for getting email updates but for some reason while talking on the phone with my husband I checked my account on myuscis.gov (not the other one that you can check your case status without logging in) and it said my case was approved on February 12th! Best Valentine’s Day gift ever! My PD was October 12 at the Potomac service center. Didn’t receive the noa2 letter yet but should be coming soon. Soon everyone else will be getting approved. Good luck everyone.
Congrats!!!

Looks like USCIS has been working hard after Winter Break.

Every 3 months is not too much. The more you visit her, the more it should help. I empathize with you being away from her so often - has to be difficult. I live with my spouse in Brazil.
Completely agreed. The more you visit, the stronger relationship ties you show.

This might be out of topic but not really. How often are us citizens visiting their spouse while going thru this whole process. I visit mines every 3 months or so but i think it may mess up my income as I have no joint sponsor at the time. Is every 3 months too much? I know it depends on people’s financial situation but just wanted to see how everyone else does it. It can’t stand to be away from my spouse this long and always feel depressed when I leave him.
Gojo,
That's a lot more than some people. This is my second time around this process (with the same spouse) and the first time, I didn't visit her at all. My job wouldn't give me permission but twice a year. The most important part is to show continued ties, such as conversations (email, texts, WhatsApp, Facebook, phone records, etc.). Pictures are also important so takes some every day you visit him in a different place.
Hope that helps.

Thank you it was accepted without any questions
What evidence did your husband end up sending NVC? I was thinking of submitting VA award letter, 3 months of bank statements, and payment history from ebenefits. Also, did he write an explanation of why he had no tax return?
Thanks

I am living in Colombia with my wife, I had to file in the US through the Chicago lockbox and they forwarded my I-130 to Texas Service Center. Good luck.

Looks like Nebraska is almost two months behind the other processing centers. Since October they have only advanced 1 month... Wonder if the government is slowing down I-130 processing on purpose.
I wonder how the much the government shutdown will affect our petitions, although TSC is moving along nicely so far.

Is that account set up with the name of the petitioner or beneficiary? Suppose I as petitioner will set it up since I am the one tracking the progress of the paperwork. I'll be very happy if it only takes 4-6 months to for the NOA2.
Anyone can sign up for an account and manually add a case with the Receipt number.

Looks like I have received my NOA1 in the mail, for whatever reason USCIS decided not to accept my G-1145 for e-notification.

You and I filed the same day and the I-130 was received the same day.. Difference may be I am going through a lawyer in Houston, that may be sitting on the NOA1 notice... Once I get some number I can follow the process, but for now I am a little concerned at having no news. She tells me I will be notified when the USCIS number is available.
.
I believe if your lawyer filed a G-28, which they should have, they will be the one to receive the NOA1. The NOA1 will contain the receipt number which will allow you to follow your case. Make a myUSCIS.com account and add the receipt number for the most up to date status of your case. From the looks of it we have at least 4-5 months before approval.

I am in a very similar case. I just filed for my wife’s immigration visa for the second time, first one was granted in October of 2011 right before my deployment. Life brought us back to Colombia for a few years, so she filed an I-407 until we were ready to head home. Well, the time has come! Since we are overseas, we had to send it to the Chicago Lockbox and it was assigned to the Texas Service Center (SRC).

I am currently living in Colombia with my Colombian spouse, and have filed the I-130 to the Chicago Lockbox. I am a little worried because it has ben received and the payment has been process, but no e-notification of application acceptance (G-1145) or NOA1 yet. This is my second time around doing this (with the same spouse 8 years apart) and know its a long process but remember almost immediately receiving an e-notification. Has anyone else experienced this delay in receiving an e-Notification?

Back story: My spouse and I have been married for 8 years now and have one 4 year-old. Life brought us back to Colombia for a little while while I finished graduate school, she filed an I-407 to abandon residency status in the US and get a tourist visa to travel while we lived here. We are now ready to move back soon and started the entire process over again.

Have you made over the limit for the last three years? If so, you have nothing to worry about.
