For clarity, did the status actually say "Initial review?"
What did the IO say at the interview? Typically at the end, they say something like "Am going to approve this application." Or "I will approve the application pending review from my supervisor" etc

If they approved it, they should have given you a letter instruction on how to remove conditions.

Would you share more on what happened?
That might help us decipher what your status actually means

Got a mail stating the application in initial review status. No update in website. The IO didn’t tell anything whether it is approved or not. In 120 days if you don’t get any update you can check with uscis is what she said. The IO is not that cool. Even when we wished her no smile no response from her.

Guys, exciting news! My EAD just updated to “new card is being produced”, PD 17 July.

My brain lost functioning when i saw the message, after refreshing the app for 114 freaking days and finally got something! 😹

pray for the July fliers that PD day is near mine, you will get it soon!

Congrats for your Ead. What is the app I should download to check the status?

I went there to get documents to apply for a driving lisence but they said I can’t apply until I get my EAD. So I asked when that will be and the woman called the person who deals with scheduling GC interviews who said I would most probably be receiving my combo card and an interview date in November! Apparently she was sending letters out in early November for the interviews. So just waiting!

Thanks for the info. Actually even I thought of booking an info pass appointment. But don’t have a valid reason. Just thought that will increase the chance of someone touching my documents and process soon.

    Hi!

I filed my AoS in late July and had an infopass appointment a couple weeks back saying that they will be scheduling me for a GC interview in December. My status changed to "Case Ready To Be Scheduled" about a month ago now. The woman at the desk said I was very fortunate as other people on the list I am on have been waiting since 2016!

What was ur question for the info pass appointment?

Yeah, that's what I meant. When they have your stuff together and think you're good to get scheduled, your status changes, but the chances of you getting that interview vary. California and Texas? Pffff

AS Baltimore is taking more time to schedule interviews, not expecting my interview anywhere soon. But I am more concerned about my ead. Just want to know weather something is happening on my ead as I don’t see any status update. Am I the only one like this or others facing the same?

i see for others status moved to ‘finger print review completed’. But mine still in case received status. Does that mean my case is processing slowly?

PD doesn't really help us since that depends on what u are adjusting from.
    Are u adjusting from a K-1?

She meant update your VJ timeline since what you just wrote here we cannot keep scrolling to every time someone wants to help u answer ur question.
What day did you file? When is ur NOA date? etc.

To update ur VJ timeline, go to the top of your profile page

Click on "My timeline", "edit" and then fill in the information as needed

Was not aware that I should fill the timeline in profile. Thanks for the info. I have updated mine. Married usc in India. Came here with a visitor visa and applied for aos

Apply for your social security number.  My wife applied 2 days after arriving in the U.S (https://www.visajourney.com/content/ssn) and the card arrived in the mail 1 week later.

Start filling out the I-485, I-785, and I-131 for adjustment of status, employment authorization, and advance parole.  You can send these as soon as the ink dries on your marriage certificate next week.  Get passport photos taken (for the applications mentioned) and prepare to request several copies of your marriage certificate.  Collect documents needed when you submit the I-485.

Ask you spouse to add you to utility bills, cell phone plan, and rental agreement.  When the social security card arrives, your should be added to your spouse's bank account.  All of this (plus health insurance statements and beneficiary statements) should be saved as proof of a "bona fide" marriage for your upcoming green card interview.

Good luck and congratulations! - Jason

Hi Jason, r u guys done with ur interview? I saw ur post sometime back in July aos files group. Even I applied from Baltimore on July 31.
