just few question hope u could advise

    1. Have your CEAC status ever under administrative processing?

    2. How long it take u have your passport back after u submit your new police check?

    thank you!

Yes. I got my visa after approximately 7 working days after resubmission of my new Police Report. The CEAC status changed to issued after 5 days.

Thanks! Did you do anything to make them move faster (like calling or emailing) or it's just that they're fast? I heard that it can take longer. Three days would really be a great news! Did you also get an update when they received your passport? (Sorry for bombarding you with all these questions :P)

No. I didn’t do anything. I was only just checking on the status on the ceac website. After three days of receipt of passport, it showed ISSUED. No. I didn’t get any major update except for the date changes on the ceac website.

So here's my case: I was interviewed last month. Was being put under AP, received a call last week saying they received clearance and asked for my passport to stick the visa on. I sent my passport through the CITIC bank this Sunday and it showed that they've delivered it to the embassy this Monday. Now, because we needs to get to the U.S. as soon as possible, we've been sending emails through the public inquiry form and desperately refreshing the ceac website for the last few days. It was updated Yesterday 5pm, so I'm wondering if this means they've started processing my case again or is this just a "we've received your passport" sort of update? How long does this process of sticking-visa take?

It will take a minimum of three working days. Going by my experience with the embassy after mailing in my passport, I got the “ISSUED” status on the ceac after three working days. Weekend excluded.

After a long process my wife's visa has been issued and is on it's way to us. We got married July 4, 2016, so she will receive the IR1 visa.

We sent original application to UCSIS and it was received on March 14, 2017. We got notice it was going to NVC in February 2018. We were slow in getting our paperwork to them (I travel back and forth to China a lot), so our case took a while at NVC. We got a notice at end of July that her case was sent to Guangzhou and that her interview was to be September 6. I got to spend a little over two weeks in the US then I came back here to China and we headed to Guangzhou with our paperwork. Her medical exam was a breeze and the interview was a breeze. We got a preliminary approval at the interview because of the alias record. She traveled to her hometown and got her alias record in the notarized white book, traveled back to Guangzhou and turned it on at the CITIC bank location by the consulate. All in all our case was in AP for about two weeks (consulate was closed for two holidays, including three days this week). She checked the CEAC site this morning and it has changed to issued.

Our case took a little longer because we weren't in such a hurry as I work here in China a lot, and we have a home here also. There is a significant age difference between us but when the officer saw how often I am here and that we have a home together it wasn't a problem at all.

The consulate in Guangzhou has been great. I know that I would not want to work there. Its crazy there every single day but they treat everyone with respect and they are very helpful. My hat is off to them!

Was your other original documents kept with the embassy till you got your passport back? I am in the same phase presently. Thanks

I’d like to share about our K1-Visa process with you all! I am an American woman with a Pakistani Fiancé. We both lived in China during the entire visa process.  First we assembled our documents for 1-129F and mailed it to America on January 25th 2018. They received our documents on February 10th 2018. Our case was approved on August 20th 2018 and was delivered to NVC. We got our case number from the NVC on September 11th 2018 and they also sent our case file to the Consulate in Guangzhou on that day. The Consulate received our case file on September 26th 2018. We received packet 3 on October 10th 2018. We mailed packet 3 documents back to the consulate in Guangzhou on October 11th 2018.  We received Packet 4 via E-mail on October 16th 2018. After that we made an interview appointment for November 3rd 2018. We also made an appointment at an approved hospital in Beijing at Beijing International Travel Healthcare Center for October 22nd 2018. Due to abnormal chest X-rays, my fiancé had to do the extra sputum tests which tests for tuberculosis. The extra tests were taken three days in a row from October 24-26. The results for these tests could take from 6-8 weeks so we had to cancel the interview online and notified the Consulate about the testing. As soon as the hospital received the results (which were negative :) ) they informed the consulate and mailed us the documents on the 26th of December. We received the medical documents in the mail on the 28th of December.  Also, on the 26th of December we received the email from the consulate with a new appointment date and time. The date was set for January 7th. We went to the interview in Guangzhou on the 7th. MY fiancé got a green 221(g) asking for additional documents (petitioner Domicile and Notarized Police Certificate covering entire time in China). We mailed the additional documents as well as his passport via CITIC bank on January 10th 2019. The consulate received it on January 14th.  The visa was issued on January 22nd. We received the passport with the Visa inside and documents on January 27th 2019. We are headed to the States on January 30th 2019! :)  Thanks everyone for your help and good luck to those still in the process!

Congratulations to you guys. I am at this same exact situation. I also got a green slip last week to submit only a Notarized Police Certificate covering my entire time in China. I would like to ask, was your other original documents kept with the embassy pending the issuance of the visa?

  6. I had my interview this morning and I got a green note stating preliminary approval pending my submission of a new Police Report. She requested I mail a new Police Report to the embassy and they will look into it and issue my visa.

Is this same as 221G? The paper I was given didn’t state 221G though but it said “you have been approved preliminary pending your submission of documents ”.

Has anyone been in this situation before and how long did it take after submission of the documents they got their visa in hand? . Anyone received such notice after he’s or her interview?

  7. I had my interview this morning and I got a preliminary approval pending my submission of a new Police Report. She requested I mail a new Police Report to the embassy and they will look into it and issue my visa.

Everything seems pretty straightforward but oh boy, the Visa officer grilled the hell out of me lol... Check every entire pictures but surprisingly, didn’t ask for 2018 Tax Transcripts but 2017.

I am hoping the visa issuance wouldn’t take a long time. Anyone received such notice before during he’s or her interview?

My fiance just had her interview at the Islamabad embassy. We got 221g for Adiministrative Processing required. The CO did not say anything about it but said will let you know. They only kept IRS transcripts of last three years and told my fiance your side is okay but we will let you know if anything needed. They did not keep her passport tho...any idea or suggestions.  As I am sure everyone is quiet worried about this notorious decisions. Please advise

    Thanks in advance

I am assuming all applicants from Pakistan and some other muslim countries go through this general AP stage after the interview. I don’t think  you have anything to worry about. All you can do is wait on them to request for passport and issue the visa.

If you don’t mind me asking, amongst your last three years u submitted, did you submit the 2018 tax transcripts? And if not, was it requested during the interview today? Thanks

  9. I have my interview coming up a week from now. During the nvc stage, I didn’t submit the 2018 tax Transcripts as it wasn’t available but I read somewhere if interview falls on or after the 15th of April, you are likely to be asked to show your petitioner’s 2018 tax return transcripts and w2.

So to avoid being placed on AP incase the CO ask on the day of interview, is it safe to upload the 2018 w2 & tax return transcripts on the ceac website days before the interview or just wait it out and show the documents to the CO during the interview if asked for the 2018 docs? The previous years were uploaded and accepted on the ceac.

Well I emailed the embassy to ask if I needed to upload and NO ONE responded haha... so I am going to go ahead and upload it... I would rather do too much than not enough. I might call too so I'll let you all know.

Where did he get his Tax Return Extension Document?

Are you still able to upload documents on ceac even after case complete and interview date being set?

congratulations, I didn't know they scheduled interviews for case complete in the same month, maybe its because feb was a short month, but it gives the rest of us hope... :)

Guess it’s dependent on embassy plus I think they accept high volume of applicants monthly at the Guangzhou Embassy since China is a relatively populated country. You should be scheduled next month. They are done scheduling for the month of April.

Been wondering why Manila embassy is kinda taking a bit long to respond.

My Cc is feb 22. Anyone else here waiting for an interview (Manila)?

From what I have seen on here and groups on Facebook, Manila embassy seems to be pretty fast in scheduling interviews despite the tons of applicants from Philippines. Makes we wonder why some embassies with less applicants gets to schedule interviews late.

Once more congrats to all my Aug applicants who got approved today..im super happy ...we came along way..

However there is a little set back with my hubby's case..the CO asked few basic questions..which he answered..she asked to see pictures..hubby gave her..she asked for 2017 transcript...while my husband was getting it...the CO said to him..pls drop it off at dhl...the line is getting long ..so my husband said here..i have it...she insisted on him to drop it off a DHL office..so he received a white form..

With check mark..to submit AOS n transcript...what makes me annoyed is..he has all those documents with him..the co was in a rush after she went through our albums ..anyway he will drop it off tomorrow morning..

Ridiculous!!! Only if these CO’s knows and experience the trauma and pain couples go through... So inhumane
