nintendoswitch got a reaction from Duncan21 in N-400 June 2020 Filers
Had my interview today. June 2020 filer.
15 minutes, very simple. Oath ceremony scheduled the same day.
I am officially a U.S. citizen.
Just be patient. Y’all turn will come eventually.

Hey guys. Check y’all cases. I read somewhere else that today a bunch of interviews were assigned and surprisingly enough mine was scheduled today.

Noom's citizenship was approved yesterday, and the oath was administered, so his immigration journey is at an end! It is such a relief, and we're both so happy. It has been a long journey, frustrating and emotional...and lots of work, too. As Noom said yesterday, its like a huge mountain has been removed from his brain.
I applied for his K1 visa in April 2016...4 years and 7 months ago. Since then life has been full of documenting, saving, filing everything to prove our relationship. What a relief now not to worry about that!
I think the hardest thing about the whole process is the lack of updates, news, etc...its a huge black hole. No news is good news they say, but for me long stretches of no news played with my brain and emotions. That said, if it were not for Visa Journey the process would have been so much worse. Having folks to learn from, to commiserate with, to encourage...plus all the timelines and process information... truly made the journey easier.
Thank you all! And good luck to everyone still waiting...

When you call USCIS and the robot says “what can I help you” you just need to say SPEAK TO REPRESENTATIVE
and that’s it. Repeat that as many times as needed until the robot voice connects you.

It means it was sent to your local office. You’re getting interviewed pretty soon.

Here we go.....
My N-400 interview has been scheduled - 11/17.
My field office is Charlotte and i filed on 6/24.
I cannot believe my N-400 will be this quick especially with Potomac stalling my I-751 since last year.

Congrats. Y’all having interviews already is sending my anxiety to the roof. Let’s hope we all June fellows get notices soon.

I had my interview today at Cleveland, Ohio. Interview time was 1:30, I got there at 1:00 pm and waited for 15 mins in the lobby since they don't allow you to go through the security checks until 15 mins before your appointment. At 1:15pm I went to room 501. Gave my appointment notice and then at exactly 1:30 pm, the officer called me. We proceeded to his office, I sworn to tell the truth then he asked my current green card and if I have the old one and I said yes, so he took the old one and said I didn't need it anymore. He verified my name, address, date of birth and current job. Asked information about my husband, when we got married and trips outside the US.
He then told me that he will be testing my civics knowledge. He asked me these 6 six questions- I can't remember the 6th question, we were talking too fast and I was so anxious lol
• One right of a US citizen
• Who was the President during the Great Depression and World War II
• Name one branch of goverment
• When do we celebrate Independence Day
• What ocean is in the West Coast
He made me read the sentence on the tablet- Who can vote?
Then made me write on the tablet- Citizens can vote.
He asked me all the questions in Part 12 of the N-400 form.
After that, he gave a piece of paper saying that I passed and is recommended for approval. He also said I will get a notice for the oath ceremony within 30 days. I was out of the building by 1:40pm.

The all thing was very easy and comfortable. I was in and out of the building in 40 minutes, including security check and wait.
First they verify the info they have are current, employer, job title, address, phone number, etc.
Then the test itself. If I remember correctly those were the questions:
- Who does a senator represent?
- Who vetoes bill?
- Name a branch of the government
- Who's the commander in chief?
- If the President can no longer serve, who becomes President?
- Before he was President, Eisenhower was a general. What war was he in?
The officer mentioned the questions were randomly selected by the computer. Also for the writing test, I had to write on a tablet. Same for the signatures, no pen or paper. The phrase I had to write was something like "The flag is Blue White and Red".
Then some questions based on the N400, have you ever been a terrorist, nazi, communist, prostitute, drunkard. Have you ever had problems with the law, arrested, DUI, etc.
At the end he told me he will recommend me for approval and gave a form.
This morning I got a notice that I was approved and the final step is the oath and that I will be notified when it is scheduled. So compared to the green card process, and despite the delays and anxiety due COVID19, naturalization so far has been a walk in the park.

I’m a June filler and my 4 years old biometrics we’re re-used too. I’m skeptical. Let’s hope it’s not a glitch.

Hey guys. I received a notice that my biometrics will be reused.
wow I am honestly surprised because they are quite old (4 years).
The notice was uploaded to my online account.
I wanted a new photo on my naturalization certificate 😭 haha.

My biometrics are from March 2016 from my I485 and they just reused them for N400. I765 reused them too.

I kinda want new biometrics. My greencard photo is hideous and old from 4 years ago. I want to look better in my Natz certificate haha.

I found this on reddit
“Making this post because it seems like there's sparse information out there these days on N-400 biometrics appointments and (especially) on occurrences of biometrics reuse. I haven't been able to find anyone else commenting that they've received biometrics reuse for naturalization cases so maybe this will give some hope to other applicants out there.
My case is with the Nashville, TN field office and I just received a notice that I wouldn't have to appear for biometrics. I'm glad because given my location, the nearest ASC for my zip code is actually Atlanta, GA which seems to be extremely overloaded (especially these days).
Case filed: June 4, 2020
Biometrics Reuse Notice: August 7, 2020“
mightyindian·16d Did you give bio-metrics in the recent past on some other need?

And the user replied:
n9sf4w3·16d The only biometrics I've done was ~5 years ago during my work-based greencard application
4Reply —— This gives me hope. there’s a chance for old biometrics like mine could be reused -

That’s the thing. During my ROC my prints were already reuse from 2016 so I’ll be lucky if they’re re-re-using my prints from my original adjustment lol
we’ll see

I have a question for N-400 based on three years- marriage. Does your spouse have to go to the interview with you? I’ve got mixed answers but my understanding is that no.
thoughts?
