Mikeyn92 got a reaction from mepck in September 2018 I-129F FILERS
Finally got approved via Case Tracker app, which I think is connected with the old site.

    NOA1: old site 9/11, new site 9/13.
    NOA2: 2/4

my fiancé is Japanese and she’s with me visiting me in the states when we got the news.

so what’s next? I’m sure it’s been posted several times, but is there a page for NOA2 people with helpful instructions?

    Thanks y’all!

No. USCIS and all will do their own background checks on the US side.

You get it at the petitioners address on file with USCIS. The beneficiary wont get NOA2

You can also get text/email if you signed up for it. You'll still get it in the mail but sometimes you'll get the text or email first.

I didn't put mine in an envelope, mine was a photocopy that was on company letterhead, dated, and signed by the employer. It was sufficient in Australia !

For the bank statement my fiance went to his bank and they printed out a statement of his accounts and stamped it with a signature/date. I took a photocopy of this as well which was enough. He had to go to the bank and get that.

Sent my packet on Saturday the 8th. Was received on Tuesday the 11th. Filing for my fiancé who is Japanese.
They deducted the $535 from my bank account yesterday and still no notification. But the deduction of money was promising... I guess.

She was resident in the US, but not domiciled here....a confusing distinction for a lot of people.  Domicile is a fixed place where you plan to remain.  Residence is where you actually live.  Sometimes that's the same as your domicile, sometimes not.  When here as a student, her residence was the US, but in order to qualify for a student visa her domicile had to continue to be in her home country.

You need to include her US dorm address as a residence for her on the residence history.  It will not, of cousre, require a police certificate, since one is not needed for time spent in the US.
