Just received RFE in the mail. I forgot to check MY ethnicity. LOL. I am a dumbass. Will send back immediately on Tuesday morning. I signed in black ink, completed the circled part and took a photocopy of each page. 

My fiancé received the RFE in the mail today.
 
It basically wants us to prove that PlentyofFish.com is not an IMB.
 
Has anyone else had to deal with the IMB issue?  I’m not too concerned, but a little surprised that this is what it was about.

Well We received today the letter for rfe!!! It says we missed sending page 2 of the form. Who knows I am sure we send it. I check that package like 20 times before sending it. And thats all they want. I was afraid it had to do something with my divorce or something with my kids because they are usa citizens from last marriage. Or something with custody even though I have full custody of them. But I hope after this we can move forward! 

To try and figure this process is fruitless and will only cause additional angst before it is all over.

Let's look at this logically. Let's say there is something in your background and if your case is adjudicator prior to the background check at what time does the background come into play? Not at NVC as their responsibility is to assign a case number after checking to see their is a billet left for your Embassy. If you get as far as the Embassy interview and still no-one knows you have a issue in your background and the Embassy reviews your file and sees that issue in your background then look at all the resources that have used thus far not to mention the money you have spent.
 
So in my opinion it's going to be done first and then the adjudication. Because till the issue in the background gets resolve why spend the time to look at all the evidence.

I wish there were some very clear instructions on what USCIS exactly requires with an RFE but here's what I would do if this were my RFE. I would definitely sign right beside where you check the answer no, and me being me, would also send it in with a cover letter indicating the missing information has been provided and detailing the missing information in the cover letter. For example, "as per your request, we have completed the missing question on page #, part #, item #, and wish to confirm that "name" has never been married." I know this may be overkill but just letting you know how I would handle this....

finally after 2 enquiries and almost 230 days of waiting we got our APPROVAL
no RFEs
it showed only on old website and mobile application;
nothing on new website, no hard copy, no email, no text messages;
hope this is not an issue

I was also thinking that we are a “special” group because we are the first K-1 applicants of 2018.  We all filed in January, and now in late August, we are finally getting answers.
 
We are the pioneers of this newer, longer, more scrutinizing process 😎
 
These RFE’s might just be the new thing....

I am so happy it’s just only an easy one to fix. We’ll send the response tomorrow right away.

Am I crazy or does it seem like USCIS was off for 2 weeks and then came back to rain on us all with RFE's on the same day? I am not complaining beause at least its "something" but still, it seems weird that I have not seen many approvals over the past few weeks. 

Me too. Don't worry. It is usually something simple, and once you return the requested info then your case will get approved shortly after. At least that is what everyone is saying... My RFE was sent out on 8/28 and I should get it in a few days. I have no idea what it is for.

To be honest most times you don't get any specific answers. But I have previously found out that i was in background checks and it seems that the adjudication step occurs once backgrounds checks clear. For the background checks they definitely send them somewhere else or some other department but i have no clue where. Finding out when the last activity on your case is something i was provided today (even though it only advised it was assigned to another officer). At the very least this much information will tell you if you are still in background. If it is in July i would definitely say still background, while if it's recent then highly unlikely to be in background.

Don't worry about your fiancee not being the pushy type, if I am being honest, like everyone else here I don't think it makes any difference either way. At the end of the day they'll get to it when they get to it. Having more information in the meantime is nice but won't have any impact on USCIS timelines.

Without a doubt crazy. The information we look for on our online accounts is far too important for there to be glitches that may or may not give us accurate information. People who are relying only on their online account information may or may not be receiving accurate data. It's a toss of the coin whether you are getting the right information or not. Thank God I have my NOA2 in hand or I'd still be doubting if I actually had an approval.
 
But remember after the NOA2 all those still waiting may play a little catch up in the process as I understand from information posted on visa journey that NVC only sends batches to the consulates. The next batch is apparently September 4 and it is probably unlikely mine will be received and sent in that batch. So mine most likely won't get sent until the September 18th batch. Which means many of you just a couple of weeks behind me will play catch up and we'll be sent to our embassies at the same time. Hope that makes sense and puts a little glimmer of sunshine into this excruciating wait.

@Snuffles you two are so freaking adorable!!  In one time zone you have breakfast, and in the other you have supper the evening before!  I love it.  There are couples who are already together who don’t even appreciate being able to enjoy a meal sitting at the same table.

Hi guys.....we finally got our Noa2 yesterday, we are so happy☺️. We sent back our rfe on the 13th of this month, they got it on the 16th and now the notice date on our Noa2 hard copy is  the 22nd. They have not updated on the  website yet. 

We are still waiting for our RFE letter. Hopefully our RFE letters will arrive this week. 😊

got the approval letter for NOA2 in the mail today.  my fiance and i are so happy.  its incredible, the wait is finally coming to an end.  or rather, i can see the light at the end of the tunnel
