Hi everyone!!
Quick question-- our case still says "at NVC" when I check the CEAC website.
Should I assume I can't create a profile and pay fees until that status changes??
I got my case number from the NVC by phone on 3/18...
Thanks!!

Hey everyone,
We got our case number from nvc by phone on march 20th.
Status still says "at nvc" but hoping that changes soon...
In the meantime, we submitted ds 160.
Anyone know anything else we can get ahead on while we wait?? Or do we just have to wait until my fiance gets the packet from tge embassy??

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the stupid question!!
I called and got my NVC case number. (I am petitioner)
While we wait for the package to be sent to my fiance (beneficiary), Ill be continuing collecting and finalizing my docs.
Until then, it's okay to go ahead and do the DS 160 right??
Is there anything else I should do while I'm waiting??

yes show recent tax return and recent paystubs.
you can prepare a letter explaining the situation, but i think your fiance dont have to hand it in to them voluntarily,
just get it ready in case they ask specifically about it.
Thanks for your reply!

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well
Hoping someone could help me with a quick question about changing jobs and the timing of the interview.
Im currently in Japan as a student, but am working and making around $2500 usd per month.
I will be leaving to go back to America in late March, but we are expecting my fiance (Japanese) to have the interview sometime in April.
Although I expect to be employed shortly after returning to the States, I'm not sure what my employment status will be at the time of the interview.
In this case, will paystubs and tax documents be sufficient for the i-134? And should I prepare some sort of document explaining the situation for my fiance to take to the interview??
Thanks so much!!

Hello!!
I sent in my initial i-129f package to the Texas drop box, and about 2 weeks ago, the transfer for the application fee went through... I included the form to receive an email confirmation when the packet was accepted...but I've yet to receive the email.
Should I be expecting the email right away? Or is it supposed to take time like this??
Thanks for any help

1. Yes.
2. Yes.
3. Your current income counts, your US taxes counts.
4. Yes.
Thanks

That's what I've read I've seen some people get done a lot quicker....so just being hopeful. We plan to probably have him come over on a tourist visa while the k-1 is processing....then come back for the interview together when it's time

Hi!
I'm completely new to the k-1 process... was hoping you guys could help me out!
My situation:
I'm an American citizen
I currently live and work in Japan, and will be living here until the end of March, 2019 (I'm a student but make roughly $2000/mo)
My fiance is a Japanese citizen
We want to go back to the US and get married as soon as possible once my visa is finished here
A couple questions:
1. Is it ok to submit my I-129F while I'm still here in Japan?
2. Does my Japanese income count for affidavit of support?
3. I've been here for only 6 months (Jan 2018) so would my US income from 2017 count if we applied this year/had the interview in the next 6-9 months?
4. My sister has agreed to be a cosponsor....should both of us prepare 1-134 ?
Any information would be a huge help
Thank you!!!

Hey guys!! Our interview is coming up soon!!
Everything is in order and we are hoping for smooth sailing!!
We met on Tinder. I know that should be no problem as it is not an imb, but hes been reading lots, and saw something about the officer asking someone whether or not the dating site checked my criminal records/marital status, and if they had provided her with proof of that.
I thought this was weird, and dont forsee any problems, considering tinder is well known, and definitely does not do background checks lol
Anyways if anybodys heard anything like that causing problems let me know.
Good luck to you all!!
