Such a long and hard journey. We have a US Citizen child and we both had to leave the US to complete this long process. But is all done now. Thank you all for your help and prayers.
Waiting to pick up visa and passport.

I did a forum search and came up empty apologize for off topic.
How soon can you apply for financial aid after receiving visa at immigration interview? I currently live in the USA and have been paying for college out of pocket. I have a i601a waiver and interview for January 3rd. Once approved and come back to the states, would I be considered a permanent resident immediately or until my actual card comes in the mail?
You will get a stamp at the point of entry when you come back to the US. So as soon as you enter you will be consider a resident. Even if GC hasn't arrive yet. Good luck on your interview!

No, CO didn't say either approved or denied. Just said they need to check more things and the decision is supposed to be made in less than a week.
The only 2 questions were:
1. What does the petitioner do in USA?
2. What are you planning to do once you get to USA?
Please let us know when he gets approved!

Hi everybody,
My husband had the interview today and they kept his passport and documents and the status is "Administrative Processing". They will let us know once a decision is made. Does Anybody had the same situation? 😟
Thanks
Did the CO said his visa was approved?
Would you share what was he asked for those who have upcoming interviews in Bogota.

Yes, finally got a hold of them. They said that the scheduling system had booked our interview and another person on the exact same time, the other person was booked 1 second before ours. So they had to cancel that and put it back in line to get another date, but because they did that the system automatically sent us a cancellation email. They said they are hopeful that we will still get December interview, I am just worried that our case went back to the bottom. So I am still following up with them.
wow! Best of lucks and I hope you get the date real soon.

Hello Everyone, my CC was 9/5, I called NVC yesterday and they said still no interview yet and that I should keep waiting. This morning I wake up to find an email from NVC saying that our Scheduled Interview Appointment was Cancelled and that they will reschedule as soon as possible. I have been trying to call NVC since I got this email but I have been on hold for over 1 hour 30 minutes. Does anyone know what this might mean? They never even scheduled an interview to have it cancelled?
Where you able to talk to NVC? What did they say?

Hi,
You mailed your documents and received a case complete within one week? That was fast.
I submitted electronically on the 23rd (yesterday made a week).
How did you find out that Colombia is behind?
I have been following several timelines and it seemed once the case was complete, the interview date took place 5 weeks later.
I was hoping to have an interview before Christmas. 😕
Electronically??
When I did it back in september Colombia was not ellectronic. I had a lawyer do it for me and she mailed it. Ellectronic was not an option.

Because the people from July was getting interviews 1-2 weeks. Then in August is when they started giving in 5 weeks. But that's unpredictable because there is people with casebconplete in October that got the date 10 days after CC. So I really don't know.

I cannot stop checking. I actually called NVC yesterday. She was nice and sounded optimistic that I would hear something soon.
I am from Colombia. I sent my documents overnight on Sep 20th. They received them on the 21st Friday. Entered into their system on Sep 24th Monday and on Friday Seo 28th I got Case Complete. Hope this help... And waiting for an interview since then. Colombia got so behind I am desperate to get my date and hopeful I will spend Christmas there.
By the way I called today again and no date yet!!

Well, the next thought that comes to mind is whether we have started seeing people on this platform with December invites! This is really not a good experience but I believe all things work together for the good of those that love Him. Interestingly, we all have this "awaiting interview" statement. I feel it's a bit difficult for our documents to really be misplaced at NVC (just feelings not sure) especially that they keep checking for us individually, and returning with the same story. On the other hand, one can't really figure out the cause of this delay. My wife and I were advised to contact a particular Senator in the States. Again, we feel we should hold on and see our chances in this December schedule since they have just started scheduling. I will want to suggest that while we keep waiting for a possible slot for December, we can continue to call them daily. I'm really planning to call tomorrow by God's grace. Marvel not, anything can happen between now and midnight. Some of us can wake up to see the invite in our boxes. So, let's keep the faith alive, pray the more, call as deemed fit, and patiently watch to see our slot for December. We will laugh last in Jesus name. JUST MY HUMBLE SUBMISSION!
I have called everyday since Sep 28th when my case was completed. In August it took only 1-2 weeks for most people to get an interview date in Colombia. In october some people got an interview for Nov even when their case complete was in october. So no, it's not in order. I called earlier and the lady put on hold while checking and off course said no date yet. So I asked if there is actually sometging wrong, why she put me on hold and why I am not getting a date what is wrong with my case????? She said, nothing is wrong they are just waiting for a date for me. I asked if they have started scheduling interviews for Dec and she said yes, to keep calling. I hope we all get the interview date soon. Let's pray God and to his glory we will all end up victorious in such a difficult journey. It's so easy to say to stay calm but it's so hard to wait day after day. I will try to be strong since we are almost at the end. Good luck and please anyone from any country that gets interview this week please let us all know!!!

We also received interview date today! Nov 5th for wife and daughter. We received the "in queue" letter on Sep 25th. Happiness!!!!
Congratulations! Did you call or received the email? What embassy?

Yes. My husband's card was lost for 8 months after Adjustment of Status, due to address changed. Even when they had the right address. Many calls and same answer they gave you about wait and wait. Until after 8 months he went to infopass and he got the GC that same week in the mail. So take an infopass. Good luck.

Hello,
Unfortunately, it is not that fast. My CC is 8/21 and I received my interview letter on 10/2. Interview date: 11/6
Idk why Bogota is taking so long now? Back in June, July they were giving interview dates 1-2 weeks after CC. My CC is 9/28 and no interview yet.
