I actually dint expect it to come this soon. I am assuming the long wait will be after biometrics. Hopefully you guys gets yours soon too :)

    Hello!

My husband finally received his Biometrics letter two days ago! His appt is scheduled for early August.

I was hoping biometrics to be waived but i guess MSC does not participate in that, lol.

Anyways, a least im happy that we got an update , lets see how long it takes after the biometrics appt.

NOTE to everyone: My husband I traveled to the Dominican Republic last week, no stamp needed, everything was fine here and in DR, he only presented the passport, expired green card + extension letter.

  2. HellO Kayjee, congratulations!!🥳

My husband case was also received on 2/19 and we are still waiting for a letter or case status update about biometrics.

our is also MSC and I have been told this center is very slow ,  so I'm surprised you have received this letter so soon.

Anyways, we will keep our hopes high and wait for some updates soon, if so, I'll make sure to let everybody know here :)

    positive vibes for everyone!

  3. Hello group!

Im just curious, I've been reading about the ones who have gotten MSC case #'s have been still waiting to get Biometrics letter.

I mailed my Husband's packet on 2.12, it was received on 2.16 and NOA letter received around 3.19. Ever since that day we have been waiting to get a letter about biometrics but nothing yet.

Do any of you happen to know how long it will take for this office to send such letter?

I'm trying not to get anxious here! lol

Are you talking about NOA1? I was talking about the G-1145 form where they would send us text messages once they receive our Packet. People usually get the text in 3-4 days after USCIS received our package.

I also sent the Package with the G-1145 form almost a month ago but they never notified us of packet received. I think they are skipping this step and we are all waiting for NOA at this time, which is taking about a month.

Like our fellow member said: New normal unfortunately. lol

Since it was received 2.16, based on people from January filers and people from February it is taking USCIS about 1 month to start on packages and send things out. I would assume you will get the extension letter before his green card expires. Mid/End March potentially

Thank you very much for your response. I will wait patiently for the check to be cashed and Hopefully NOA before his GC expires! Good luck to everyone! :)

  6. You guys are lucky. I never received that reminder to file...

BTW... I had to submit my husband's i-751 by the end of January but We were in the Dominican Republic for family related purposes. as soon as we came back, I started preparing all the documentation to send to USCIS.

I sent the i-751 packet on 2.11.21 via USPS certified mail

    packet received: 2.16.21 at Lockbox

my husband green card expires on 4.14.21. Do you think we could get the extension letter before that day?

I appreciate all of you for being in this group

I know. It's unreal. I am waiting too. My PD is 03/15/18. I'm so anxious to hear something. Like I just want to have a normal married life here in the U.S., is that too much to ask for USCIS? 😕

Also, I wanted to update everyone that I wrote my senators office and I asked for their assistance. They replied last week saying they received my request and that they were going to submit an inquiry to USCIS for a more detailed update, at least more than what USCIS provides on the phone. They said they would email me with their updates. You don't lose anything with using your resources. I suggest others do the same. Let's bring attention to the matter.

hope they give you an answer very soon and your case get approved!

I have been following your case and I imagine how frustrating this maybe for you.

Hi did u call the NVC and gave them ur email address or did they use ur email Id provided in the I 130 form.. we have similar dates and so curious. Our file wasalso received by NVC on oct 10th.

No i didnt give them any email. They said they were going to use the email given on the I130form. Thats the email address they used to send me the notification. Pd: my NOA2 (approval) has a date of 9/12/2018

    ok but when was yp

your i130 approved from USCIS ?

my NOA2 (approval) has a date of 9/12/2018

Congrats! Did you provide your email address to NVC? Someone told me they already have it in the approved i130.

No, I didnt. You are correct.

I was also wondering if they had my email but when I called the NVC the first time they said they had one provided by USCIS. So It means they used the same email given on the I130form to send me the notification. But dont worry after you recive a case# and invoice# there is a place for you to update to any other email address you prefer.

Congratulations for your progress, and all the best for the next steps.

wanna ask you that, how long it took for you to receive your case number from NVC ???

means the time from NVC received your case to they have assigned you the case number,  can you please tell ??

    Thank you!

To be honest, I was  calling like everyone else and they kept telling me that the case was received but not yet updated into their system.

My phone call was on October 11th and they sent me an email with my case number on the 25th. So about 14-15 days after they received it.

  11. Hey guys, hope everyone is as excited as me in this process... I would like to ask everyone... Did anyone already received the NVC letter. I was also told my file was received but they couldnt see any case details... they asked me wait 2 weeks and call back to see if any updates have been made, but I'm so anxious about moving towards the final step that I can't wait. I'll call again tomorrow morning to see if I they can see my file on their system already. 😁

I'm still waiting with a PD of 03/15/18 at TSC. :(

So after I tried calling the first time with a Tier 1 and they said the case was  "not active." I considered going to a Tier 2...which I still want to try now. I suggest that people start writing their senators office to speak to the USCIS advocates. I sent an email to my senators office and they gave me a form (HERE ATTACHED) to fill out and send back. I explained that I called USCIS and that after 7 months my case still appears as "not active." The office contact said to fill out this form and send recent correspondence with USCIS, such as NOA's and/or RFE's.....I only have NOA's.....and that they would see how they could help me get further answers. I explained that I was very frustrated and anxious to hear that our case wasn't active after such a long time and that I wanted to know more details.

    Good luck everyone! :)

    USCIS Privacy Release.pdf

Hope everything goes well with that letter.!   But why havent you talked to a Tier2 yet?

I thought you were going to do that before taking any further steps...

Anyways do what you feel comfortable doing, I know that this must be a very frustrating period for you. I'd probably be doing the same as you. =(

Awww!! Congrats too. I'm happy that you finally got yours after a long wait. Do you know the next step we should take after noa2?

    Thank you so much!!

I am not quite familiarized this is NVC process. however i called the NVC about a week ago and they told me they havent received my case yet, they asked me to wait one month until they received my documents so they can give me more information about the documents they will need from me. but Im thinking about calling again next week because USCIS case status says that they sent my documents to NVC on sept 21st.

So, since im so eager to finish this process, I will call again next week until I hear my case was received! jajaja 😂

Wish everyone good luck with this NVC stage and lets keep in contact for any questions/concerns related to this!!

When you call the customer service number the first person you'll speak to will essentially just repeat whatever information you already have/know such as processing times for your service center, your current status that you can easily find in your online account, if you need help setting up an online account etc etc. Once they finish saying all that just politely tell him/her you have all that information already but you need a little bit detail than that so if it's possible to be transferred to a tier 2 associate. The person you are speaking might become a little defensive by saying a tier 2 person will essentially give you the same information he/she has already given you; don't fall it. Just say that's ok, please let me speak to a tier 2 personal. Tier 2 personal will actually be able to give you a little more info that tier 1; just a little bit.

I actually just talked to a tier 2 this morning, and I got new information on my application that I didn't have before. He essentially said it's in process but in the adjudication phase which he said is the last phase in their process. What does that tell me? At least it tells me they have passed the FBI background phase and are now about to make final approval decision on my case.

Now, for you specifically the status they gave you is pretty upsetting; how can they say your case isn't active yet since you filed since March 2018. I think that should be actually a more compelling reason to ask to be transferred to a tier 2 to find out why your case isn't active for 6 months. I'll advice next time you call insist to speak to a tier 2. All the best with your case.

Correct!! Thank you very much for giving her the same advise to contact a TIER2 , everybody deserves to get more information about their case. Not just a regular (isnt active) answer. If it was me id be so sad. its so good to be such a supportive group!! 😃

They said that my case wasn't showing up as active yet. She repeated to me what I know already about the priority date and USCIS processing times, and waiting to be out of normal processing to submit an inquiry. I'm unsure about the Tier she was, but I am glad to have this forum to learn about how to go about things differently. I was discouraged, but I am excited to be going to visit my husband tomorrow so my spirits are rising. I hope that when I return things have changed with our case. It's just going to be so hard to leave him again. It's so hard to know what or how we will be notified about this. Still praying... March filers keep your spirits up.

Ohh wao. I have never heard  about a case like this in my sorroundings. Im so sorry this la happening to you.  but at least if you spoke with them and they told you to wait úntil it gets out of normal processing time then i guess youll need to wait a bit more. Dont get sad, everything has a solution in life. Maybe they are investigating a lil more b4 making a desition or something el se. I suggest you to wait about  10 more days and call them ask to speak to a tier2 officer right away.  Dont lose hope! We are here to support!

Yes I did ....but nothing! :(

But what do you mean by nothing? Because when you call directly to USCIS  a representative must tell you if your case is still under review or approved or otherwise.  Do not only check your case status. call the númber on the webpage speak to a Tier1 officer. If they are not giving you enough info, ask to speak to Tier2 officer.

Oh my goodness! I’m soooo happy for you! 😍🙌🏽 Thank you for thinking about telling me! I sure hope I receive mine too! I can’t believe how inconsistent USCIS is with their notifications of approvals!

Not a problem, I guess it may vary depending on what state your in or maybe if they need to make further verifications, but continue to check your mailbox because my priority date was march 14th and yours is 15th so you are next on the list!!
