Does anyone have an MSC case who has received their GC? I applied June 2020, got biometrics Aug 2021 and it’s been stuck on “awaiting interview to be scheduled” since then. Can’t find a processing time for MSC either. And I’m not applying for citizenship so just wondered if anyone else has any updates on this? Thanks!
-
I have not received any update on my case. All that USCIS shows is that my case was received on 06/20/2020. I sent an email requesting an update on 01/21/2021 and had zero reply.
Is anyone else in the same boat? Where should I go from here?
My 2yr gc expired on 09/05/2020. I got an extension letter but that’s the last thing I got. Thanks in advance!

Keep the original at home. Carry a copy of the letter with you.
Good idea! Thank you 😊

Hi everyone,
just thought I’d post an update of where I’m at right now for anyone looking for timelines etc:
ROC Timeline
6/9 - I-751 package mailed to Arizona PO Box
6/11 - package received at Arizona
6/17 - check cashed
6/23 - called USCIS and was given receipt number by phone as I forgot to include the G-1145 for notifications - MSC case number
7/9 - NOA with 18 month extension received by post (notice dated 6/30)
I’ve not received any news at all regarding biometrics. When checking on my USCIS log in, there are no updates other than “case received”. My GC is CR1. My I-751 package I sent was not excessive, it was 50 pages total including the application form and weighed less than 1lb. If anyone would like to know what I included, feel free to message me.
One question I have (if anyone knows) is do I have to carry this letter around with me along with my GC as proof of extension? Or can I just keep it in a safe place at home?
Hope this is helpful to someone!

What number did you call? What details do you need to provide to them to get the #?
I just called the general USCIS number from their website. They asked for my A- number and some personal details. Then I just said I forgot to compete that form and could I have my receipt number. They were cool about it and also said if I don’t receive my written notice within 30 days, to email the lockbox.

That might indeed be why! Let us know how the call went, hopefully you get your case number at least through there!
I called this morning and only had to wait a few minutes. They gave me the number over the phone (it is at MSC). I checked the status and it says “case received”. Just glad I can now check it for updates.
Thank you everyone for your help! 👏🏼👍🏻

You will probably get it in the mail in a few days. I bet getting a receipt number over the telephone will not be easy, if even possible. How would they be able to verify that it’s you?
Yeah this is true. I’ll wait another week or so and hopefully something will arrive in the mail. Fingers crossed!

Did you send in the notification form?
I did not. Doh! Totally missed that part on the website. I guess that’s why I haven’t had a text then. Maybe I’ll call them and ask for the receipt number tomorrow.
Thank you for your help! -
Ok so it’ll be one week tomorrow since my check was cashed and still no text message. Has anyone else experienced this or know why I wouldn’t get a text? I mailed within the 90 day window so it wasn’t an early application.
I’m getting concerned now 😰

Probably tomorrow or friday you'll get a message it also could be early in the morning too 😃
Thank you! I’ll wait with baited breath 😂

Just a quick question:
I checked my account and my check was cashed today but no text message yet with receipt number. Can anyone tell me how long it takes to receive the text after the fee being taken? Thanks!

Hi,
Back on VJ after almost 2 years!
I mailed our I751 on 6/9 and it was delivered by USPS on 6/11. The check hasn’t been cashed yet and no NOA received yet.
However, after reading this thread I am now extremely concerned that I didn’t send enough evidence. I had zero issues with any paperwork when applying for the CR1 - everything was smooth albeit not very timely. The package I sent was less than 1lb in weight although I included lots of joint evidence and affidavits. How quickly will I receive an RFE if I have not sent enough evidence? My CR1 green card expires on 9/6.
Thank you!

Hi,
I noticed some people may be in a similar situation as myself. Here's my story:
I came to the USA on September 5th 2018. Denver was my POE and I had paid my immigrant fee on September 1st. I had the visa in my passport and no paperwork as the UK was all electronic. My passport was stamped by the immigration officer and I was told to expect my green card in about 3 months. I never heard anything again.
After 120 days, I attempted to completed the form on uscis page which told me that my case was within 120 days (which it most definitely wasn't). I managed to get a form completed which said green card had never arrived. I then got an email telling me to wait 90 days for a reply. By this time I was so angry. When I tried to call, I just have to wait over an hour with no answer.
So I contacted my congressman and asked him to take over and find out information for me. That was after 160 days.
Then today, I received a letter in the post saying the Texas Service Center has not received my immigration visa packet!!!! This is the last straw. It's beyond me how they cannot receive an ELECTRONIC document.
The letter says to make an appointment at my local USCIS office which when I try to do that on their website, there are no appointments available. None. Zero.
I have no idea what to do now and I'm so frustrated with this fiasco. This is honestly the WORST customer service and the most incompetent people I have ever dealt with in my entire life!
So basically, if I hadn't contacted them, they wouldn't have bothered to tell me that they hadn't received anything and I'd still be none the wiser. Does anyone know what I can do now since I can't get through on the phone and I can't make an appointment because I have no idea where to go from here short of taking time off work to go to the office and speak to someone in person (if they'll even listen!).
Sorry for the rant, I'm just done with the whole situation.

I’m still waiting for my green card after 90 days on a CR1. Absolutely no movement on the case status. Very frustrating.

OK great so about 6 weeks... I'm just submitting all documents to the NVC now, so if all goes well I could have an interview in around 8 weeks?
Maybe! When I submitted documents, it took about 2 weeks for my documents to become qualified. This happened on 20th June and then I had to wait until 12th July to be assigned my appointment so it may be just a few weeks longer than that.

Congrats and thanks for sharing!! You must be so excited now
What does PIVOT mean? I got my VISA yesterday, and only have my passport and X-ray disk outside of the big envelope, is this correct then?
Pivot means all online filing. I believe that until recently, all the NVC filing was postal but now it’s all uploaded on CEAC. The man said all I’d get back is my passport and disc and they’d have all the other stuff online when I get to POE.

When you got your interview date did they give you options or did they just give you a specific date?
I got my interview date on 12th July and was given the specific date of 21st August. No options with CR1 but I believe it’s a different process for booking interview with a K1 application.

Hi everyone,
I thought I'd put up a post with a review of my medical and my interview as it seems only fair as I found other people's reviews extremely helpful.
Medical - Thursday 9th August 11.10am
I had my medical on Thursday 9th August at Knightsbridge Doctors. Initially, when I had received my interview date (21st August), I had called to make my medical appointment and was advised that the first available one was 23rd August. I wasn't happy about this and so called again a few days later and was informed that there was now an appointment available for 9th August which was better!
My appointment was at 11.10 and I flew from Glasgow to Gatwick early in the morning and then got a train to Victoria Station and a tube to Bond Street. I walked from Bond Street which took around 10 minutes. When I got to Bentinck Mansions, I was a bit early so went to the pub across the street for a coke while I waited. I went in around 10.45 and went to the desk and was told to go to the waiting room and come back to the desk at my appointment time. I went back at 11.10 and handed over my passport and a photocopy which I had made, my police certificate and a photocopy, 4 passport size photos, my completed medical questionnaire and my vaccination record. I was given a questionnaire and asked to complete it and return it. It was pretty much the same questions as the one I had to print and take with me but maybe a bit more in depth.
When I took this back to the desk, I was given a bottle for a urine sample and asked to return this when completed. There is only one toilet there so I had to wait as there were a few others there. When I handed it back I was told to go back to the waiting room. About 5 minutes later a nurse called me and took me to a room where we discussed my vaccination record. I had a problem where my GP didn't have much information on record for my vaccinations when I was a child as they were done by a community doctor so to be safe (and save some coin!), I had my tetanus updated at my GP beforehand and went to a travel clinic for 2 x MMR vaccines (1month apart). I had chickenpox when I was 6 and she was happy with verbal confirmation of that. I didn't need anymore vaccinations so she signed that part off and took me to another room for a chest x-ray and then I was told to go back to the waiting room.
I waited about 20 minutes and then was called by the doctor. He was very nice and told me his name was Prof. Poulter. I sat at his desk and we discussed my medical questionnaire. I have no major health issues so he wasn't worried. He asked did I have any history of alcohol or drug abuse, I told him none(I've never taken drugs and am teetotal). He asked if I had ever been in trouble with the police which I hadn't and we had a joke about that as I come from a family of police officers. He asked again about drugs and again I said none. I told him I was an ex-smoker and had stopped 4 years ago. He asked about a depressive episode (due to work related stress) which I had back in 2009 and i gave him further information and a doctors letter which I had obtained before my interview (thanks to advice from you guys!!!). He said he wasn't overly worried as I had finished taking medication in 2012 and hadn't had any problems since then.
He then told me he had to do an examination and did I require a chaperone which I declined as I had no problem with it. I had to put on a gown and he checked my eyes, ears, throat, prodded my stomach and then checked knee reflexes and feet. He took my blood pressure and pulse on my ankle. Then he took a blood test. He had trouble getting the tourniquet off and had to shake it around a bit and I think because of this, when he took the needle out, my arm wouldn't stop oozing. I had to put pressure on it for about 10 minutes. During this time he measured my height, weight and checked my eyesight with a chart.
He said he was happy with everything and didn't need anything further when I asked if my GP letter was alright. He wished me luck and then I went back to the waiting room. I was there for about 5 minutes and the receptionist called me back to the reception and I paid £330 and she gave me back my passport and a record of vaccinations which was for me to keep. I asked when it would be sent to the embassy and she said 7 working days. I asked was she sure they didn't require anything else as I live in Scotland so would be kinda difficult to get back and she said no and that the doctor had signed me off pending results of tests!
All in all, it was a pleasant experience. It took around 1 hour 45 minutes in total. The only negative was that I had an almighty bruise on my arm after the blood incident and my flight home was cancelled which was a nightmare but the whole experience was fine and the doctor was so friendly and put me at ease.
Interview - Tuesday 21st August 9.30am
After my flight nightmare for the medical, my dad and I drove to London (which took about 7 hours) the night before and stayed with a relative in Surrey. I called Knightsbridge on Monday 20th August to check if my medical results had been sent (since I've noticed people having problems with that recently on this site) and the lady on the phone confirmed that they were sent the week before.
I arrived at the embassy on Tuesday 21st August around 8.40am and went to the kiosk where I was told to go back at 9am as this was the earliest they could let me in and skip the queue and go straight to the desk. My dad meanwhile parked in Waitrose just at the corner where you can park for 2 hours as long as you are using the shop and he went into the cafe there. I went back to the kiosk at 9am and the lady asked for my passport and DS160 and told me to go through the security, into the building and go straight to the desk and don't wait in any queues as they are for non-immigrant visas. I went through the airport style security and into the main building and when I went to the desk, the lady stuck a sticker with a number and instructions on where to go on the front of my DS160. She explained to get the lift to 1st floor and then go to window 20. Once on the first floor, it was clearly signposted. There were some seats and a few people waiting and when my number came up on the screen, it told me what window to go to.
At the window, the man said he was checking my paperwork was in order. He took my passport, DS160, original birth certificate, original marriage certificate, original police certificate and one visa photograph. He took my fingerprints and completed a form and asked when I plan to travel. I told him as soon as possible if approved! He said I have to travel within 6 months. He then told me that because London is now PIVOT, I won't receive an envelope to take with me. I'll only receive my passport with visa page and a disc with my x-ray on it for me to keep. I asked if they had received my medical results already and he said yes. He kept my original documents and told me to go back to the seats and wait to be called by an immigration officer for my interview.
After about 20 minutes I was called to another window and the lady asked me to raise my right hand and swear an oath that all the information I had given was true. She then took my prints again and asked me:
1. How did I meet my husband?
2. When?
3. Where does he live?
4. Is it his own house or apartment?
I answered all the questions and she typed some information into the computer and said "I don't see any issues so we're going to go ahead and issue your visa and you'll get your passport back within two weeks". She gave me back my birth certificate, marriage certificate and police certificate. I thanked her and that was it!!!
Really easy. I was a bag of nerves but after all the worrying and stress, that was all there was to it!!!
I checked CEAC when I got home last night and it says "Issued" already (same day as interview). I haven't received anything from courier yet though so not sure when I will receive my passport back.
I hope this helps someone and if anyone has any questions, feel free to message me!

He had his medical on the 8th, interview on the 16th. He called Knightsbridge on the 17th and they said they sent it on the morning of the 16th. Hopefully it’ll show “issued” any day now and we can finally relax! Congrats on getting your visa 😊
Thank you! 😃

Hi All, my husband had his interview last week in London, but they hadn’t received his medical results yet (he had his medical the week before his interview). They said they were probably in the mail room waiting to be processed and was told to leave his passport at the embassy. When we check the status on CEAC, it says “Administrative Processing” and to allow several weeks for processing. It also says not to call and ask about it until 60 days have passed. Has anyone else’s status said AP after interview or did it go straight to “issued”?
I just noticed your post. I had my interview this morning (21st August) at London and they said they had received my medical documents when I had my interview (which was approved).
I had to drive home after the interview to Scotland and when I got back, I checked CEAC around 6pm and it says “issued” and last updated on 21st August.
My medical was on 9th August so it may be worth your husband checking with Knightsbridge if they have sent his medical yet. I called them on Monday 20th August and they confirmed that they had sent it at the end of last week.

Thank you, and sure. My medical was on the 27th of July, my Interview was 10th of August. This would have been plenty of time, except they requested more information from me at the medical, and my GP messed it up so didn't have it until a week later. When it was ready to be sent, the person responsible for sending it to the embassy was off sick for 2 days!
Ah I see. What a shame you had issues! But you’re done with it all now thankfully.
I had my medical last Thursday (9th) and my interview is on Tuesday (21st) but I called Knightsbridge today and they said my medical hasn’t been sent yet and to call back on Monday. I’m not best pleased because I assumed they meant 7 working days for it to actually reach the embassy. 😓
-
Congratulations! Your long wait is finally over! 💃💃💃
Could I just ask, what was the time between your medical and interview? I’m trying to figure out if they’ll have my results on time.
