We received an update: my husband was sent a g56 notice to appear for a second interview. It asks to bring all the same documents we brought in the first time. It does not mention anywhere that the spouse has to go. The notice is just addressed to him and asked for him to appear. Don’t know what to say or think.

Are you saying you’re still waiting for an update on your Interview?? When was it? And nothing since?
I feel so sorry for those who are left to wait. While I’m thankful to have received this update so quickly, I don’t know how I could stand to wait too long after the interview. IMHO, you should be afforded some kind of update ASAP - whether it’s an RFE, denial/rejection, or approval.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 For you and all!
Interview was on 9/11 and no update since. And if we call it’s still within processing time since she told us 60-90 days. Sigh. Did you ever receive your EAD?

Thank you! Maybe if you leave feeling all high and happy and feeling like it’s “in the bag”, is when things don’t work out?! I don’t know.
i can assure you, the feelings we had almost immediately after walking out the door...or probably...while we were still in his office, was an “oh god”...we failed.
We’ll wait for the jubilations until we have the actual card in our hands.....
yea, i pretty much wanted to cry and vomit after ours. My husband handled it better than i and its his gc! We're still patiently waiting.

So...just had our interview, and we left with a horrible feeling. Nothing stated explicitly, but that gut feeling you get...
- Asked almost NOTHING about the setup of our personal residence.
- Her DL still in old address. Just haven’t got around to changing it.
- Our shared bank account has only a few transactions over the last few months. Reason: whenever we’re out doing whatever, whoever pays just pulls out our own card and pays. Is that wrong?
- Health insurance is still separate. Reason: I’m still in that 90-day just started a new job and insurance isn’t active yet.
- Wanted note from school showing both of us having sign-out authorization for my 17 year old daughter. Really?!?!?!
- I was the target of most of the questions (beneficiary), and She was asked just a few basic questions.
- Provided Lease with our names on it.
- Provided plenty of additional pics.
- Provided my bank statements showing strong financial stability, that should negate the concern about the Petitioner’s capability of providing for both.
- I once held an H1B for a few months, but then transferred to another employer and back on to TNs. Kept asking me if I’d ever applied for Permanent Residency because of that. I answered, each time, NO. The employer made it clear they would never apply for Perm, but would do the H1B.
The overall feeling we got was that he basically didn’t believe that we actually live together. That’s just the feeling we have.
He ended it with some small talk, and shook our hands and said “good luck”. Mentioned that he should have our case reviewed by the end of the day.
Thoughts from this group??
I seriously think there’s something wrong... 😔😔😔😔
I totally understand your feeling of confusion paired with what the heck just happened. Our interview was 9/11 and similar experience except our officer was hot and cold. Sometimes nice and sometimes just meh throughout the interview. No real sign of whether everything was ok or if we need a second interview. Ours was in Newark and as you can see it’s been over a month and still under review. Good luck to you. I’m confident everything is fine for both of us and we’ll get our gcs soon enough !

Hii all. I had my green card interview today and the officer didn't tell us his final decision? He said that our case is under review and we can expect final decision notice on the mail. Can you guys tell me how long does it take to get a notice in the mail ? Thank you
had our interview yesterday and no decision made as well, from what ive been reading this is a little more common than i thought it was.

Iryna had her green card adjustment of status interview in Baltimore, MD this morning. We arrived at USCIS at 810am for our 830am appointment. Went through security and then checked in with the reception area. Sat down and got called back for our appointment at about 9am. Was in the room for about 30 minutes. Very very easy process. She went over the application line by line and asked me (the US citizen the names of her parents) and asked Iryna for my Date of Birth, her date of entry into the US, which airport she arrived in the US and our date of marriage. She asked for additional documents and we provided joint bank statements for both checking and savings, authorized user on credit card, joint car insurance, joint tax return for 2018, life insurance beneficiary , 401K beneficiary, joint health and dental insurance, joint insurance on engagement ring, about 80 photos of us together (of which she only wanted to keep about 15 or so because it would make the file too big). She said we had plenty of other evidence. Said everything looks great and that Baltimore policy does not too approve on the spot and gave us a letter which says to give them 120 days to review everything to make their decision. She advised it shouldn’t take nearly that long as this file seems pretty straightforward and she wished us good luck. All in all a very very easy process.
CONGRATULATIONS! Very happy for you, our interview is tomorrow

My wife called USCIS today and all Tier 2 would say is that it's under review. We're waiting for over 200 days now. Thank goodness our green card interview was scheduled for mid-August, but that just means that filing for EAD and AP was a waste of time.
did you get a notice in the mail for the interview or did she tell you over the phone?

I am not going to use pomp-and-pageantry here, because it's not the prudent thing to do. Many of you have been following my postings, some with grins, some with disdain, and some in support.
I was left with little-to-no-choice but to file an Expedite request, as my situation was looking extremely grim with the upcoming termination of my employment that not only would eliminate our family's survival income, but also do a huge dis-service to the folks I serve and the community we all serve in my employment capacity. I'm not going in to great details of my employment...but truth-be-told, I work FOR the citizens, residents and visitors that we serve in our city.
As of 1:00pm today, June 7th, my status has been updated to: "New Card is Being Produced".
I want each and every one of you to know that while I am enormously relieved, the welling up of my eyes is for all of us...EVERY ONE OF US...who continues to deal with extreme anxiety, stress, and frustration waiting for the process to move along. I am not leaving us, just because. I'm going to stick around and keep an eye out and share my encouragement and support.
For it is us who are doing these processes the way in which we are supposed to...legally...methodically...properly.
I wish everyone a safe and pleasant weekend. Please...please...PLEASE do not give up hope. That's all I've been able to rely on...and what I need you all to rely on, as well. ☮️
i am so beyond happy and excited for you. This is a very stressful process. Congratulations. Wishing you and everyone else the best.

Yay! Awesome! Mine changed back to Case was approved from New card is being produced tho.. I'm super confused and don't know what to think about it 😕
Dear lord, that’s odd hopefully it doesn’t mean anything and it’ll change to card being mailed...I really don’t know what it means but anything is possible with these people. EDIT : I just checked the status and it updated again but to the same card being produced status...maybe it’s a glitch?

Yeah I was gonna wait till the first week of May but I just couldn't wait any longer so I called them today and was able to talk to someone about the card. It took less than 15 mins to talk to the customer service! I think you should call them tmw! The earlier, the better! Good luck
So we called today and appearently have to wait up to 60 days ! 🙃 so who knows...

Hi Everyone! we went for biometrics on thursday and yesterday his status changed to case ready for to schedule for interview. Wishing everyone the best of luck on this crazy journey.
-
What I think happened was that since he never went for his bio appointment until yesterday it’s throwing off the “time line of updates” for EAD in his case. I’m hoping by next week we will get the card being produced update

No Attorny, and I don’t know if it is or if it isn’t. I’ve read multiple posts where people have gotten them and they’re not necessarily stokes interviews. It’s also just addresses to him not to me and states “you are to appear” so no clue.
