I know, right?! And I'm wondering if the long Memorial Day weekend with Monday 28th off work will affect the notifications. Maybe won't start til 29th? I'm so nervous. CC Feb 26 according to NVC, but didn't receive email til March 5. Hoping for an appointment this time around.

    Hi,

If you read the consulate reviews for Mexico, some are saying that while at the finger prints appointment, they are told to go to the consulate to have the documents they were told to bring for the interview "reviewed", or looked at in order to speed up the interview process. That is all I know at this point based off the consulate reviews.  I was hoping someone who has had an interview already would provide more information on what seems to be a "new step. "

It's heartbreaking to know they haven't finished assigning interviews for February approvals, which means us March approvals will be lucky to get a July/August interview. It is what it is, nothing but to keep waiting and prepare as best as we can.

I miss my husband, but get to visit a week over Thanksgiving, Christmas or in February, and the last two summers. We had trouble getting his police report which is why it took longer (they had something on it when there shouldn’t have been and took 6 months to find out how to clear it and 8 months to clear it) but he cares for his 88 year old father, so we weren’t in a huge hurry. We are getting so now though. Sick of being apart. I miss everything but the heat! We have no a/c.
I taught at most of the private schools for a couple of hours each day, and when Gardner opened their secondary/prepa I went there full time. Our little house on 19 right in the middle between Gardner and El Billy’s asador!  We just rent but will always keep our place there. It’s cheap. He came from DF in the 80’s to be a divemaster, but his parents retired to the island, and he has an adult son there, as well as his sister. So we will have both worlds!
We jump in the ocean at the Money Bar and swim to Presidente and back about 3 times a week, so I’m looking forward to that. A cool down in the hot afternoon. I hope our appointment is before I leave, as it would be best if I’m there.  He’s not the most organized guy, I’m the paperwork and organization part of the team! Hopefully you and I will be messaging in a few weeks!

It's a very good suggestion, considering that most of the people always ask tons of questions seeking help but don't bother to fill in a simple timeline to be helpful to others!!!

Thank you, all, for your posts here.  We are in a similar boat.  Simple spouse visa case.  Case Complete March 13.  Still hoping for a June interview, but feeling less likely by the day since the VJ spreadsheet is showing the most recent Case Complete date that has had an interview scheduled at CDJ is Feb 20 (scheduled on April 26 for June 26).   Good luck to you all and thanks for the info you have posted.

Our CC came March 5. I just called NVC right before I saw this post and they said they could not give me even the tiniest little idea of when we might be having the interview. Shut me right down!  Even though I sneaky-like tried to ask multiple ways, lol!

I see you married in Cozumel! We did too, in 2008, and I lived and taught there until 2016 when I had to come back to the US to work in order to have the financials to be able to do the visa. He is there, and I am going for the summer when school is done. At least Inowcan go with him to Juarez, unless the appointments run into late August, which hopefully won’t happen.

Keeping the faith we will hear by the end of May! I’ll post when we get our notification, please do the same. 😊

Theres a group in fb for ciudad de juarez. That really go over a lot of questions many have. I did see that people with CC in february were hoping for interviews in june. Since CC in january were issued May interviews. Hopefully July is our month.

welcome to the nightmare that is the Ciudad Juarez consulate! the longest wait from approval to date: 4 months on average. Suuuper casual.
We got a CC on March 15th and my husband called today. They told him ''we are in the normal waiting time, to try again''
hopefully we'll hear something soon  big hug!

Oh, I know what you mean. I'm he same way. It has helped us out, with me being so detailed oriented in this process and now without a lawyer. God always knows best and gives us each our spouses for a reason. 😘

Join the forum where we wait on interview dates and encourage each other and share info. Getting ready to start another month since April is over.

"In the queue waiting" means case closed and you are now waiting for the consulate to schedule your interview at CDJ. You dont have to do anything at this point, but wait. Based on what you have shared, you will most likely receive a letter/email in June, for a July interview. You can start calling NVC late May early June asking if you have been scheduled for an interview  because they also tell you over the phone.

Also, your status online will say, "At NVC." The next step will be to receive the letter stating that your interview has been schedule. This will come in an email form first, and approximately one week later you will receive the same information in the mail. This email/letter will have the interview date and time along with what to bring to interview (basically all the stuff NVC already has, plus original of the civil docs with copies, updated financial forms). Keep this letter, make copies, because you/spouse will need to show it at your various appointments.

..and there are no dumb questions in immigration. Better same than sorry.

    God bless!

    Hey Dear,

CDJ is extremely busy. 3 months from cc to interview letter, 4 months from cc to interview date.

    Our cc was 1/23/18
    Interview letter: 4/2/18
    Interview date: 5/29/18

    Hope this help!

J Laredo reacted to MXOK11 in USC applying for DACA Recipient
    Hello guys!

I just received my immigration appointment in Ciudad Juarez U.S. Consulate which will be in about a month on a thursday. Has anyone gotten an appointment on thursday and scheduled accordingly? I am wanting to go to my home state first and fly out to CJ but am unsure as to how to schedule everything. Also would anyone please give detailed tips and pointers as to where to stay, what to do, what documents to bring etc. My lawyer will be setting up my medical and biometrics in CJ but i want to make sure I know what to check for in any case my lawyer misses something. Also I am currently on DACA and someone here mentioned that one of the questions asked was if the applicant was a DACA recipient...do any of you know why they are asking this? if anyone can give examples of questions asked that would help so much. I really am just a little nervous and want to get as much info and tips as I possibly can and be fully prepared.

Also, I did not file for a waiver at all as I was told I would not need it. I arrived as  toddler and never left the country. Received DACA at age 16 and have been working and going to school on my DACA since. Does anyone else have experience with this process? did you have to file for a waiver or no? Will I still have to request a police record from mexico even though I was only there for a very little amount of time as a baby and never since?

I appreciate everyone in advance and pray my process is successful. Thank you!!!
