I'm really hoping for a physical letter for this May 1st update. However it doesnt say which service center our case has been transferred to.

    I agree with you
My case was transferred to Nebraska 25 days ago, haven't been updated since...tic tac tic tac ...I've been watching it like a hawk,  lol, though they said on the letter that I should hear from them within 60 days or so. Fingers crossed!
Good luck to all the new transfers,  May we all be closer to our green cards!
Oh, and congrats to the ones who got their approvals, how exciting!!
    Cheers!

Guys just checked on ROC bug number. It's been updated! Now says "your case was transferred to local office" on May 1st. What do you guys think this means? No updates on n400.

    Hey guys,

I did some crazy math and kinda figured out that they are working on cases from around November 19th, 2016. Based on my amateur calculations, we should be hearing back from them in August but that could totally change taking in consideration the whole transferring to different offices thing. Just thought it would be cool to share with you guys.

You will be transferred to NBC as @Derwood was. The IO was correct it will probably be a joint interview. @Derwood  applied in the latter part of Feb and has just had their interview date, unfortunately that will have to rescheduled as they are away.  I think the N400 can speed things up dependent on your local office processing times, it kind of forces them to send your file to NBC to put you inline for an interview. The only thing that seems to make people wait a tad longer are the local field office times. I

am not sure whether or not your ROC file follows your N400 file to NBC. As I have seen posts talking about interviews where the IO was unaware that the person had an outstanding ROC, whether they see this online or the file is in front of them, then I am not sure.  Apparently the security checks for N400 take up to 30 days or the FBI want 98 percent applications to pass security checks before 30 days, then you go inline. You can't see the inline notice on the new N400 system, but you can sort of see it on the old, where they say we have scheduled your interview, but there is no interview notice. You get that interview notice when your case becomes a priority date, which is dependent again on your local office processing times. I hope I haven't confused you, I confuse myself most of the time. Lol

You are more than welcome! I always thought filling the N-400 would speed the process. As we all can see, that is not the case, at least, at this time.

I still have to stamp my passport. I will have to travel very soon. It will be my first time traveling just with the stamp.

I had an InfoPass in March 12, same day I had my N-400 biometrics done. I was trying to get my passport stamped but was too early for that, so the IO refused to do so.

I got the same updates other fillers had (the majority). That my case was transferred to a local office. I asked the IO about this and she told me my case was transferred from one floor to another in CSC. She also said I will have a combo interview for sure and when I go back to stamp my passport she will keep my GC. It was disappointing because I will lose my expired GC and probably will never see “the color” of the new one lol...

Anyway, I still have some hope that the card comes in the mail before I travel back.

Signature confirmation restricted delivery means only the recipient can sign for the item. Normally anyone who shares your last name or address can sign to receive mail for you. However Restricted delivery means ONLY the recipient can sign for the item. That's why it's called restricted. I work for the Post office so I see this all the time.

Now that is a question I can't answer without looking at what their new rules say, however if its like say the mail man delivering a letter yesterday for my husband and I signed for it yes probably, although I think they say something about ID, so perhaps they would need your husbands ID or perhaps they will leave a card to arrange delivery? Oh I know they will ask to see your GC, oh thats right its way out of date and you don't have the new one!  Guess they thought that one through too over coffee and doughnuts!

That's my question to all the politicians. I know there was a HUGE rise in N400's since the new presidential administration and a HUGE rise in DACA recipients, which is understandable with what is going on. However, I am sure the DACA filings have now slowed down, there are only so many to process and if I am correct no new applications allowed.  So in theory things should be calming down, but with the HUGE backlogs, well I feel that it's not going to be an easy fix and rather than saying, hey guys this is whats going on, they are trying to pacify the masses. However, the masses are feeling peeved and rightly so.

I as you know believe in positive thinking, especially when it is done in the masses. I also believe there is something they are not telling us, just like politicians who withhold the truth most of the time. We are like hamsters on a wheel going about our daily routine, worrying about mundane or life changing things, not questioning the powers that be. If the masses clung together then that would force them into accountability, as these politicians or any organisation or nothing without the people they represent behind them!

There is one question I would love answering and would invite anyone from USCIS to actually give their side of things, why the heck have these processing times suddenly gone from 6 months to nearly 2 years?  What has caused this, again no accountability, no statement, nothing, nada. This actually makes my blood boil as we are their customers, whether they like that statement or not, we are the ones who pay their wages and keep this organisation going, not the government.  I feel that we should have answers and to blatantly dismiss us or our inquiries and unanswered questions is well frankly unacceptable and putting salt into an open wound!

So what can we do? We can speak with our voices and our feet, until they DO take notice and action!

Well you can try and see what happens. Worst case scenario is getting that same reply as the previous post and if you're lucky you'll get approval or RFE notice.

Derwood said its a fortnightly, two weekly automatic update. Reading through the lines it seems they did something to your case on March 1st, probably some kind of transfer, be it from the warehouse to the office, to a field office, to another service centre or such. Might even be that they are mailing you something, but I am guessing they did something with your petition on March 1st.

Yes I do think you should submit the inquiry if they have said that you will hear by the 28th March. The reason I say this is that if there is a mass inquiry then someone will have to sit up and take notice. Right now I feel that although they say they are not a business model they are. It is a money making machine. I know there is also security issues and such, I get that. However, sensible processing times should still be maintained and I feel they using that as an excuse for their poor service.

I also feel the one for them to take accountability is if there was a mass inquiry be it through a senator or through asking through their online service.   I just feel its a cop out and no-one wants to take ownership nor find a solution.

Love how they take ownership and deal with your outstanding petition............... NOT!!  SMH. Oh at least they are aware of the difficulties they are putting everyone through. I think someone at the top needs to be accountable for this hot MESS!  I feel sorry for all petitioners and even the staff who have to put up with all the inquiries and are powerless to help.  I feel they should not have been allowed to put their fees up a year ago if their service is not reflecting those hikes. If the rise was to employ more staff than that would be understandable, but to actually go backwards with processing times, after a fee increase is not acceptable whichever way we look at it!  OK I am off my podium now!

Well a couple of dresses to celebrate Spring and some beautiful lip glosses and clear nail varnishes for my niece, with flowers in them. So pretty and I have already started to buy her things for her 12th birthday. I love buying for others. I always go to England with more presents than my own clothes. Last time I had to pay for an extra suitcase  just to take the presents i had brought people. I don't mind thrift stores, my friend and I go round them when Im in England. In fact I use to do charity work for a YMCA charity shop many years ago. However, I am tiny and not very tall, so I can't buy much from the thrift stores, as it just doesnt fit, so I normally look at the ornaments and such when there.

I see 20 months for ROC and 20 months for N-400. I don't see 4 years though. I know we made the right decision pursuing citizenship before things get more hectic here.
