Posting an update to our situation after that whole fiasco with the USCIS and not ever getting our NOA2 hardcopy due to a mistake on their end.

So after having gotten all the way to the point of having an interview scheduled only to have our case sent back to the USCIS from the embassy we finally got a hardcopy of our NOA2. I've updated my timeline. There's no way to reflect the oddball events of our case so I'm treating it as if we never got an approval way back in June and it was just barely approved now.  You can read up on my older posts to see what I'm talking about as I don't feel like re-hashing the past all over again. I'm just happy we finally got something.

    NOA1 Received : 11/8/17
    NOA2 Received : 8/3/18

Old website still says received 11/8/17.....ridiculous
    New website says approved 8/3/18

A whopping 270 days from start to finish....again, ridiculous

I still don't consider us quite in the clear yet so just praying that we don't have any more out of ordinary experiences.

Good luck to those who are waiting still.

This process takes patience to a whole new level.

    Yup! Approved here.

Apparently we have been approved on Jun 29th, 2018. But it didn't show up as approved yesterday the last time we checked. No email notification. We just checked on the new website and it was approved. Check the new website.

    NOA1 (old): Dec 20, 2017
    NOA1 (new): Dec 26, 2017

    NOA2: Jun 29th, 2018 (191 Days)

    Updating timeline.

Just a little bit of patience guys. You will all definitely get your NOA2.

    Well, my suspicion was correct.

After 3 hours of waiting on the phone a Tier 2 officer basically told me that because I inquired to get a hard copy for my NOA2 as I never received one they essentially have to review the case all over again. They requested the consulate to send the case back to the US for review because I inquired even though it was already approved. The officer told me that when they pull it back a different supervisor will have to review as he may have a different viewpoint than the original reviewer. How retarded is that?!

I shouldn't be angry with this forum as the wealth of information has been tremendous but a way I am as I was only doing what people told me I had to do. And now we're suffering for it again.....

So, if anyone falls into the same situation as I did and you receive notice from the NVC that your case was approved despite having received and NOA 2 hard copy, just proceed forward without it. You don't need it!! If you feel like you just have to then do it after your fiance arrives on US soil, otherwise, you'll just open up a can of worms like I did.....

I can't even rely on CEAC now because it still says "Ready". It doesn't indicate that it was returned and I was told by the NVC when I called them earlier not to even rely on it cause the system is flawed. What is wrong with these people?

    So sad.....

Can anybody help... day 241 nov 1st here we have tried contacting uscis multiple times we have received letters mentioning that we enquired but nothing ever happens. They refuse to put us through to a tier two. What’s the best way to be put through to a tier two?? We are so lost. We have also contacted ombudsman and local congress in the past week.. have not received anything back as yet.
Our case is simple... I’m Australian . Both never married. No children. No Criminal history at all.

    Hi everyone,

called NVC this morning to get a case number they told me they haven’t received my case yet. Called at 6pm and was on hold for 20 mins, let the guy know that I am wanting to expedite my case with the embassy so I need my NVC case number. After asking for my receipt number from USCIS, he asked for my name, the name of my beneficiary, his date of birth and he gave me a case number. Exactly 2 weeks from the date we got approved. He stated they just received the case today. If anyone has similar timeline like mine and wants to call they are open until 12 midnight. The number I called was 603-334-0888

Officially hit 211 days..so I called USCIS for the first time. The lady on the phone was very polite but Im afraid not at all knowledgable about anything. It took a while but she figured out how to put in an out of normal processing time case inquiry. She said they will get back to me by 06/28/18 on the status of the case. Im hoping to God that it doesn't for whatever reason just make them mad and take longer. I know that's probably not going to happen but this process has made me so paranoid over every little thing, I don't want to annoy them. I waited until we were past their official processing date to call. Im so frustrated right now, and Im frustrated for all the people who filed before us who are also still waiting. It's so hard silently reading previous months' posts and seeing them go in order, and then November was a complete mess of a month in terms of them going in order. Sorry for this rant guys, but Im so emotional right now as I just had to tell our family and friends that the late August wedding we wanted to plan is not going to happen.

I front loaded my I-126F with a copy of my I-134 (so figure that was back in November 2017). My information hasn't changed any... I'm hoping I don't need to fill out a new copy, physically sign it, and mail it to my fiance to take with her to the interview. The original extra copy I gave her should be sufficient, yeah?

I am planning on sending updated "statement of intent to marry" for both of us, mine with a wet signature, and her's blank to sign.

Also sending, last years tax transcript and my W2, and an employment verification letter (dated this May). I have been with the same company almost 6 years and have a good income that shouldn't cause any concerns. I've heard in Kyiv they often don't even ask for this stuff anyway, so not too concerned.

Also planning to send to my fiancee updated chat logs since we filed, and then of course she will have copies of everything she needs based on the Ukraine checklist from Packet 3.

Totally starting to get excited now that the long wait is over! Just a tiny wait now, and we can get to work scheduling stuff!

SvetikP got a reaction from JustNathan in Belarus fiancee | Post-NOA2 for Warsaw, Poland interview
Hi, I am from Belarus. Though, I have not had recently an interview, but I am going to do this soon and I have some information about this process.
    1. Case number from NVC is needed for medical examination along with address in US, where she is going to live. Your fiancee will need to know them.
    2. Police certificate can be obtained without case number. It is valid 1 year.
So she can obtain it in advance.
    3. To get results of medical examination it can take 7-14 days, especially in Summer. Medical costs $190 - adult, $140 - child under 14 years.
    Police certificate: costs 12,25 bel.rubles- within 7-15 days, or 24,5 bel.rubles - within 3 days.
    4. The birth certificate needs to be just translated.
    5. USC does not need to feel out something. Just use your passport to enter the US embassy. Though, it doesnt guarantee that you will be allowed to attend the interview with your fiancee when she will be asked. It depends on person who will interview her.

Hello, I've reviewed many threads here, but still have some questions.

    My fiancee is from Belarus.
Maybe somebody from Belarus who recently had an interview in Warsaw, Poland could help me out.

As I understood, the medical exam can be done only after receiving the case number from NVC, but no need to wait for the documents to reach the embassy/consulate.
Do you know whether it is allowed to do the medical before we even get the case number? When did you obtain the police certificate? Right after receiving the case number from NVC, too? Do you remember how much time it took for the medical exam and police certificate and how much did you pay? Does my fiancee's birth certificate needs to be translated and notarized or just translated? Do I, U.S. citizen (USC), need to do anything special to be allowed at my fiancee's interview? Do I just come to the interview with my passport and will be allowed in? No need for me to fill out DS-160?
    Thank you in advance!
  18. Thanks

    Hi:

Just as a reminder.  Do not do the same mistake that others have done. The moment you enter the US, go online and get you I-94 and print it out. If possible go before you get married and apply for your Social Security number. As all of us that live currently in the US know very well that basically nothing can be done w/o a social security number.  I dragged my wife outta bed the next morning with printed I-94 and necessary paperwork to file for social security and later that same day we got our marriage license, officiant to sign our license and marriage certificate, all in less than 10 hours. Currently times for AOS are extremely long. Do yourself a favor and file as soon as you can. Wedding ceremonies and else can be done later.

Thanks and good luck to ya'll

We were approved on June 7. I reached out to my congresswoman on June 1 (Friday) and she followed up with USCIS on June 4 (first thing Monday morning) and an employee of her office actually called and left me a voicemail to tell me I was approved. USCIS also updated her office. Try the congressional step. The old website and app have not updated at all. The new website updated 2 days late. The letter arrived today (June 9).

Thank you for the insight, I am very glad to hear they are joining the electronic world!  I wanted to clarify, though.  I am not at all attacking individuals, or even departments of petition adjudicators, or even USCIS. I currently work in a confidential records department that is understaffed by 50%. I understand burn-out, deadlines, and absolutely impossible amounts of work and the pressure to get it done within time constraints. I've also seen first-hand refugees of war waiting over two years to hear back about their own visa petitions.

I was referring to the lack of support our government lends as a whole to this process. It is such a hot button topic in this political climate, and it deserves more resources and staff than it currently has. Regardless of party affiliation, we should ALL want this process to work better and more efficiently for everyone who is impacted.

...also, you will never hear me respond with 'it is what it is' in regards to our government... 'it is' what we make it. We should never forget that.

I'm stepping off my soapbox now...
