How to Travel with two Passports the Right Way

Sometimes you may hear the statement “don’t travel with two passports,” but here again, people making such statements, probably don’t have two passports.

Those who do, travel with both their passports all the time. Believe me!

Let’s say you are a national of both the US and Italy. However, you failed to take your Italian passport with you. This means that you would be considered a foreigner in your own country, having to apply for a visa if you wanted to stay there for an extended period of time.

Now, don’t be confused though, you are not two people, but one person with a dual citizenship.

To make you understand this better, let’s say, you have a driver’s license, but you forgot it at home and a cop pulled you over.

While you have a license (at home), at the time you are pulled over, you are a person without a driver’s license, until you can prove otherwise.

It’s the same thing with a passport.

You just reminded me, and I trawled my internet history and realised I have looked up this website before https://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk/ How does that compare with Parcel Hero?

I have a large mirror I really want to send. Is that ridiculous?? Haha

I'm not sure, I'll have a look when I next send something over. I'd imagine the mirror will be pricey, I have a big canvas I'd like to send but haven't yet because it is expensive.

Hey everyone, here's to a new week and further hope for January NOA2s coming through.

I have a question for the group!

Anyone started shipping things over yet? Taking things over each time they travel? I've managed to mule a fair bit, but I still have heavy, outsized and fragile items left.

I have a shipping contact that will probably be able to take all of my items, however in case it doesn't work out, if anyone has considered or has a shipment recommendation I would be interested!

I also need to buy boxes for packing, anyone have any tips for good or cheap boxes? I'm going to start with winter clothes and things like books / vases / kitchen items :)

It's exciting to do something proactive towards the move while we wait.

I have been using parcel hero as a comparison for sending boxes over, prices are usually fairly good but if anyone has any other recommendations that'd be good.

  4. I'm actually glad we have a safe space like this to moan and complain about our journey. As others have said, no one fully appreciates what it is like unless they have been through it themselves and the constant questions about if we have heard anything are hard when we don't have a positive answer. Complaining about the situation won't get us any further forward but it's good to have the support of others in the same position.

I have found it really hard this week. Like everyone else we have good days and bad. I am desperate for January NOA2's to start coming through but then know that it still isn't our month.

We will all get there in the end and we are most of the way through the wait. Looking back it has gone quite quickly but looking forward it can't come soon enough.

sorry other link was bad... try this one

That's what I use. I have everything printed off so I can tick things off as I get them.

For vaccination record, I know it probably varies but I just had to ask at reception at the doctors and they printed it off while I waited.
