    No, your current employer can't ask for new green card. In case of new job or travelling or driving license expiry, the only option is to get an ADIT I551 Stamp from USCIS by appointment. Most of the time stamp 8s good for 6 months, and you can get as many as you need as long as as of current you can show the need. Before covid there was no need to show the necessity of stamp to get one.

    No.  The USCIS page for I-90 has a note that says: "DO NOT submit this form if you are a conditional resident seeking to remove conditions on your Green Card."

    i-751 Removal of Condition with Minor
    10/07/2020 --> Filed Date
    10/21/2020 --> Notice Date
    10/26/2020 --> Received in mail via USPS. 
    ....
    Both receipts start with MSC****
    Online Status Does NOT show up.

    Thanks for all the quick replies. Our initial thought that it was a scammer, however the caller ID was that from the embassy. It was the main number from the embassy. It is India and all most neighbors know about each other especially life events. The questions were more verification questions from the DS260. Nothing major. 
     
    I told my spouse just to be honest and forward during the interview. She is shaken by the event, and this just added to already nervous spouse.😊
     
    It does appear that the phone call was out of the norm, which has me a bit worried, but our file is pretty stright forward.

    Also make sure you pick the place you want your passport "picked up" or delivered. As for the profile information assure it matches your passport.
