If you do not attend the interview together and convince the adjudicator you currently have a bona fide ongoing relationship, the adjustment of status will be denied and both your wife and her daughter will be out of status and subject to deportation. A K1 visa holder can only adjust status through marriage to the original petitioner and the K2 child's status depends on their parent's status.
If you believe your wife entered the relationship and marriage in good faith, are willing to assume the sponsorship obligations and go through with the adjustment of status, you are free to do so but I advise you against lying to any immigration official. People have fights and problems (life happens) and often speak of splitting up then change their minds. Fortunately, people in this process have adult decision making power and the associated responsibilities.

Steven, honestly I believe when there is major differences in age, attractiveness and income will open the door to being scammed. As ways to prevent these things from happening, a person has to rely on GUT INSTINCT........ If they think they are being scammed then they probably are!!!
Get to know your SO family and friends.... Take your time !!!! Let the relationship grow before making any commitment to marriage.. These are just a few things that might help prevent it.... I'll let others chime in on their ways to preventing these things from happening....
Been a long day! Gotta crash!!

WIFE FROM HELL A police officer pulls over a speeding car. The officer says,' I clocked you at 80 miles per hour, sir.'

The driver says, 'Gee, officer, I had it on cruise control at 60; perhaps your radar gun needs calibrating. '

Not looking up from her knitting the wife says:'Now don't be silly, dear -- you know that this car doesn't have cruise control.'

As the officer writes out the ticket, the driver looks over at his wife and growls,

'Can't you please keep your mouth shut for once !! ?'

The wife smiles demurely and says, 'Well dear you should be thankful your radar detector went off when it did or your speed would have been higher.'

As the officer makes out the second ticket for the illegal radar detector unit, the man glowers at his wife and says through clenched teeth,

'Woman, can't you keep your mouth shut?'

The officer frowns and says, 'And I notice that you're not wearing your seat belt, sir.

    That's an automatic $75 fine.'

The driver says, 'Yeah, well, you see, officer, I had it on, but I took it off when you pulled me over so that I could get my license out of my back pocket.'

The wife says, 'Now, dear, you know very well that you didn't have your seat belt on. You never wear your seat belt when you're driving.'

And as the police officer is writing out the third ticket, the driver turns to his wife and barks, 'W ILL YOU PLEASE SHUT UP??'

The officer looks over at the woman and asks,'Does your husband always talk to you this way, Ma'am?'

(I love this part) 'Only when he's been drinking.!!

This is incorrect. You may go to the US on a tourist visa and marry, then return to the UK. That is not an issue. The only time immigration fraud may be suspected is if you travel to the US on a tourist visa, with intent on immigrating. That's the fraud.
Also, the Cr-1 is not for people who marry outside of the US. It is for people who are married, regardless of where the wedding takes place.
You need to read the guides here and figure out which visa is best. His depolyments may qualify you for a military expedite so certainly look into that as well.

Not trying to rub salt in your wounds, but what were you thinking? You allowed your fiancee get to the airport without her CFO? This is the exact reason I tell everyone to read the guides and the Philippine Forum.
Have her attend her CFO counseling and get her stamp and then she can leave the P.I. CFO can be a pain in the AZZ, but it protects the ladies from getting into a bad situation here in the states. I would rather have these ladies attend the seminar than hear stories of abuse and neglect that happen to some of them once they get here into the states....
Hope all goes well with her getting the stamp! Good luck to you both!

From what I understand. The CR means Conditional Resident and the I-89 is a form that USCIS uses to request the manufacture of the GreenCard.

Congrats. to you both. I remember my first trip there. It was really exciting for Ruchie and I! Have your BF bring a good magazine or book to read on his long flight. It can get quite boring on those long flights. Have a great time together and remember to take photos and to save receipts and boarding passes for your evidences later in the process.
