Katilya reacted to SusieQQQ in UGH... US Tourist Visas Denied ... Europe instead?!
You are correct that they will not get transit visas if they have been refused B visas (they are pretty much the same thing for the US as US airports don’t have separated pre-immigration transit only areas).

Mexican citizens do not require schengen visas to visit Europe. As with any traveler I would suggest they take evidence of their return ticket and they will obviously have evidence of accommodation booked, etc. Also make sure they have travel insurance and can show evidence of that if requested, I don’t see why they would be denied entry. To state the obvious, the problem of illegal immigration/overstays to the US from Mexico far exceeds that of Europe, as is indicated by the simple fact that Mexican citizens don’t need visas for schengen Europe.

    Hello All,
I have received an email for notice of immigration case creation asking me to pay the fees and submit documents (F4 - Family Sponsorhip). How long do I have to respond or pay the fees and submit the documents? Is it a year? They emailed me back in December of 2018. Please advise, thank you.

Our case just got to NVC. We wish to change the embassy. The file has not been transmitted to the original embassy yet, the case was created a week ago. Any idea how long it would delay our process if we requested NVC change our embassy to a different one ?

Hello!  Paperwork with all has been submitted to begin the process.  Question:  Does any one know how the processing center is chosen to do the paperwork is selected:  California, Texas , or Vermont.  I submitted the paperwork to the Dallas, TX Lockbox.  I am based in Chicagoland and my fiance is in Santiago, Chile.  Just trying to figure out if it will be processed in TX, CA, or VT.  Thanks!

    hi

    you don't need all that,

first of all, never send a copy of your social security card to anyone. what you need is your marriage certificate

you need, proof of citizenship and copy of marriage certificate to prove that you are married to stepchild's dad, and a copy of the child's birth certificate and if it's not in English, attach a translation into English of said copy. so that your husband can prove that he's the child's father

the only proof of name change that you need is your marriage certificate

the i130 is to prove and establish relationship between the petitioner and the beneficiary. you have to prove that you are married to the child's father, and that indeed he is the child's father.

marriage certificate is proof enough of your last name change

    Cheers all!
as my username suggests, I already have a GC, which was issued in Mar 2019..
However (and this is where the “strange” begins), I’ve just received two I-797s, one to let me know that “due to unforseen situations” my interview for I-465 was cancelled, and the second one to let me know that an interview for I-465 sometime in Aug.
So, I’m here to kindly ask for your advice here as which path to take in order to solve this obvious system screwup.
The way I thought about it was I’ve like 3 ways to go here:
    1. Snail mail addressed to NBC/Lee’s Summit
    2. Em via myUSCIS account
    3.call the 800#
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers and good luck to all🙏

Katilya reacted to LC & MS in Why Nebraska Service center is so slow? I have been waiting for 256 days.
Hello, everyone, nice to meet you here because we have the same feeling and share the same frustrated and complicated CR1 journey.
My case was received on 22, June, 2018 and is in Nebraska service center. I have been waiting for 256 days now.
When my approval can finally come?
My husband bought the airplane tickets and will fly here to celebrate our 1 year anniversary together.
I really hope we can get approval soon before his coming and this will be the best gift for our anniversary.
