  1. Quick update - just got back from our interview. Approved on the spot. Interview was 15/20 minutes long. Mostly consisted of fact checking (if I knew her birthday, birth place, and parents names, and vice versa), updating my employment info, asking how we met and when we married, and going through bona fide marriage evidence (we didn't have much evidence, but what we had was sufficient enough as a young married couple). Asked the typical yes/no questions from the forms, took my medical form and that was it. Got back to the car and got an email and text about my case being updated - card is being produced!

Glad to be done with the process for the next almost 2 years!

So my case tracker just went off again with an update that my case is ready for my green card interview. I'm so suprised, I honestly didn't expect to hear anything regarding my green card until the end of the year as the San Antonio office was really behind. Is it a good sign that I'm having my green card letter before even having an update on my EAD/AP?

Edit: I'm so nervous, I haven't mentally prepared for an interview lol any advise? Will the letter list what additional things I need to bring? Omg I'm excited but nervous 😂

Did it update with 'case ready for interview' or 'we have scheduled your interview'? Both are very different updates. First one means you're just in line and can be waiting a while still. The second one; if it's that, congrats!

I am just a bit curious that, I see people come here with tourist visa and get married and get their GC. But most people here first applied K visa which takes almost a year and spent almost 1k dollars. It seems no point to apply for a K1 visa because you can use a tourist visa to get the GC quicker and cheaper.

What do you guys think ?

Coming with the intention to AOS of tourist visa etc is visa fraud. Comes with a long ban from the USA if you get found out.

Yes! I'm glad for you. Today mine updated again to say that the card had actually been mailed.

We have had to update our address twice already, so I will be watching very closely. There have been too many stories on here about address changes not working.

Same thing for me today too! Updated with the card was mailed to you! We are both in the Midwest and it comes from Missouri so we should get it pretty quick. I'm actually in Missouri so hoping mine is in hand by the weekend! We shall see! Good luck with the rest of the journey

    Hello, my fellow April filers!

I just received an update on my case, Case is ready to be scheduled for an Interview. I filed my AOS last March 30st and received my NOA1 on April 9th. My case was in "Fingerprint Fee was Received" since April 9th before I received the notification today. It says my case was updated since July 16th but I received the notification this morning July 19th. No update on my EAD or AP. I sent out a case inquiry online last week on this link https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do and chose the case outside normal processing time for my AOS and EAD. I haven't received any email response from USCIS for my inquiry and I don't know if that was the reason for an update on my case though. Hope this helps others too.

You won't get the response you want. Your case IS NOT outside of normal processing times for EAD/AP. You haven't submitted the right request. They're currently at 4-6 months processing times, so you're not outside of normal processing times until around October time.

Congrats!! Good luck with the hunt!

This morning the AP was also updated to approved! At least I was only anxious for one day, haha. We should both get the combo cards, I would think.

No, I  did not request an expedite, so just a few days more than 4 months from NOA1 for me.

My AP was also updated to approved this morning, one day after EAD card in production! Awesome news for us! Any other news yet? I imagine we will both have it by end of next week!

Thanks! Should hopefully find something by August. I imagine (and hope), it will be the combo card for me too. Maybe mine will update tomorrow; we will just wait and see! We plan to visit my family for Christmas if so! :)

Congrats on the APs an EADs. Did you get the update from https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus or on https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ ?. I'm on day 139 now :(

DHS site! My egov one has never updated after the one update saying they received my reply to RFIE.

Finally got an email that action has been taken! USCIS account shows I-765 EAD card is being produced! That is wonderful news. However the AP I-131 still has not changed. That is really the one we have been anticipating.

Those of you that have yours already, did you get the combo card? Did both sections update in your tracker?

Did you expedite? Hopefully this means March filers are getting EAD's soon if not!

I don't think they update the AP one but usually you'll get a combo card anyway.
