Hopefully, something does happen today for me. I seriously can't believe it has taken almost 7 months already. 

I think they will start November 8th today, with the notification you got I htink chances are high something happened for you. Now if the old or new website will update, who knows... but I'd check your mail for the next week!
I saw 2 RFEs on the 1st. Didn't check other dates yet.

No news so far. I got a notification from the app saying case update and when I checked it just said the case was received. I then checked both old and new website,  and no update yet. But again we still have rest of the day left. Nov 8th old website and Nov 10th new website. All the best to everyone.

Nov 8th old website and Nov 10th new website filer here. I hope tomorrow I will hear something. I think they did some Nov 7th approvals and did 1 RFE for Nov 8th. I hope to hear something tomorrow or sometime next week. I can't take this anymore.

I don't think the complexity of the case matters unless an rfe is given the waiting time is unpredictable. I am seeing individuals with simple cases with longer waiting times than those with red flags or backgrounds. I think its dependent on the case worker imo

Congrats.. We're starting to melt.  Nov 10 old site/Nov 13 new site.... Still havent heard anything.. So sad

We got an email and text message at 3:40 AM that said they took action our case. I logged in and found out we were approved!!! It's such an amazing feeling after waiting 198 days.  Our NOA1 (old website) was Nov. 2nd. (No updates on the old website). I'm just posting it now cause I was waiting for my fiance to get home so to tell him. He's started crying tears of joy!!! It's about time!!!!! 
I've been following the visa journey threads daily since USCIS was working on May filers and as I constantly stalked the threads I learned how the system worked. It was sooooo disappointing when they finally got to November and things just went differently for us. But over the past couple weeks as we were waiting, we learned a lot. USCIS has slowly stopped using the old website and are focusing on the new. So the scans that we so highly rely on everyday (And thanks to @x_driven_x for taking the time to do them) are starting to become irrelevant. I'm sure there are waaay more approvals than we know but we're just not seeing them. We'll start to understand how the new site works in time but it'll probably be more beneficial to future months. Anyway, what I'm trying to say to everyone is be patient and hopeful. You're approval is coming!!

38 updates in today's scan, 2 are from late yesterday after my scan. They apparently did start on the 7th now.
Hang in there, strange month. Pretty convinced my date (14th) will be the last one to get it's 1st approval given current trends.

Would really love to see more movement at the beginning of November. Thrilled for those approved... But ready for ours also. 

So i just called USCIS and spoke to a Tier 2 officer as im extremely frustrated... very interesting phone call basically to cut it short and simple i spoke to her about their website stating that they process cases in order received.. Which she replied thats correct.  I then replied well if that is the case please explain to me how people at the end of November are being approved before the beginning and how 2 cases before and after our case have been approved.
 
She then said how do you know this information. I told her that we are on a forum and on Facebook and people post their WAC numbers and there is an app that scans for WAC numbers and that it lists them with approvals and dates of approvals.  So then she started typing and seemed very shocked that we was aware of this happening and did not really have much to say... Think we caught them out at their little game  

Watching this month, the only thing I'm becoming convinced of is that I will hit 200 days, that will become the norm and the processing times will go from 5-7 months to 6-8 months.

november is a weird month

I seem to remember that June 6th was also skipped for a while, too, and I always worried that it would happen to November (because that's my NOA2 date). But when the other months went normal, I told myself it was silly.
 
Turns out that's what they did.

The scans will be a bit late tonight, but I'll get them at some point. Around 11:00pm CST if I had to guess; sorry running late now and I have to be somewhere.
