I got the same email, i do not know why. Mine said June 1st but i never send any inquiry or did anything in June. I am also thinking that maybe our application was sent out for the background check thing.. it's just a guess.. i'm not really sure because i had never gotten any email before.

there as a Dec 20th app approved today...... We are on the horizon my fellow Janubees

My electronic and paper copy of NOA1 have different dates, so I haven't been totally sure which one to base it off of - BUT I've been mostly following the app. According to the app, today marks 170 days! It's bittersweet because it feels like a small victory making it this far but of the course the wait has been tiring.
 
We have a visit in ONE WEEK. Luckily, it's quite a long visit so we have our fingers crossed we'll receive NOA2 while we're together!

With all do respect @x_driven_x I think you really need to cut down your negativity on some of the January filers.  As the old saying goes “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all.”  
 
Everyone handles situations differently, and if this forum gives them positive vibes by reaching out or writing what they feel to others who are on the same boat, I say let them.
 
If you think you’re just being honest, keep it to yourself.  That is all.  

OK, fellow Januarians.  I have captured summary scan data and have made available at http://harveysollano.com 
This is only I-129F data. Out of the ~30,000 receipt numbers used in December, only ~3,200 are I-129F applications.
I don't have the NOA1 receipt data prior to December 2017.  I'm in the process of capturing February 2018.
I believe the data for December and January is fairly accurate info as provided by the old USCIS website. 
I plan on updating December data each night and will start updating January as we get closer.
Hope this proves helpful or provides insight how many applications are being processed.

This so right. 4 more weeks to go and hopefully it will be our time of approval.

I do understand what you mean. And believe me there were even people who yelled at me, took their frustration out of me because their case hasn't been touch...which is funny cause their case were actually outliers taking way too many months. 
 
However, there is a big misunderstanding.
Timelines has never been updated, scans has never worked fully, and silent noa2s are happening for over a year. Just from what I gathered I know February, March, April (the list goes on) still has a good 1000-2000 cases looks virgin. 
 
Scans started only on October when May cases started, and since then I started doing whatever means we have (which by the way the person who just guessed was around since about that time, because he was in contact with me to start November since 8 months ago and continuously followed how months flow). I guessed July would start on December before Christmas, and then USCIS apparently decided June was going to take 2 months. and it didn't start. that's it.
 
On another note, in the technical sense of things, guesses has nothing to do with the amount of approvals we see but all about dates as I said before. It is all about which dates has been touched, now that we saw a good amount of November 30, a good guess would be for December to start next week even after November being a weird month. And The best estimate for January would be 5 weeks from that (which in itself a negative estimate by the way). 
 
Any estimation made here does not talk about when someone will get adjudicated but when a new month may start. People cannot put disclaimer in every single guess they do. 
 
I want to believe people here are adult enough to decide to get married and go over a big process like this, is also adult enough to make a decision on understanding what a guess is. We are continuously reminding people not to even take vj estimations into accounts as there are outliers everywhere, but apart from that it depends on their ability to decide. 
 
But apart from this, as this being a public forum anyone can guess anything, anyone can say no to it. 
 

I was doing fine with the time it was taking by distracting myself with things, exams etc.
 
Then my fiance got into a car accident yesterday. He's fine but those few words nearly drove me to a panic attack.

Yeh that's why we went with k1. When i explained to my parents it was taking longer than anticipated (since applying in Jan meant pretty much estimating off 2016 info) they asked if we could just get married first. Nooooo! That visa takes longer, we'd have to start all over again, & likely I'd have to go live in England if we wanted to be together in less than 1 1/2 years! 
 
Just frustrating as appaprently the Electronic System for Travel Authorization can check multiple databases in 20 min "the ESTA quickly checks all of the various databases available about you, for example Interpol, US government state and federal agencies, and certainly other databases that are undisclosed to the public". 

Oh  From July 14 to July 19. This really hurts....

I guess I don't understand why USCIS takes so long as this is essentially just making sure applicants have submitted all the proper paperwork. They have a list of what they require/accept & either it is or isn't that. NVC does the background check which seems more important & they move quickly. Also I think having an ESTA clearance should expedite things but I know it's too much to ask two different government departments to share data & communicate like that. 

After a long weekend let's get this show on the road USCIS!

Yes! I know people are trying to be practical with all the stats on processing times but I say don't just be positive - envision the outcome you want! Processing times used to be much faster & I know a lot has come along to change that, but they can still be faster than 2017s. Plus the data stats are based on is both incomplete & sometimes incorrect.
   We still have a contingency plan but just like it doesn't tend to rain if I am prepared with my umbrella, fingers crossed we won't need our backup plan. Good luck & continue to envision quicker processing times!  

I just took my fiance to the airport. He's leaving back to the US today. We have been moving some of my stuff there. I left my jackets and winter wear and my boots at his house on my last visit to the US and he's taking my books with him. He's moving to a new place soon before I move in with him. So taking logistical matters into account is very reasonable right now instead of worrying when we will get our NOA2. I'm also moving with my two cats so making sure we have enough cat food and fresh litter sand should be part of our moving plan too, not to mention working with a pet mover here. I have moved some of my money to his bank account and will transfer more before I move there and create my own bank account.
 
We won't see each other again until my interview. That's a good break before we're stuck together and get bored with each other in an institution called marriage haha😁

I think we will start seeing our first January stragglers approved mid to late  June. I know that seems crazy since they have not touched December but my estimate date is July 4th and I see other timelines approved 2 weeks earlier than their estimate for November. Then again November has been a bizaare month. 

No doubt. My daughter went into the passport office to get her very first "adult" passport on May 4 and on May 11 she received via courier. I was amazed!

Lol!  You be apprehensive & nervous if you like but I will maintain positive thinking!  You can only reap what you sow, including the energy you put out into the universe.  Perhaps earlier Nov dates just happened to not be in the last 15.  Perhaps many of them are not updating. I'm sure they are still looking at some earlier November files but the fact that mid to late Nov filers have even gotten an NOA2 is a positive sign.
