Where did your husband do his medicals? Rio, SP, Brasilia or BH?

He was able to do his medical in Brasilia which was a place listed on the embassy website.

on the 221 G he got they said Possible medical. We were waiting on them to tell us if it was a go or not for the new medical. If I wouldn’t have emailed them we would still be waiting

    this is crazy

  2. So update I emailed embassy and they replied:

    Dear Sir/Madam

The case is pending the new medical exam.

    Regards,

    Immigrant Visa Unit

    Consular Communications and Outreach

    United States Consulate General

    Rio de Janeiro - Brazil

    MCP

so I’m assuming they want a brand new medical? .... I had to email them to get this information from them .. why couldn’t they just alert us when they wanted this information... 🤦🏾‍♀️

Hello all I did this last year for my husband. I sent in his passport along with paper tax forms and the W7 form, it took about 2 months. It was done during the uscis process. Our country does not certify the passport and the us embassy said it did not do it as well. Our only option was to send the original. I didnt send in a self addressed envelope but thankfully the passport came back in one peace.  We got the itin number back before the passport

    I need to do this

It's been 1 month and 3 days since our case was set to case complete. This wait is killing me.

How long ago was your interview? Were you approved at the interview? Sorry for all the questions, we foresee being denied at our interview since my husband lived illegally in the US for 8 years, then we'll have to file for a waiver of inadmissibility, wait until that is approved which takes about 12-16 months, then have a second consular interview. It's a long path.

Our interview was dec 7!🤦🏾‍♀️ We are still in administrative processing we were not approved .. in fact we are thinking we might get a waiver too for a problem in Ireland but not sure ... the lady told him she is gonna investigate the situation .. so yeah so constantly waiting they also contacted me last week for proof of relationship

Hi, last time they checked the case was dec 28th, probably because I sent the emabssy an email. Prior to that dec 18th. I haven't been reading up on this site recently so I dont know if anyone else mentioned a slow down in processing at the embassies.

Wow that’s crazy! This is all so stressful and along with everything else I’m at a lost. They updated my case 3 days last week with the final time an email coming direct from the officer looking at the case. I have no idea what’s taking so long. My husband and I are dying for a response soon.

Oh wow you are still waiting as well. So are we. We were approved on dec 3rd and heard nothing for 2 weeks. Then sent an email to the emabssy they changed the status of our civil docs on ceac to marriage certificate and birth certificate submitted at interview different from the one we brought to the interview. We got extra copies from the registrar that had different barcodes only difference. We uploaded the correct ones on dec 19th still waiting. The embassy never told us they needed those new docs the status just showed those documents were rejected in ceac. We've sent about 2 emails since then no response. Not sure what more to do but wait at this point

Wow how stressful!!! When did they last look at or update your case?

Update, I'm a few weeks behind...... Holidays!

Interviewed on Nov 29th, was told everything is good, asked for CV / resume, kept passport

    Email submitted Nov 29th

They sent us an email for a physical copy of CV on Nov 30th.

    Submitted Dec 3rd

They received CV on Dec 4th.

    Dec 7th, 14th,18th, 19th, 20th case was touched.

Dec 20th Passport sent back to the Pony Express .

Dec 21st ready for Pick up.

Dec 23rd pick up passport with no visa.  Was given the following document with passport.

    48414210_10155807016083414_4767203816393

Husband was freaking out thinking that we failed our interview.... I think he misread the 1st and last 2 sentences....... The Russian embassy is currently closed since Christmas or so till January 9th..... So that is like 2 weeks of holidays.
I had to call him to calm him down, he was drunk and extremely depressed. He was hoping there would have been a visa so that he could surprise me for New Years. For Tax reasons we were going to wait till after the New Year so I could claim him on 2018 and addmend 2017 taxes.

How do you claim him on taxes?

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all get your interview date soon! 🎄🥂🍾

My hubby had another round of interview with the border control officer when he arrived in Houston. He was asked the following questions.

    1. Is your wife rich?

    2. Hawaii is expensive to live. How do you plan to make a living?

    3. What does your wife do for a living?

Then the officer stamped hubby’s passport CR1.

After some ups and downs, hubby is finally here. Everything will be worth it, hang in there.

Blessings and amen! Prayers and patience do work.. which one you need the most varies day to day lol!

i am so very happy for you my dear!

    MERRY CHRISTMAS

    Hello all,

My husband had his CR1 interview on December 3rd. No Visa issued as yet. I was checking the ceac status update and it remained  “Ready” status since the interview. I decided to log in to view the ceac account and realized the Civil documents showed invalid status (it was previously accepted). It shows our marriage certificate and his birth certificate were rejected after interview. The notes now say “Documents presented at interview is different copy than the one uploaded. Uploading new marriage/birth certificate” (I believe this is the case because we had two copies issued from the registrar one he kept and the one I kept apparently has different bar code numbers, the one I uploaded is a different bar code number to the one he took to the interview)   The embassy has not told us anything, we just happened to see this. I am not sure if it means we have to upload the document or if the embassy is doing it because the wording is “Uploading” as if they will be doing it. Does anyone know if I am supposed to do it or If they do it?

I hope this gets sorted fast for you! I know my dear husband at least won’t be here for Christmas. They put him in administrative processing

Trying to stay positive for an interview date in December (CC 10/10 - Montreal), but the way things are going here, I'm looking at January. Last Friday (11/09) they were scheduling CC's up until mid September (from what I could tell on another thread), and they were getting interview dates around mid December.  I am lucky enough to be a 4 hour drive from my hubby who lives in the US (I'm north of Toronto), so we see each other every weekend. I don't know how those of you who haven't seen your significant other in months/years are doing it.  Stay strong and it will happen soon.

Praying for all of us to get good news sooner than later.

Thank you for your words! Yes that’s amazing that you are so close which makes everything so much easier too

yes i am praying sister that we end this journey soon in Jesus name Amen

its been one year since I’ve seen the love of my life
