Yeah, far too often people have the wrong attitude about an RFE. 9 times out of 10 it's something super easy, in some cases it's even asking for something you already sent! Just give them what they want and it's all good. The extra time sucks, but you've waited this long. No stress, no worries!

Only filed a i130 & K1. This is the 2nd k1. Should I need a waiver then I’m already prepared. It was my understanding that I did not need one since I was past the two year mark. I’ll look into that again. Thanks
Ahh, ok, yeah I think you're ok then. Might be a grey area though. Good you're prepared just in case. I'm in somewhat of the same situation. Best of luck to you!

This is my third filing - did not need a waiver - yet. Already know and am ready to be scrutinized. I/We have nothing to hide. Hoping that we get some news soon.
You should have filed a multiple filer waiver with your petition. It's needed for anyone submitting their 2nd within the last 2 years or if you've ever submitted more than 2.

For anyone curious or in similar circumstances. I required a waiver to file for Grace's visa. I'm a multiple visa filer. This was my 4th petition approved. Various circumstances impacted that history, of course, and I never anticipated I'd take the plunge again. Grace made me rethink that. We had no RFE, no issues. My visa packet was very lean, including all the required documents but nothing extra. Well, I did attach a 2 page waiver request. That was a requirement previously, before the form was updated.
So, lean petition package, waiver required, past fiance processing, and no problems. YYMV of course, but it was my 4th very straightforward process.
I used visajourney for the 3rd and 4th filing, but didn't find it prior to mailing my first 2 petitions. Definitely helpful, but also generally a DIY process.
Best of luck to everyone else in your journey.
This brings me some relief. I'm a November filer, and this is 3rd and last petition! Relationship ended after NOA2 on the first (no interview scheduled, no visa issued), second resulted in my 4 year marriage to my now ex-wife. I have been told my circumstances shouldn't be too much of a problem but still the closer we get to our time I am getting very nervous and will feel sooooo guilty if there are issues because of my past. Thank you for this post and good luck with the rest of your journey!!

Anytime your file is touched there is a notification created on your record hence you are able to see it if using the app.
Well, I could be wrong here but you get a notification if there is an update to the "online" case. It just seems like they added some code to add "Alien" into all the digital files, which updated things on the online case status. Hence, the notifications. That just makes a lot more sense than someone physically handling a file in a way that shows nothing more than a single word added to the online case status. Don't get me wrong, I would love to think our is closer to someone working on it, but I don't think that's what happening with all these.

Ours changed too. Probably just system updates, doesn't mean that anyone is physically doing anything the petitions though.

Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone can answer my questions...
I filed K1 Visa and received my NOA1 8/29/2017, my fiance is from Lebanon in the Middle East (anyone else file from Lebanon?)
I was curious as to if he is able to come visit on a tourist visa while we wait to hear what the news on his papers. Also, if my fiance comes to USA in April/May... (with hopes his papers got approved and such) can he return back to Lebanon in June if my family and I decide to go? Or will he not be allowed to enter USA again if he already entered on K1?
Also, SO SO annoyed with USCIS, was hoping to know what was going on with his papers by now. Do you guys think being that he is from a country in the Middle East it was take longer to approve his papers?
Thank you and wishing a swift process to all August filers!
Tourist visas can be tricky to get depending on many factors, including location. And there are always "issues" with people coming from the Middle East, especially under the current administration.
Once your SO is here they can return to Lebanon if they apply for Advance Parole, which gives a non-citizen the right to leave and re-enter the US before their green card is in hand. I believe you must be married already and have applied for the green card in order to be eligible for AP.

Congrats! I guess I should have mailed in ours a day earlier! lol

Hello all, just a quick question. We just got our NOA1, which is great! I had to file a waiver as a multiple filer with the petition. Does the NOA1 mean the waiver was granted or is that something not considered until someone actually starts looking at the petition?? I would kinda hope that they wouldn't cash my check without granting me a waiver, but who knows with the government! Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks!!
NAME CHANGE ON PHILIPPINE PASSPORT

There is plenty of information on the Embassy website. My understanding is it is a fairly easy process to change the passport as long as you have the proper paperwork. However, you will need to make a physical appearance in order to do so.
