  2. you don't seem to put very much value on human life. or understand the financial consequences of mass incarceration.

How much value of human life does a dealer have when he sells drugs that could kill 12 year old children ... His customers ... Or gets them hooked on a drug that leads to an overdose of heroin .. No compassion there I take it.

  3. so you don't have a problem with drug addicts getting high on your dime in jail? because that certainly happens more often your extremely antiquated (and mythical, d.a.r.e. failure numero uno) scenario of a creepy addict on the corner of the school yard luring children to try heroin out.

But they could get high and die in prison .. One less dealer we have to put up with ....

  4. FBI: Hillary Clinton Lost Cell Phones with Classified Emails

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lost several mobile telephones carrying e-mails from her private server during her time in office, according to newly-released FBI documents on the investigation into her mishandling of classified information.
“[Huma] Abedin and [former Clinton aide Monica] Hanley indicated the whereabouts of Clinton’s [mobile] devices would frequently become unknown once she transitioned to a new device,” one report indicates.

On other occasions, a staffer would destroy Clinton’s old mobile phones “by breaking them in half or hitting them with a hammer,” the FBI documents reveal.

Federal law prohibits the unauthorized transfer, storage, or destruction of classified information. Federal records acts likewise prohibit the destruction of government documents, which would have included work-related emails on Clinton’s server and mobile devices.

When old devices containing government documents are to be destroyed, there are precise procedures to be followed, especially if the devices are storing classified information that could endanger national security in the wrong hands.

  5. rap friends? please tell me what that has to do anything. are people only to pursue their artistic goals if they're of a musical style you prefer or rather, respect? come on.

that's mighty draconian of you..50 years in prison for going to gander mountain and the like and purchasing guns to sell to others isn't really what i think of when considering 'gun running'. like i said, small potatoes and the judge believed that he knew he'd made a mistake and also (from your own quote above) "Randa said he had seen plenty of people facing similar charges who bought firearms for friends and then took no responsibility for their actions. Mills, he said, has accepted responsibility."

Moving that amount of guns is not being a gun runner ...Right .

  6. this particular article doesn't support your position very well. small potatoes. in reading about this case i think the judge made a good call.

But Mills, Randa said, did not come across as a typical defendant because of his good behavior since the charges and his life ambitions, which include becoming a rap musician. While on bail, Mills twice traveled to Los Angeles to work on a film and to pursue his musical aspirations.

Randa said he had seen plenty of people facing similar charges who bought firearms for friends and then took no responsibility for their actions. Mills, he said, has accepted responsibility.

So who were his rap friends ?

He was a gun runner filled out false statements on a federal form ... any of the guns could have caused the death of a child .

buying firearms with fake identification and dealing them without a license, Then what is your definition of a gun runner ?... So saying after he got caught .. I did wrong please let me go .. He is good to move about the country.

He should be doing years in prison ...He lied what ......55 counts of buying firearms with fake identification and dealing them without a license... over 2 years ... He should be doing 50 years in prison at least... or more .

In giving probation with no jail time to a Milwaukee man charged with 55 counts of buying firearms with fake identification and dealing them without a license,

    http://archive.jsonline.com/news/crime/milwaukee-man-to-be-sentenced-on-gun-fraud-charge-b99560011z1-322283481.html:

This person should be serving 30 -40 years in prison .. not getting probation ... If someone is killed with that gun ....life in prison . Laws are on the books and judges are soft on crime ...

  8. you don't think this would be beneficial in figuring out just who to charge with the crime, lib?

It is worth noting that a similar system was in place in Maryland for five years but was abandoned after $15 million was spent and no crimes solved

every gun sold had to be test fired and an empty shell sent to the state for recording for ballistics ....After collecting all that information for 15 million Dollars ... not one crime was solved with it. Not going to do a thing.. I can make hundreds of rounds in my cellar in a very short period of time ... casting my own bullets .. So can a terrorist from the hood in Chicago ... Not will solve a thing.

  9. Aug. 2016: Chicago's Bloodiest Month in Two Decades

Chicago saw its bloodiest month in two decades this August, after police recorded a staggering 90 murders, 384 shootings and 472 total shooting victims.

So far this year, police in the Windy City have logged at least 468 murders and 2,848 shooting victims. This works out to nearly 12 shooting victims, on average, every single day and 59 murders every month.

Chicago is on pace for its highest overall murder count since at least 2008, when 513 were recorded in the entire year. Overall annual murders in Chicago hit a peak of 940 in 1992, according to police statistics, and last topped 600 in 2003.

Police have pointed the blame at gang members, many of whom have rap sheets and have committed repeat offenses using illegal guns.

Nearly 40 percent of suspects arrested for homicide in 2015 had prior arrests for gun crimes, according to a study by the University of Chicago cited by police.

Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said earlier last month that about 1,400 people -- many of them affiliated with gangs -- are driving 85 percent of the city's gun violence.

"The historical cycle of violence we have seen in some communities must come to an end," said CPD Superintendent Eddie Johnson. "Repeat gun offenders who drive the violence on our streets should not be there in the first place and it is time to changes the laws to ensure these violent offenders are held accountable for their crimes."

Here is their solution.....Illinois Rep: Put Serial Numbers on Bullets to Fight Chicago Gun Violence

According to Fox 32, Harper said, “We just want to know how the guns and the bullets are getting into the hands of our youth and causing senseless harm and murder on our streets.” Her measure would require a unique number on all bullet casings and the base of the bullet itself, so police could theoretically run numbers of recovered bullets/casings to figure out where the ammunition was sold. Officers would then go to the retailer to find out who purchased the ammunition

It is worth noting that a similar system was in place in Maryland for five years but was abandoned after $15 million was spent and no crimes solved

    http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/09/01/illinois-rep-pushes-serial-numbers-bullets-fight-chicago-gun-violence/

How about you keep these folks that terrorize Chicago with guns locked up in the first place rather than blaming legal gun owners...

  10. CAIR to Stand Trial for Massive Fraud

The Council on American Islamic Relations is now charged with fraud and cover up perpetrated against hundreds of victims.

The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) will stand trial on charges of fraud and cover up for alleged crimes perpetrated against hundreds of victims, according to a new ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.

The case against CAIR National was originally dismissed by a federal judge but unanimously overturned by the appellate court. Two cases are involved in the suit, which the appellate court consolidated into one, since both cases involve racketeering, a federal RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) crime.

The lawsuits claim that CAIR National was aware that Morris Days, the “Resident Attorney” and “Manager for Civil Rights” at the now defunct CAIR-Maryland/Virginia chapter in Herndon, Virginia, was in fact not an attorney and that he failed to provide legal services for clients who came to CAIR for legal representation.

Moreover, the suits claim, CAIR knew of this fraud and purposefully conspired with Days to keep the CAIR clients from discovering that their legal matters were being mishandled or not handled at all. In addition, the complaints allege that, according to CAIR’s own internal documents, there were hundreds of victims of the fraud scheme.

While the original federal judge in the case ruled that Days and CAIR’s Virginia chapter were liable for fraud, he concluded that CAIR National was not responsible for Days’ conduct. The appeals court, however, found that, upon a review of the evidence, there was a direct relationship between CAIR National and Days.

David Yerushalmi, senior counsel for the plaintiffs in the case and co-founder of the American Freedom Law Center, remarked, “CAIR engaged in a massive criminal fraud in which literally hundreds of CAIR clients have been victimized.

“In his ruling, Judge Friedman [the original judge] inexplicably ignored material facts that establish CAIR National’s liability and then engaged in a transparently disingenuous ‘weighing’ of the factual evidence he did address … We are thankful that the appeals court has rectified the trial court’s errors. Now, at long last, our clients will go before a jury and get their day in court.”

  11. FBI found extensive evidence Hillary emails violated federal records laws

Though it was not their primary mission, FBI agents who investigated Hillary Clinton's email collected significant evidence suggesting she and her team violated federal record-keeping laws, including persisting to use a private Blackberry and server to conduct State Department business after being warned they posed legal and security risks, government sources tell Circa. The evidence was compelling enough to convince FBI Director James Comey that the Clinton team had not complied with record-keeping laws and to cause at least one witness to raise their Fifth Amendment

In public, the FBI recommended not filing criminal charges against Clinton on national security grounds. But in private, the Bureau chose to defer to the State Department on whether to recommend anyone to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution on records law violations, the sources said, speaking only on condition of anonymity.

Each email transmission of a government document that was not preserved or turned over to

his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States."

The FBI "indirectly documented hundreds, and likely thousands, of violations of the Records Act," one source with direct knowledge of the FBI's investigation told Circa. Using forensics, the FBI recovered from computer drives and other witnesses about 15,000 emails from Mrs. Clinton's private account that dealt with government business, most that had not been turned over by her or her aides, the sources said.

the State Department from Mrs. Clinton's tenure could theoretically be considered a violation of the Federal Records Act, the main law governing preservation of government records and data.

Other federal laws make it a felony to intentionally conceal, remove or destroy federal records as defined under the Act, punishable with a fine and imprisonment of up to three years. A single conviction also carries a devastating impact for anyone looking to work again in government because the law declares that any violator "shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States

  12. ZURICH (Reuters) - Friction between Switzerland and the European Union over the bloc's plans to tighten gun control following a rise in militant attacks could turn into another serious snag in ties already tested by Swiss efforts to curb immigration.

The proposed directive, which applies to non-EU member Switzerland only because it is part of Europe's Schengen open border system, has raised hackles among the Swiss, who resent intervention from Brussels.

Christoph Blocher, a leading voice of the Swiss right and a eurosceptic, says Switzerland should consider abandoning Europe's Schengen system of passport-free travel if the Swiss people rejected the proposed measures in a referendum.

Drafted after militants killed scores in attacks in Paris last year, the EU plans on gun control aimed to curb online weapons sales and impose more restrictions on assault weapons.

But the initial proposal provoked an outcry in Switzerland because it meant a ban on the long Swiss tradition of ex-soldiers keeping their assault rifles.

  13. Vicars are told not to wear dog collars in public as experts fear ISIS will target British church in next attack

    • Vicar advised not to wear his dog collar out and about over terror fears
    • It's also been suggested congregations should have 'bouncer' on door
    • Calls for better protection for worshippers at smaller parish churches
    • National Churchwatch issued new guidance following priest's murder

Vicars have been told not to wear dog collars in public over fears that Islamic State will target a British church in its next attack.

One man of the cloth said he has been advised not to wear his dog collar out and about amid fears he could be singled out in a terror attack.

It has also been suggested UK church congregations should have a ‘bouncer’ on the door so that worshippers at small parish churches are more protected.

WILL THE BOUNCERS BE ARMED ?

  14. One of Hillary Clinton’s favorite ‘I helped the children’ stump stories is totally bogus

One of the tales Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton relies on to demonstrate her ability to work with Republicans for the sake of the children is almost entirely inaccurate. And that’s not according to some right-wing conspiracy theorist but, rather, an investigation by the liberal outlet Mother Jones.

The story turns on how Clinton as first lady reached across the aisle to work with Republican Tom DeLay — a famously partisan political opponent of her husband — on an adoption bill that became law in 1997. DeLay was House majority whip at the time and later joined in the effort to impeach Bill Clinton.

Hillary uses the story as evidence of her bipartisan chops, and it plays nicely into her campaign emphasis on her past work on behalf of children.

“I worked with Tom Delay, one of the most partisan Republicans in the congress, to reform the adoption and foster care system,” Clinton said in a February town hall cited by Mother Jones — one of many times she’s told the story. “We never became friends, but we did something good for a lot of young kids who had better lives because of it.”

The only problem with the story is that DeLay denies it — and independent checking reveals that the story is just another one of Clinton’s many tall tales.

But DeLay told Mother Jones he doesn’t remember working with Clinton on that bill, or having any meaningful interaction with her during his time in Congress. “I don’t remember ever working with her,” he said in reference to the adoption bill.

“I never talked to her, other than us being at that television interview that both of us thought was kind of weird,” he added, referencing an interview after they hosted a screening of a movie regarding the plight of foster kids when Clinton was in the Senate in 2003. “And I would remember. I have no knowledge of working with her other than that.”

Mother Jones found DeLay’s story holds up when checked against legislative records, White House records, video archives and people who worked on the bill. The Clinton campaign didn’t respond to requests for comment from Mother Jones.
