Yes. We got SS card 4 days after visiting the local SS office.

Went to SS office yesterday and they didn't have anything about my wife's SS card in their system. They entered all the information and gave us a confirmation letter that we applied for the SS card. As per SS office, we should get the card now in two weeks. 

The whole immigration system is broken as #######. They have no respect of their time and ours. 

Still waiting. If it doesn't arrive early next week, we will go to our local SS office.l

Can confirmed that it is not needed. My wife was asked about sealed package at the POE and she told the officer that she didn't get one. That was it.

I didnt see your post and posted my own question. My wife got her visa stamped on her passport back today. No sealed enevlope either. Amsterdam embassy.

My wife got her visa today and there is no sealed package with it. I kind of expected it based on other discussions on this forum. However, one of the document they provided with the visa still talks about the sealed package.  We will email consulate and confirm, but did anyone else got a sealed package with their visa?

This morning it changed to administrative processing and a few hours later it changed to issued.

I was really getting worried. Glad it is over. 

Happy Friday. Still no visa/passport back and no email response back from the consulate.

CEAC status stuck on READY. Last updated 8/8/2018.

Emailed emabassy yesterday. No response yet.

Sorry. Yes. Interview was on 7/24.

My wife had her CR1 interview on 08/24 and she was approved. However, we haven't heard anything since from the Amsterdam embassy. The "Case Last Updated" field updates every couple of days on CEAC status site, but status itself hasn't changed from READY. She has still not gotten her passport back. I am starting to freak out a little. Is it somewhat normal?

I would like to thank VJ and all members who helped me on my never ending questions. Without you guys i would never get alot of answers..

 

A few more steps (need to attend PDOS) here on our country and my family will be completed without the help of video calling....

Congrats. How long did it take you to get your passport back after the interview?

In every single case, I found round trip to be cheaper than one way. I will be buying round trip for my wife and we will just not use the return part. Simple as that. 

One week after the approval, we are still waiting for the passport to come back. CEAC site is stuck on READY state. 

Can't explain in words how frustrating this is. The counselor told me wife that she should have her passport back in 3 to 4 days.

They want to see original documents at the interview. I am quite positive that you will need to take the original divorce records with you. Call NVC and confirm. 

File soon. This process takes long to approve. My wife visited me from NL on ESTA without any issues. She bought a round trip ticket and stayed 84 or 85 days. No issues.

You receive notification when they actually schedule interview. If your country is backlogged and let's say you get an interview for Oct (hopefully, it is sooner than that), then NVC will schedule your interview some time in September and that's when you will get notification from NVC.

I called NVC last month and the represntative on the phone told me they schedule interviews at the end of the month. I expect a lot of people to get their interview dates next week.
