hi one thing that helped my fiance and us in interview was having print out of all our conversations we had in facebook, I prepared all including pictures and everything i did some editing on it to make the fonts and images smaller so it wont take much paper but still over 900 pages half of it double side... they told her that it seems you really love each other and they actually read some of it randomly, also be relax and be yourself, you dont lie, and be informed about your application and everything you filled in your papers and the letter you wrote to them, you will get it. you know why you are coming to US right? to get married and grow a family with your beloved fiance, (not husband) take care

23rd. Can’t wait for this whole thing to be over.

I am checking three times a day in case they have any earlier appointments from cancellations, but my fiancé is actually here from 16-24 so he will be able to attend with me which is REALLY nice and then I can follow him back about three weeks later.

    EXCITING!!!

Thank you so much! The interview was great because I had a cheerful CO. You will never feel nervous at all when talking to an officer who is friendly.

The questions were the usual ones: how we've met, when and where? When we've last seen each other and for how long? What my fiancé do for a living and where he lives. Maybe 6-7 questions only.

Haven't been able to update lately or review others' updates, but just wanted to share - things seem to be moving SUPER fast now once you reach the NVC stage. NVC received our info on January 17th, and my fiancé received his packet already, scheduled his medical for the 15th, and his interview has been scheduled for the 22nd. I'm flying to Sweden on the 19th for a couple of weeks and going to Stockholm with him when he goes for the interview. It's suddenly happening so fast, but it's a pleasantry for sure.

Best of luck to everyone else still waiting and taking it step by step. We're almost to the home stretch, you guys!!!

Once you enter the US with your K-1 visa, you can not leave the US before you receive an approved Advance Parole....That takes about 4 months after you (1) marry AND (2) file your AOS paperwork....

    Good Morning!!!

Yesterday my fiancé Received NVC letter in mail. Took 10 days since NVC assigned case number Jan 12.
I called yesterday to consulate and they told me they have my case but it takes up to 2 weeks to send me the email with instructions and that I can schedule my interview.
So I did, interview date Feb 21, waiting on email to go through with medical examination since in Dominican Republic we don't need to make an appointment.

    Waiting on that email...

It took 3 days to deliver my case to the embassy. We didn’t even get to ask for our case number from NVC . My fiancé woke up yesterday and he received Packet 3 in his email from the US Embassy.

Just thought I'd share my experience last night with the NVC.

Our NOA2 was received 12/1/17 (valid 11/30/17 through 3/29/18). Since it's been almost 2 months, I decided to give NVC a call myself despite the conflicting reviews from different people ranging from super helpful, to not very helpful at all.

I called around 6:19pm local time (Eastern). When I called, I selected the option from the automated menu for confirming if a case was received (I forget which numerical option that was). I spoke to a gentleman by the name of Hank who was not only very polite and friendly, but very quick with information and very helpful. If we got call surveys for these people, he'd have gotten all 5s.

I told him our NOA2 date and receipt number (I also had to provide both mine and my fiancé's full names, as the petitioner/USC, and also provide my fiancé/beneficiary's DOB). I explained that it's been over a month and a half now, and with our expiration date of 3/29/18 and medical requirements/interview still needing to be done, we were getting a bit anxious that we hadn't heard anything yet. As soon as I gave him this information (he must have been pulling us up while I was giving him my spiel), he said "Oh, we just received your papers yesterday! (1/17) It will be mailed to the embassy in Stockholm, which will take about 1 to 2 weeks."

I asked him if Paul would be able to go ahead with his medical requirements and see about scheduling an interview. He was honest and said he wasn't sure about the medical requirements, since it varies by country, but that the beneficiary should wait until he receives the paperwork from the embassy, which will be sent to him once they receive our information in Stockholm. These papers will contain information about his interview, so he should wait until he receives that.

He also provided me with our case number and an invoice number, which it's my understanding (in some countries), the beneficiary can go ahead with completing any required vaccinations, physicals, etc. as long as they have the case number from the NVC.

I'm not sure if I called at a good time of day, or the stars were just aligned well. Perhaps they weren't that busy that late in the evening (I didn't have to hold for a representative at all).

Good luck to all still waiting and trying to get information from the NVC! I hope anyone else who tries to give them a call will also have a pretty helpful convo. Ask for Hank maybe? Not sure if you can do that with the NVC or not.
