We September filers are getting so close… I'm sure we can all agree we can't wait to receive good news! I see so many posts about waiting, etc... Disclaimer: this isn't directed at any person in particular but I did want to share something my grandmother told me when she was still alive. I was complaining about long distance and she told me I should be thankful I have Skype, email, texts, etc. Back in her day, she married my grandfather and he left for war a few days after they were married. She didn't see him for 4 years… and relied solely on letters that took 4-5 weeks to arrive. Not even a phone call. Not one. To make matters worse, she didn't know if he was alive or dead or injured. Ever since she told me that, I realized I shouldn't complain. This K1 isn't taking “forever”(insert dramatic cue here), it's taking a finite amount of time, 6-9 months to be exact.  Stay positive everyone!

snowstorm shutting down the NVC, another snowball thrown at us lol
could be that they will be closed to Monday, snowstorm tonight and tomorrow until 1pm , then roads messy for Thursday and some will probably not go in on Friday and wait to return to work Monday, so this has a snowball effect (pun intended)

    Hi my September lovers

Hopefully we only have 1.5 months to go!

----Here's the repost for the week

    Hellloooooo Everyone,

For August, I know it feels like things around the corner.
And it is almost, but to give you and everyone a brief look on how things are going.

    Monthly situation;
            June      July       Aug      Sept      Oct       Nov       Dec       Total Approved 1398 459 13 6   1   1877 Touched 1050 356 139 129 128 67 28 1897 Virgins 1221 2595 3519 3176 3770 3304 3297 20882 Excluded 372 386 404 287 244 205 184 2082 Total 4041 3796 4075 3598 4142 3577 3509 26738
So we do think June is way ahead of what it looks like especially the virgin numbers, but we do have in vj at least 30 people waiting their noa2s in June.
for July I do also believe we have more approvals than it appears, because there were dates that show no approval updated, yet we know people are getting  their noa2s. (we had lots of that today too!)

The latest date that barely touched in July is July 24

However,we still have lots of early Julies waiting. So they still do have more to go.
I personally expect the July overall to be done next week, and then one more week for July to have its fire.
And this would be the time for June to wrap up, so they can move to August. (my expected due date for August is second week of Feb. alllll fingers crossed)

In February USCIS is going to update their website, which will hopefully show "July 1 as of November 31" which would be the touch for Juners to start inquiries and them to move to August.

    About NVC times
With some irregularities still occurring, NVC almost got back to its normal 2 weeks timeline.
If any delays again occur we will again start to track it!

For now Good luck to all of us!
  13. Thanks

Update of the graphs comparing May and June regarding the length of time from Received to Approved one month later (as to 01/20/2018), this time including July under the same conditions.

As a reminder, in the graphs below I try to compare what happened within the next 190 days after that last day of May, June and July 14th (last day with approvals) received cases. In order to see them clearer I put them together in pairs.

In that time, with a total of 1877, 818 and 243 approved cases (after removing some outliers) respectively:

May had a global mean of 175.25 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 14.06 days. June had a global mean of 186.05 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 9.16 days. July had a global mean of 193.91 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 3.28 days.
Even if it doesn't look very good (way less approvals in the same period of time for July and also starting from 185+ days) just remember that, because of the holidays, they haven't worked the same number of days, and more importantly, haven't been very consistent updating approvals, which is why these results only apply to the information it comes from, the unreliable information updated by USCIS.

If they keep the rate of approvals seen in the last days, I believe we'll start seeing a clear improvement in the next one or two months. Let's hope!

Lastly, the trend line for the average processing time of all cases received every considered day and approved within the next 204 days, as to 01/20/2018.

This time I have added some extra data in case you're interested (number of approved cases, number of received cases and percentage of approved cases (out of received)). As before, note that only updated cases could be considered.

As expected it's still too soon for a downward trend, but hopefully we'll start seeing some change by next month!

    Hello everyone!
I'm back.. To tell the truth going to see the fiancé and my future home, and coming back made me a little bit sad and more depressed than I was before I went... complicated times this is!   The cats are happily settled.... way too happily to tell the truth!  They did not even check or look at the cats when we were entering through LAX (This changes depending on the state - California doesn't ask for anything from cats) #Americancatfoodrocks    I can't believe so many people from June and even May friends are still waiting for NOA2...actually no, no ... I can't believe so many people are still waiting for NVC.   I won't be able to give a good weekly yet, as they are not updating properly. Which I am guessing they are not comfortable with us telling them  "Dude you are so not doing June 1 cases"   So I updated all the months even under the current circumstances,  to give an idea of how much pending case we have left. ------- Non-updated Noa2s However, my personal thoughts after seeing how the cases flow and update/non-update works. I believe June virgins are actually around 1300s, and some July cases will get their approval in the upcoming week without an update.   NVC Wait Right now average looks like 45+ days, you can also find list we are putting together in my signature if you want to check how that wait is going at the moment. This wait is caused because USCIS is not sending Approved petitions, it is not a wait happening at the NVC level. ------- I will be watching the situation through this week, to have better updates, and information on how things look.   Monthly situation is as follows;                  June       July       Aug      Sept        Oct       Nov        Total Approved 946 15 13 6   1 981 Virgin (Untouched) 1884 3263 3519 3176 3770 3304 18916 Touched (RFEs,Updates) 853 135 139 129 128 67 1451 Excluded 358 383 404 287 244 205 1881 Total 4041 3796 4075 3598 4142 3577 23229   For months after August, I would say watch for when they update the website information to July 1. Because the "as of" they'll give will show us if they will try and speed up their approvals. We already know October 31 update is not really truth, however they did by then touched all May cases. so the real update for the next one normally should be July 1 as of December 31 (which is not exactly correct either), However I expect if they actually speed up the process they may give us a July 1 as of November 30 update!   *For anyone who didn't do it yet, please get informed delivery if it's available in your area.   Monthly Virgins + Pending per dates:   09/01/17 147 09/05/17 413 09/06/17 102 09/07/17 99 09/08/17 86 09/11/17 353 09/12/17 83 09/13/17 96 09/14/17 126 09/15/17 156 09/18/17 330 09/19/17 155 09/20/17 83 09/21/17 126 09/22/17 176 09/25/17 338 09/26/17 105 09/27/17 65 09/28/17 119 09/29/17 142 Total 3300     Google drive for Monthly data: *For December cases I am gathering the info right now and will be up in a few days in this same folder https://drive.google.com/drive/u/2/folders/1nOldX1MGHgTmZYtF64gGXNHoROGIksA0    PS_I don't put this post in June, or May. Because they have a lot to deal with right now already. And there was no information that can help them at the moment. When upset and angry let's all remember that we are all in the same boat here. Good luck to all of us.

They got a delay because they write wrong the bday if not she will get a little bit sooner her green card. Usually is 5-6 months to get the green card from what I heard lately but miracles still can happen.

Hi guys. After my last post, I started to think about a way to compare different months when it comes to length of time from Received to Approved, to try to identify a possible tendency over the months.

The first problem was to actually get the data from April, that had to be old enough so that the cases in it hadn't been touched yet. Unfortunately the oldest raw data @Naes had wasn't as old, but she did a wonderful job modifying it so that it showed the most probable received dates for all already touched cases. Believe me when I say that wasn't a job of a few minutes, so I can't thank her enough!

After that, the next problem was to find a way to compare April and May, something that initially wasn't possible since the "conditions" for both months weren't the same. Why? Simply because April had had "more time" to accumulate cases with longer approval times (long cases that May will also eventually have, but it's just to soon for them to show up).

So I thought, ok, in order to be able to compare them let's give them the same amount of time. From the last day that May received cases (05/31/17) up to the day of the last scan (11/20/17), a number of 173 days passed. Since the last day of April to receive cases was 04/28/17, for this month I only considered cases approved within the next 173 days (up to 10/18/17), just like May.

In other words, what I'm trying to do here is to compare what happened within the next 173 days after that last day of both, April and May, received cases.

And the graph below is what I came up with.

In that time, with a total of 1412 and 1522 approved cases respectively:

April had a global mean of 153.12 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 15.08 days. May had a global mean of 169.95 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 9.46 days.
As you guys can see, the tendency clearly worsened from April to May, with less disperse lengths of time for the latter, which is good because that means more people get their cases approved in "around" the same time, but with higher lenghts of time for those cases to actually get approved.

I'm hoping to see how that tendency improves from June on, we'll just have to wait a little for the next report

Oh ok because you said wedding preparations are done. My advice for that big of a wedding would be to Be careful with your dates.   And January is highly unlikely right now. There are 9000 cases in between.

Even if you get noa2, nvc also takes at least 2-3 weeks and then you need to get an interview day. Which in some countries takes up to 2 months.

i don't want to burst any bubble in up for positivity all the way but I wouldn't want you to waste money and get Disappointed
