Hi All!

So, we had our combined interview on Nov 7th for I-751 and N-400.

The USCIS agent said not enough info in the I-751 pack so would issue an RFE, but would continue the interview for N-400.

The N-400 was passed successfully so said when she received the evidence would process the application for both forms as passed.

My question is how long after an interview do you typically receive the RFE? She said in the interview she would send it that week but it’s been 3 weeks already. I called USCIS today and they said nothing has been sent yet.

Should I call the field office (Newark)?

N-400 is in Newark NJ, I-751 case got transferred to Lee Summit MO 

Hi Everyone!

I applied for I-751 April 21, with my GC due to expire June ‘21. 

I then applied for N-400 on May ‘22, I’ve received the interview date for Nov ‘22

The I-751 has changed online to “case transferred and a new office has jurisdiction.

does this mean they will be combined for my N-400 interview or will it likely be declined due to my I-751 still pending? 
 

Side question it doesn’t say on the interview notice that I need to bring my spouse but I’ve read online if they combine the 2 that he would need to be there for any I-751 related issues.

I booked a trip to the UK 3 months ago and just got my N-400 interview date…… it’s the morning of the day I fly!

Do they take your passport? Am I still safe to fly or should I reschedule for the week after I return?

The UK is part of the UN Convention of Road Traffice so should be pretty easy! No appointments in NJ to get a permit yet though so hopefully not too longs wait

Whats the process to get a NJ drivers license? I have a full UK one and have been here for a year so I don’t think I can just drive on it/the international one I had.

NJ permit appointments seem to constantly be unavailable so I’m hoping I can just take a test but I know It’s really unlikely on that one.

I checked out the DMV pages and it seems to be the UK license has no strength in the US which is ok, just want the steps so I don’t anger the DMV staff 😂

i married in Newark and on the marriage license there was no option to change my name to my husbands.

do I do this when applying for the marriage certificate? Or do I do it through the court afterwards?

im filling in the ds160, I upload my picture which it says is accepted eg size, resolution is all good.

then it states there is an error and to try again later! 

Ive tried this in 2 separate laptops and my phone, I’ve changed the size of the picture, changed the resolution, cropped to a square still no luck. Has anyone else had this and how did you fix it?

im having the same problem 

photo is right size, right resolution etc, ds160 uploads and says it accepted then when it comes to confirmation it says ‘ there is an error please try again later,. Can’t move on the da160 past this point! I don’t know what else to try, 

Received our email with the case number today! 😍 can’t wait for the next step!

so in order

- Have fiance work on I-134 and supporting docs ASAP. Ours took 2 weeks to arrive in snail mail from US east coast.

- submit for police certificate

- get medical summary from gp (and vaccine list). If you have any prior medical conditions maybe get a letter from GP describing them. (i.e depression)

- gather evidence

- Book medical

- complete DS160

- complete medical questionnaire

- Check case status and then when you see it say "Ready"

- Check your emails they will be sending "Packet 3" info (just some instructions)

- Pay Visa Fee

-Fill our readiness form

- Book appointment at consulate (For a minimum of 5 business days after Medical but 7-10 days is better)

Sorry if this has already been asked but I can’t see it on the thread. Our I-129f was approved by mail on 20.03, I just want to confirm that the NVC send out a case number or do you have to call to receive it? 

Also when the nvc send the case to the US embassy is the interview set before I apply for the visa?

Need a little help, I’m August 30 (199 days) tried calling uscis for an update but it’s all automated and I don’t get put through to anyone

its saying my 10 digit receipt number isn’t long enough and hangs up.

Any ideas?
