What document did they take from you? Did they require updated tax documents?
Last week I received an email directly from the embassy with a checklist. Requesting original birth certificate for my husband and I, marriage certificate and police clearance from all countries he's ever lived in and copies of those requested doucments. I had a binder with 2016 tax transcript and 2017 w2, pay srubs, job letter, wedding photos, printed phone conversation.
But when we got there they only wanted what was on the checklist they emailed us and nothing else, they even gave us back all the documents we sent with the i130 and doucments we sent to nvc.
But my best advice to you is walk with everything its better to have it and not need it then need it and don't have it

WOW omg I'm so so happy for both!!! Amazing!!!
My wife and I are counting the days, I already bought my flight to go to the interview with her, and I know that everything will turn out well in the name of Jesus!
Thank you. Everything will be fine. The consulates are friendly making it easy to talk to. My husband's entire interview felt like we were talking to a friend about our journey

Hello everyone I'm happy to announce my husband's Visa was approved today
Total time spent at the embassy 45-50 minutes
Questions
Are you the petitioner to me
when and where did you meet her reaction was wow what a nice love story
Have you ever lived or worked outside of Guyana
Did you start it dating right after meeting
she asked me how often did I travel to Guyana
Congratulations your Visa was approved
Then she said to him come back on Tuesday the 3rd she stopped herself and asked me when was I returning back to the United States I told her that I was traveling back to the United States on the 3rd. And I would like for us to travel back together . She then said they don't process visas on Thursdays and Friday and Monday are holidays I told her then I will call my boss and request an additional day off would we be able to pick up the Visa Tuesday morning she said hold on let me check something she came back and said come back tomorrow at 1 p.m. to pick up your passport with the VISA

Hello!
Everyone I'm glad to let all the community know that we got the visa. interview was this past Tuesday and the visa was ready for pickup today. 🤗
A HUGE THANK YOU! To every member in the community who helped us and brought some company during this wait.
The process for us took 333 days total. For any Peruvian couples out there, feel free to read my review too.
For the rest of couples waiting, keep the positive attitude and remain strong! Don't let this process hurt your relationship, love can overcome anything.
Francesca
Congratulations

Hi all! My case has had a ready ststus with the NVC since February 20...does this mean CC?
I don't understand. You said you status showed ready since Feb 20th but you asking if that means CC... If it showed ready previously that means you are past CC and at interview phase now. So are you waiting for CC or interview?

I received a emailed checklist directly from the embassy a week ago requesting documents my husband needs to bring to his interview. It asked for original birth certificate from the petitioner and beneficiary and copies, original marriage certificate and copies, and police report and copies, two 2×2 passport size pictures which I've already done one day after NVC gave me our interview date everything they asked for we have and more. They did not request my most current tax return or any tax return at that but I will be traveling with it for the interview. I leave in 2 days to travel down for my husband's interview which is next Tuesday the 27th
