  1. So while I wait for the NVC to tell me they received the case, I have a question...

It seems like from this point forward the work towards a visa is done by my fiance in the Philippines, and since I'm the sponsor/petitioner my work is pretty much done? She will be making appointments and preparing for the medical and interview?

I'm trying to figure if there's anything else I can do to help.

    Thanks.

  2. For anyone interested....

Today marks 9 days since the NOA2 on my case, and I called NVC and they still haven't received it. Seems like 10 days is somewhat typical based on some experiences I've seen here.

Hoping it will be tomorrow, to start the weekend off right. And then my fiance in the Philippines can start making plans for medical and interview I suppose.

I am trying not to think too much about it.  Very frustrated and sad right now.  The only thing keeping me going is being able to talk with Monica everyday.  I am happy for everyone that is getting their NOA2 and beyond, but I am very very very jealous of them and even a little resentful of them.  I see people complain about under 100 days of waiting and even a little more.  We are sitting at 163 days since received.  Oh Well, we'll see.

One Day More... One Day Less... One Day Closer... :jest:

Even after getting our NOA2 yesterday I keep checking here to see if Keith and Monica got theirs. Our dates were very close, so I'm convinced you'll get it this week. Maybe there was a different person working on yours and they took some days off for Labor Day.

Yes. My email is always on so I have notifications when an email comes in. So far, nothing yet. I hope I get the noa2 this week. It's gonna be 5 months for me in two days :(

Yeah, today marks my 5 months, and I'm still in "response to RFE" mode. And yesterday was my fiance's birthday, and we've been apart for about 1.5 years now. After being together for 2 years.

Hang in there. It will come

Yes, which is why called.  I was shocked by the Tier 2 lady that accused me of swearing.  I am so pissed off at that.  They need to get people that can actually amnswer questions honestly.

Maybe they're being smart...promise a little, but deliver a lot. Then people get surprised and happy that it didn't take 60 days it took only 15 days.

And honestly, it seems like the job of answering phone calls from people wondering why their visa isn't done probably is one of the most painful jobs around. Can you imagine every day getting angry people with complaints? I mean, how  many people call to thank them for doing it quickly? :D

I sure don't envy them. Tough job.

I am so beyond livid right now.  I decided to call the USCIS today, Tier 1 was the usual unhelpful.  They said that because of RFE that we are to give them an addition 60 days.  I insisted to speak to a Tier 2 person.  Took about 35 min or so and got on the phone again.  She (George?) said basically the same thing and that they are working on February and are not on March 28 received dates, at which point I attempted to point out that that was not the case and she proceeded to say that if I was going to swear that she was not going to listen to it and hung up on me.  I am pretty sure that I didn't swear.  I mean I do swear quite a bit, but I usually know when I do.

Next call is to my Senetor, Mr Ron Wyden.  Placed call and left message for call back, Waiting on that now.

Yeah, but you know that's their standard line and they're just covering themselves. We've seen recent cases here where an NOA2 came only a week or so after receiving the evidence right?

Unfortunately it will come snail mail.

    Keith & Monica,

It looks like you and I have eerily similar timelines...both Philippines, both had RFE requests in the last week or two, both waiting on final NOA2.

Looks like you've been waiting for 10 days now for an NOA2? I hope they get a dose of adrenaline before the Labor Day weekend coming up and get both of ours out.
