For what I've seen average is more like in the 13-15 days mark, but keep trying, you might get a nice surprise tomorrow evening, since it's not unheard of either
Good luck!
Wow, so much for my arithmetic. Actually yours was one case I was looking at. NOA2 on the 10th, NVC on the 24th.
And of course, 24 - 10 = 10. Geeez.
-
For anyone interested....
Today marks 9 days since the NOA2 on my case, and I called NVC and they still haven't received it. Seems like 10 days is somewhat typical based on some experiences I've seen here.
Hoping it will be tomorrow, to start the weekend off right. And then my fiance in the Philippines can start making plans for medical and interview I suppose.

For info, I just called the NVC (the ...0888) number to see if they have my MNL# yet, and they said not yet. I received the NOA2 approval notification on their website on Sept 5.
I'll try again in a day or so.
BTW, I called at 4:30 pm and got someone on the line after less than a 5 minute wait, and he was real nice.

Hello! Just ask April filers who are in Philippines - how long did you wait to call NVC?
Approval notice date is Sep 2
App got update Sep 5
Thank you!
When do you think I can call?
Hehe
I have the same dates...
I'm thinking I'll try on Wednesday. But if you do it sooner let us know what happened
I'll be hoping you get something...

LabOz, my timeline is in my signature. Doesn't it show up?
I couldn't figure out how to do the timeline thing, and I figured the signature route was more useful for everyone.

Well this is a surprise....
Opened my mailbox today and there was my approval letter from USCIS !! Only 2 days after I got notified of status change via text and their online status tracker. Cool.
And what's even more surprising is I had just last week notified them of a change of address, and this mail showed up at my new address.
My faith in government has been restored

I am trying not to think too much about it. Very frustrated and sad right now. The only thing keeping me going is being able to talk with Monica everyday. I am happy for everyone that is getting their NOA2 and beyond, but I am very very very jealous of them and even a little resentful of them. I see people complain about under 100 days of waiting and even a little more. We are sitting at 163 days since received. Oh Well, we'll see.
One Day More... One Day Less... One Day Closer...
Even after getting our NOA2 yesterday I keep checking here to see if Keith and Monica got theirs. Our dates were very close, so I'm convinced you'll get it this week. Maybe there was a different person working on yours and they took some days off for Labor Day.

For me, I haven't yet received an email or text from the tracker app on my phone or regular mail. The only way I found out was I just happened to check the online USCIS status tracker page.
So it seems like the online tracker is working well. It said the case was approved today.
-
For those wondering about processing time after they receive your additional evidence (in response to an RFE) for us it was almost exactly 1 week.
And it seems like the person handling the Philippines applications was extra busy on the day after a long Labor Day weekend. Wow, that's impressive.

Well, I just checked the online status update for my K1 visa and IT WAS APPROVED TODAY!!!
I sent the additional evidence maybe a week ago, and it was approved today and the status was updated. I'm expecting the hardcopy in the mail maybe early next week if it's coming from the west coast.
Funny, I check three times today, and the last time was the charm.
Wow, I'm hoping Keith and Monica, who had almost identical dates to us and also had RFE got the same good news

Ok, i still haven't got an email about the RFE or tracker change. I'm just going off of what the Tier 2 told me. Did that happen to you?
Mine showed up on the status tracker website the same day it was sent. And I also got a notification the same day on my smartphone tracker app.

The Tier 2 told me that i had an RFE ordered on Monday. Does anyone know roughly the time it takes to get the mail form?
If it's coming from California, and you're on the east coast, generally 5 business days. That's what it took for mine.

Yes. My email is always on so I have notifications when an email comes in. So far, nothing yet. I hope I get the noa2 this week. It's gonna be 5 months for me in two days
Yeah, today marks my 5 months, and I'm still in "response to RFE" mode. And yesterday was my fiance's birthday, and we've been apart for about 1.5 years now. After being together for 2 years.
Hang in there. It will come

Thank you!!
Just don't be surprised if your Senator won't check on your case for you. Our senator's website specifically states they won't help check status or deal with federal agencies on your behalf. Can't say that I blame them.

Just now, mmedaus21 said:
Question, what did you write to your US senator? cause I think I might go that route
Geez, the more people writing their senators the more of us non-senator-requestors will be put on the back burner...

Yes, which is why called. I was shocked by the Tier 2 lady that accused me of swearing. I am so pissed off at that. They need to get people that can actually amnswer questions honestly.
Maybe they're being smart...promise a little, but deliver a lot. Then people get surprised and happy that it didn't take 60 days it took only 15 days.
And honestly, it seems like the job of answering phone calls from people wondering why their visa isn't done probably is one of the most painful jobs around. Can you imagine every day getting angry people with complaints? I mean, how many people call to thank them for doing it quickly?
I sure don't envy them. Tough job.

I am so beyond livid right now. I decided to call the USCIS today, Tier 1 was the usual unhelpful. They said that because of RFE that we are to give them an addition 60 days. I insisted to speak to a Tier 2 person. Took about 35 min or so and got on the phone again. She (George?) said basically the same thing and that they are working on February and are not on March 28 received dates, at which point I attempted to point out that that was not the case and she proceeded to say that if I was going to swear that she was not going to listen to it and hung up on me. I am pretty sure that I didn't swear. I mean I do swear quite a bit, but I usually know when I do.
Next call is to my Senetor, Mr Ron Wyden. Placed call and left message for call back, Waiting on that now.
Yeah, but you know that's their standard line and they're just covering themselves. We've seen recent cases here where an NOA2 came only a week or so after receiving the evidence right?
-
I'm getting the sense that an RFE puts your application on a slow track, causing you to lose at least a few weeks or a month from how it would otherwise be processed. Maybe not, but sure seems that way based on those with similar dates.

Unfortunately it will come snail mail.
Keith & Monica,
It looks like you and I have eerily similar timelines...both Philippines, both had RFE requests in the last week or two, both waiting on final NOA2.
Looks like you've been waiting for 10 days now for an NOA2? I hope they get a dose of adrenaline before the Labor Day weekend coming up and get both of ours out.

Okay well I sent the requested evidence (fiance's intent to marry letter), it was received yesterday according to USPS, and last night after midnight I got a status update from USCIS saying they did receive it.
So now the wait until NOA2 approval. I'm hoping it gets done this week. And then maybe early November she'll be here? Seems like forever.

I129F April 2017 filers
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
So while I wait for the NVC to tell me they received the case, I have a question...
It seems like from this point forward the work towards a visa is done by my fiance in the Philippines, and since I'm the sponsor/petitioner my work is pretty much done? She will be making appointments and preparing for the medical and interview?
I'm trying to figure if there's anything else I can do to help.
Thanks.
