I know your feeling, I honestly didn’t hope until last night, because over 150 of 22th were still waiting and no touched almost every day!!! Really frustrated!!!

It is redicilous! Hope you get approved tomorrow or this week. Looks like it’ll also take so long to receive a NVC # after approval.... I am so done with this so my fiancée and I just decided to spend the New Years and whole January together! We’re just done being stressed out 😂😂 It’s been just too long and this is stupid!! Lol

I have been a little hesitate to share updates about our process, as I feel bad that so many people are still waiting. But I hope my timeline will encourage those of you still waiting , particularly for the NVC to receive your case. As at least in our case this was when the process started moving faster. 

Our Visa was approved at the US embassy in Stockholm Wednesday November 29th. 

Noa 1: May 3rd 
RFE: Sep 29th 
Noa 2: Oct 19th
Medical part 1 Nov: 6th (Majorstua)
Medical part 2: Nov 7th (KAL)
NVC received: Nov 13th 
NVC case number: Nov 13th 
NVC left: Nov 16th 
I actually called the NVC November 16th at 11pm Norwegian time. They told me there was no update on when my case would be mailed, and that it still had not been processed. When I checked the CEAC online update at 8.05am Norwegian time November 17th I found that my case had been received at the US Embassy in Stockholm. I later received an e-mail update from the NVC that my application has been mailed from the NVC on Nov 16th. This mean that the NVC representative that I spoke to on the phone on the 16th either lied to me or did not have access to relevant information. Either way I would not put full trust in what NVC officers tell you. 
Consulate received: Nov 17th 
Packet 3: Nov 17th (at the Stockholm embassy this is send through e-mail) 
At the Stockholm embassy you must wait until you receive packet 3 to scheduled your interview. I first scheduled my interview for Dec 7th as this was the earliest appointment available. 4 days later I was able to get a interview appointment for November 29th, so I reschedule my appointment.

For my case, when I submit 住民票異動届, there is a column to  write where do you live next and  if I specify USA to my US fiancée or anywhere outside Japan,  I might be asked why are you specifying US address BEFORE I get K-1 visa at interview timing...and not just that timing I might get asked when I do other visa process in US to get green card, they will ask me the same question which makes hard for me to answer.
 
#I guess your case to write where you move on 住民異動届 isn't US fiance's place correct? If so I guess that is fine.

"日本に住民票がなく、海外にも住所地がないとなりますと、いわゆる住所不定ということになります。通常は好ましくない、社会的信用が低下している状態になっていると感じるのですが、この点、審査官をご質問者様にビザを発行するに足りる、信頼のある人物であると説得できますか？ということです。
また、ビザが認められた後でも、何らかの手続きをする際に、日本の書類では日本に12月まで住んでいたとあり、アメリカの書類上は、別のビザ発行の日付がでてくることになります。その間は何をしていたのか、どのような状況にあったのか説明を求められるような状況がもし発生した場合に、こまることがあるかもしれません。
具体的な手続きを想定してのものではありませんが、先行して住民票を抜くメリットより万一のリスクのほうが大きいのではないかと思料いたします。"

”なるほどですね。その場合、住民票を抜く際の住民異動届を見ると、「新住所及び世帯主」を書く欄がありますよね？そこには婚約者の国・住所を指定したとします。それ自体が問題になるということですよね？なぜならK-1ビザは米国に結婚のために入国するためのビザであり、K-1ビザ発行前までに住所を米国に指定していたら、それはなぜ？ということになるから。上記の理解合っていまでしょうか？ご確認よろしくお願いします。”

”はい、お見込みのとおりです。なお、海外転出の場合の異動届には、転出先住所には、国名のみを記載し、新しい住所の世帯主は記入しません。（世帯主はあくまでも日本の住民票制度上の概念だからです。）
