Not clear to me about the relation of your daughter's father with you.  Who has the custody of your daughter?  Is your daughter currently living with you?  Who provide financial support?

The father has custody, we are not married i was abused that’s why I left and he doesn’t want to give me my child when i tried talking to him. He will only give the child once i go back to him. So it’s a no for me. And up until now he doesn’t want me to have a communication with my daughter. I did try to send her some monetary through my friend but he got angry and threatened my friend. I’m sorry if this sounds weird to you. I was just wondering where can i get the court order that the USCIS is asking?

    Hello All,

Hoping for guidance from the community. I had my N-400 Citizenship interview today and after the interview, the officer notified that she will not be able to make a decision at this time because I needed to submit a Police Report along with the Cancellation of Warrant from the court that I had submitted for a traffic violation (failure to appear for summons). Very frustrating and nerve wracking.

I can see that the RFE was posted on the USCIS status website but the document is not visible yet. With a little bit of digging in the forums, I found out that it'll only be available for viewing pleasure tomorrow, after I guess the server gets updated, taking its sweet time. But I can see that there is a way to respond to the RFE and to upload documents! Very exciting. Does anyone have experience with this? Has anyone uploaded RFE related documents before and had success. Should I wait for this RFE to arrive via snail mail, bite the bullet and respond through physical means? Because I would love to just upload, and pray that the upload triggers a red blinker upon the IO's desk to adjudicate this urgently.

Much ... much ... appreciate your sharing any experience with this.

Hi! I have the same issue, I got the letter of continuance and it says i only have one chance to do it. I tried to click the one on the left side and it leads me to the letter. And I just printed the letter and will send them through mail today.

Is the Birth Certificate American or Philippines?

The Birth Certificate is a legal document and you are listed as the mother right? If that is the case it does not matter if you signed it or not, you are the legal mother.

I did not sign either of my chidren's Birth Certificate's as I am in a different country. However I am listed as the father on the legal vailid birth certificate, so I am legally the father.

Thank you for the answer, It’s just so confusing coz when the father doesn’t have the signature it means he is not the legal father,so i was thinking the same thing that it applies to me as I don’t have my signature on the documents. By the way it is a Philippine Birth Certificate.

  4. HI! It list me as a mother on the first page. I am talking about the one that you need to sign on the Affidavit of  Paternity and Affidavit of Acknowledgement section.

Your daughter’s birth certificate does not list a mother?

  5. Hi Guys! I had my interview today, I passed the civic and written test but the IO hand me the paper with "decisions cannot be made yet" and they send me a letter of Notice of Continuance which they are asking for my daughter's Birth Certificate which i just noticed that I don't have the signature in the document as a mother. Coz my ex boyfriend did it without my presence. And also I failed to list my daughter on my ROC but she was listed on the CR1 visa. That is why they are asking for a letter of explanation why i failed to list my child. And they are also asking for a court order which I don't have. My question is, should I let them know on the letter that I didn't get to sign the birth certificate infront of a government employee? And please I need some advice what to do. Thank you!

    Hi all,

Did anyone still waiting for an interview get a message update that says "Estimated wait time: We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time."

Our wait time went down to one more month, but for some reason, we are getting that message at the same time.

    Help! :)

I got that message too, My estimated time changed from November 2019 to July 2019. And under its says We are taking longer than expected to process your case.

  7. Hi guys, I am asking for a friend. She needs a some advice, as when she applied for ROC she left off (did not state on forms) her kid from wedlock coz she's not living with her. And so she got approved for ROC, now she is applying for Naturalization and she is thinking if she'll do the same thing? Since she did not put the daughter on the ROC. Will this cause a conflict on her case if she'll tell the officer on her interview?
