It is hit or miss if they ask for it.  Worse case scenario will be a 221 where they ask for the file.  Not a deal breaker at all.  Try to get a scanned copy and make sure a wet signature copy is on its way (if they ask).

No. That is common verbiage.
Check with the forum from your country and know what to expect once your case is "ready." For some countries you do everything from here on out. Others, they do it for you.

Our case has is READY!!!! It's at the JA Embassy!!! OMG....its finally has come for us to schedule everything today!!!!!

My case status changed to "in transit" today so it's on it's way to the Jamaica Embassy!!!!! Yaaaaayyyy!!!!

I wasn’t expecting this! We just finished the DS160, all we need is for Atti to take a picture but he says he needs a hair cut first (🤦🏼‍♀️The man is bald 🤷‍♀️) go figure 😂😂😂 anyway Hungary is a bit different from what I gathered. He needs to contact embassy to schedule appointment once we receive packet 3.

Like our silent NOA2 - my packet arrived yesterday😍 Again there is NO Update via online. I'm a bit worried as most you guys got your nvc case numbers and started to track the status. We haven't read through all the instructions inside the packet yet but we're really happy it came earlier than expected.
For those couples out there with the same case like ours (no update via online at all) I know it's driving you crazy and testing your patience but keep tight and buckle up to your surprise one of these days your packet will be at your doorstep.

I did and it says my case is in transit to Budapest 😍

I have just received my first email from NVC.  They have received my file!  Not bad.  It only took 13 days to notify me about something I knew.

Yes, I received the case number on Monday, waiting for the next step...

You are rocking and rolling now!  They answer phones until 10:00 eastern....just sayin’.  Maybe one more call later please!

NVC received our case today but the case number is ready yet. I'll call back on Monday to get it. Only took 9 days for them to receive it.

@Kari & Atti WOOHOO!!! Waiting for an email from NVC so we can go through the next steps! Nervous and excited!!

Just call NVC.  Don't bother searching here.  You have better things to do.  They have an online link but it takes them a couple days to respond.  NVC is much nicer on the phone than USCIS.  Just call them and get your number while you are together.

Awww I’m so happy for you! I called today and they told me they received my case yesterday!!!!! We were on FaceTime celebrating our 3rd stepping stone, three more to go.

Boy, do I hear you...waiting was getting comfortable.  Once we got NOA2 it has been a blur.  New stresses and pressures.  More paperwork.  It was 20 days from NOA2 to the petition (or part of it) to be at the Embassy.  It was only 5 days from NVC received to READY.  We have some other challenges now since Aira is not on the petition for some reason but we will fix that.  They have already completed day 1 of the two day medical and the interview, as of this moment, is scheduled for April 17.  Talk about 0 to 60 speed!  Just hang in there.  You are doing great.  Keep breathing and this will all be over very soon.

That's awesome! My NOA2 date is 3/6, and I totally understand that "rush"! Even though mine is moving slower than yours I'm so nervous and excited and all of the emotions jumbled together.  GOOD LUCK!

That is the standard answer.  It should be quicker!  Congratulations.  I was told the same thing and it was only 5 days from NVC received to Ready at the Manila Embassy
