  1. After our interview in Colombia where the officer stated he cant say yes or no at the interview, and he will make his decision that day or tomorrow. our status went from:

    "Ready" one week

    "Admin Processing 2 days"

    Then "issue"

This is after 26 months with a K1 and I-601 waiver. My finance finally arrived this past Saturday. She arrived with her K1 Visa and sealed package from embassy. However, they kept her in secondary processing when she arrived, making statements "this is not all the documents"  However, she did have the required documents! After letting her sit in a room for 5 hours no communication  they gave her the passport and let her out.

Goes to show you that you can have an approved K1 and I-601 waiver from USCIS and the embassy! However, the point of entry still has the last word! I am thankful we are finally together. This has been very challenging mentally, physically and financially!! Good luck

    to everyone!

  2. After 26 months

    - Approved K1 oct, 2017

    - Interview Dec 2017

    - I-601 waiver approved March 2019

    -Follow up Interview April 2019

(No decision at interview, but  took passport)

    - May 8 online status went from "Ready" to "administrative processing"

-May 9 status changed to "issued"

This process has been draining mentally, physically and financially!

Thank everyone for the information and encouraging words!

If I can give any advice take advantage of all resources,  local congressman, lawyers, ombudsman office, constant calls and emails.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel even if currently its overwhelming.

All the best luck to everyone!

i understand totally what you are saying... its been 5 months since I applied... and it feels like a 1000 years ago... i am very anxious and sometime the long wait its hard... spacially when you have to manage, work, everyday life situations and a long distance relationship... i feel very lonely and bored at times... but i guess its just part of the process.... the traveling back and forth its hard, i have missed to many days of work, and my paychecks were really bad... the money seems not be enough at times

Definitely is a hard process mentally, physically, and financially. We are at 26 months and attended our last interview was a week ago, and our status still reads "ready" for the interview which was updated today to the same status "ready". How can it update to ready when we had the interview a week ago. Very frustrating.

Whenever your AP case is being updated and you notice a date change, it means your case has been "touched" so you can be sure the decision on your visa's fate has been made since it's weekend you will be hearing from them next week hopefully from monday or within next week it will change to "issued", Goodluck.

Thank you! With all the stress, loneliness etc. For the 26 months It's a battle between the answer and the relationship tension. To everyone in this situation it takes two people to stay positive and strong together. Also, remember after your Docs are submitted everything else is out of your control! Don't take the frustrations out on your  man/woman.

  5. My fiance and I attended our final K1 interview with an approved K1 and I-601 waiver. The counsler informed us he will make a decision that afternoon or the following day, and took my fiance passport and gave us an domestic violence paper.

The status on the website is still listed as "Ready" only thing that changes is the update date.

What is going on here? Is there anyone with a similar situation or information??

I have a question my husband I 601  was received on July 6 2018 i601a was approved here in USA . We had everything done because we knew he was going to get the waiver . I see on USCIS that says last updated on 02-01-19 does that mean they are checking his case ?

I on seen last updated dates change if there was a change in status, or a response to an inquiry. The date never changed for me when it became in an officers hands for adjudication.

    you have had the interview

after interview this time period is called AP for the embassy work

they are not good about keeping up with the posts on the site /  never have been

expect it to say AP soon  / if lucky,  it could go to issued

The status was on administrative processing for months also during our response to the RFE it was at that status, then was changed to ready.

They call this AP   (administrative processing)   it can take days,  weeks or months

they will do some additional security checks if this is needed or just process the visa

sorry but you need a lot of patience for this process

we applied K1 2009 and then after a denial married and finally got the visa 2015

    $35,000 later

you sitll have the AOS $1225 fee to go thru here

Why would they take passport?   they can search it for trips made outside of Columbia (for 1 thing) and also this is a good sign that they intend to approve

    this is not easy

    this is not fast

    this is not cheap

so sorry you have run into a lengthy ordeal but yes, there is a light at the end of the tunnel

Actually we are passed the administrative processing, we successfully responded to a RFE and administrative processing. Now the status still reads ready which means, we are ready for our interview.

  9. Where is the light at the end of the tunnel???!

    -K1 Approved Oct. 2017

    -Interview at Bogota Counsel Dec.2017

    - Notified at Interview we need a I-601 waiver

    - Hired a lawyer received I-601 Approved April 2018

    - Notified by Bogota embassy they received our I-601 Approval and to schedule a follow-up Interview

    - Attended the followup Interview at the Bogota Counsler on April 29,2019

    - At the Interview the counselor took my fiance passport. However,

informed us that he cant say yes or no at this time, and will make a decision maybe this week.

-After thousand of dollars; going on 3 years, doing everything requested from the entire process still sitting in a hotel with no decision.

-No criminal record, no overstay, 2 1/2 years of proof. Visiting my fiancé monthly, vacations etc!

    - We have ran out of solutions and everything else!

    - Why would they take my fiance passport at the Interview. However, not give us a yes or no?

Omg thats a really long wait! Congratulations tho you guys are one step closer 🤗

I'm on day 160 and hoping for the best these next two weeks 🙏🏽

I heard it many times and found this now to be true. It will come when you least expect it. A tier two officer told me yesterday it can come in one week or months.

I am headed to Colombia this weekend to see my fiance to celebrate her birthday, and we had planned to discuss other options to be together.

The NOA2 took 203 days but the timing was perfect.

I wish you a responce very soon. Unfortunately, we know way to much how the wait feels! Good Luck!

Nearly 7 months for you guys with no RFE

Congrats again to you both. I just commented on the March thread about this.

Any idea why the delay did you have senator involvement?

    Party time there first LOL

    Steven

    Thanks! Yes we reached out

to two senators and exhausted every resource available. The reaponse we kept

    getting is awaiting security checks.

  12. Excuse the frustration as today is my fiancé birthday and another special occasion we are apart! We are currently at 200 days with no NOA2 where is the logic or accountability. I have exhausted every resource available to assist us and nothing! The same copy and paste response that's been sent out to customers for decades. Ironically our processing fee was processed in one day but no response in 200 days. Oh well Happy Birthday to my beautiful Fiancé 😍😍

139Days here, I'm so so so so worried about I can't reach the wedding day (Feb) !  Suddenly, I feel don't want to leave my family and hometown,  anyone has that same feeling?

We have moved many dates already unfortunately. However, we had no idea we would be today at 196 days with no NOA2. Looks like my situation is not the majority so wish you all the luck.

  14. Hello Everyone in the May Filers. I started this Journey with VJ in march with the March filers due to I received my receipt notice March 23, 2017. I moved from March filers, to April filers and now in the May filers. Today we are 195 days with no NOA2 and have exhausted every resource available to get a response unsuccessfully. 3 Congressman, Ombudsman office, CSC follow up emails, 6 service requests, 3 calls a day to Tier 2 officers. This all has resulted in nothing! Only you within the processing time for another 2 weeks, with no timeline when we will be getting a NOA2! As you all know this is a huge hardship financially and mentally! I just hope and pray someone realizes our file is currently 7 months with no NOA2 and does something!!!! Good luck to all!!!
