    We were talking daily via Skype... and beginning of this year it was blocked (most of the others were blocked before they added Skype, like whatsapp, Facebook, etc.) We have tried half a dozen other apps/programs - all of which are also blocked from the Dubai side. We can chat...just cannot call. 

     

    Calling from my cell phone is about $3 per minute... not do-able for me. 

     

    Sooo I thought perhaps someone else found something that works? Or has an idea we haven't considered...? 

     

     

    Hello. I also live in Dubai and faced with that problem.
    Try to use the app zoom.us for video calls and telegramm for voice calls.
    It works without VPN.

    You will realize the total number of cases got a little less with this one, cause I caught some may filed but status changed in June cases  -mostly rejected cases in between. So here is the final total.

    At last, we received our NOA2 dated Aug. 3, 2017. I didn't even realize to ask my fiance to check his PO BOX until last night. It took them 126 days to approve our case. USCIS still shows received as of March 30.

     

    I am very happy to move forward and wait for our case to be transferred to NVC.

I'm going to visit for 3 weeks in october and after that visit I'm really hoping to receive NOA2 but yeah.. nothing is for sure so I guess it's better to focus on family here (spending as much time as I can now with the people that I'm gonna see rarely once I move to US) and remember that in the end of this painful process we are gonna have the whole life in front of us together ❤️ Good luck all of you! I'm so excited to share our journey with you, people who know exactly what I'm talking about here!!!
