Hey I received my NOA2 Feb 8th so currently waiting on NVC which hopefully will come back next week some point. Can I ask you both what is the availability currently like for medicals at knightsbridge? My wedding is April 14th so very keen to get all this done asap. I seen @Lfx your appointment isnt until March 13th.. was that by choice or was that the only available time? I want to have my medical asap followed by the interview a week or two later if possible.. Do you guys have any idea on medical and interview availibity?

Hi Irish, I rang today for my appointment. They had appointments on the 6th March (which seemed to be the soonest as they gave me no other option) & the appointment was for 8:50am. The other options I had were the 7th (another early appointment) and then 13th or 14th - which were for 10:30 and 11:30 on each day, so I picked the 11:30am appointment for the 13th as I'm travelling from up North so it takes a few hrs on the train. Try and schedule that 6th March one if you can!!!

It's only if it's on your medical papers - on the forms they give you on the day there are some tricky questions:

    • Have you ever thought about harming yourself?
    • Have you ever acted on these thoughts?
    • Have you ever thought about harming others?
    • Have you ever acted on these thoughts?

I'd say if you're going for honesty, you can get a letter from your GP prior to the appointment, and it basically needs to say that you are not/no longer a threat to yourself or others. Bring this on the day - if it's not enough then they'd mention it and what else they'd need from your GP but you have to do all the pedal work (ie booking an appointment with the GP)

Thank you for the insight in to this. My anxiety is side effect of my heart condition but my GP mentioned it in my “notes”. Never been formally treated for anxiety and it’s not in my active or significant “past records”. My gp letter states that I have not had an issue my heart condition for last 2 years :0. Although I do have other papers from hospital which agree with this as well! :)

Do you already have an interview date?:) xx

Glad I can help at least one person!

Make sure you have ordered your ACRO police background check x

I have got that :) I’m glad that you mentioned the part about anxiety etc. I will have to look in to whether my gp will issue something like this to me.. so grateful (: xx

They are known around here as the misinformation line. No joke.

    That is correct.

I can see this unfortunately :/ as a civil servant in immigration myself (in UK), it upsets me a little bit as I knowingly try to help people as much as I can - because I know it means everything to some. However, if they’re under pressure & actually cannot transfer the calls - I will just have to wait around and see what happens over the next few weeks. :) I hope you get the answers you want - goodness knows we all deserve it :)

  6. He’s used that number & also the military helpline number. Yesterday he called and they said our application was in its “final stages”. He has called today to enquire what final stages might mean as the lady on the phone yesterday wasn’t clear. He mentioned that he was told about this stage - and then the person on the phone stated that final stages doesn’t exist.

    Very conflicting 😂 oh well. 😊 x

I am about to call and ask for tier 2. My heart is big and I am so excited for everyone, but I am over the silence. I want answers!

Call back wait time is 207 minutes. LOL

Well, here we go. I'll have my ringer on, USCIS.

Can you let me know how it goes please? I hope it goes well. :) My fiancé just called and they told him there’s no such thing as tier 2 😂 x
