The interview went well! I didn't wind up needing to show anything except for my green card; the digital uploads for everything else sufficed.

It was strange seeing my IV packet there on the desk, it feels like forever ago since I last saw it!

    Office: Boston, MA

    Applied: May 25th

    Interview Notice: Early September

    Interview: October 10th

I was scheduled right then and there for next week; October 18th!

Congrats!!! It's all coming to an end :)

  2. So guys, my Immigration journey that started January 20, 2017 with Form I-130 has now come to an end today with an issuance of a Certificate of Naturalization. I know it is not easy to navigate through USCIS processes and wait times. Best of luck to those still waiting for their interview and congrats in advance on your becoming US citizens. Thanks to you all for being here to provide support and information.

Question: do I have to contact the office before the interview that I have a pending i751 or i should mention it on the interview date?

You don't do anything. They have your records and they know you have a pending ROC which they will deal with the same day (combo interview) or after your citizenship interview. They cannot approve your N-400 until ROC is approved. Prepare for both ROC and Citizenship interviews, bring your spouse in case they need both of you for ROC interview, bring all documents/evidence on living in a continuous marital union with your U.S. citizen spouse.

  4. Hey Guys! Its Fridayyyy!!

    Got some updates:

So I had my interview on 07/25 which went pretty smooth under 15 minutes, for some reason it was virtual even though it was in an office at the USCIS office.  Well, I got issued the passed and congrats paper and later in the day.

Today, 07/28 I got a notice text and checked online status to see "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed". Opened the PDF from Documents tab and Oath ceremony is 08/17.

Happy weekend you all and good luck to those still waiting.

Oh, this is not important but I thought its something I need to point out.

Up until today before I got the USCIS notice text on oath ceremony, my status had the following:

    - Case Was Submitted For Quality Review Based On An Approval Recommendation    July 25, 2023
    - Your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, was placed in line for oath ceremony scheduling.    July 25, 2023

Then after I got the text notice for oath ceremony, my status changed to the following:

    - Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed    July 28, 2023
    - Your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, was placed in line for oath ceremony scheduling.    July 25, 2023
    - We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review.    July 25, 2023

See the difference and change from "Case was submitted..." to "We recommended..."?  Weird that the dates didn't change even though the wordings of the statuses changed

    - May 18,2023 Biometrics Waved

2 Months on the dot, pretty cool!!

How is it 2 months? Do you mean "June 19" received notice for interview?

    Congrats!

hi there, just created USCIS online account, but don't see the USCIS ONLINE ACCOUNT NUMBER which is asked when filling in N-400, do you have the experince?

It is a very grey area and you don’t need it to complete your N-400 online, you may proceed without it. You could also check your previous USCIS immigration related notice of actions, it may be there.

    Hi

I just filed online yesterday and got the NOA and biometric reuse in the uscis account.Do we get a physical mail of these two as well? or just the message in the account.

Do we get the interview letter in mail or that will come in uscis account as well?

All USCIS notices comes in as a letter in your regular postal mail and if you have a USCIS account (since you filed online), you'd get a copy in the documents tab of your online account

I’m on lawfully premium so I have access to certain analytics which shows how cases are progressing along for month based cohorts.

for May N 400 filers, these are the current stats

    2/229 - already received citizenship

    60/229 - Received Interview dates

167/229 - Waiting for Interview dates

So roughly 27 % of all May filers have gotten an interview request at this point.

Not a bad pace. I likely expect we’ll cross the majority with interview requests by the end of July.

    That's interesting. Good stuff!!

So this got me to look at the data we have here in VJ and I did similar analysis using VJ's Citizenship (N-400) Timelines and I got:

    0/36 - already received citizenship

    4/36 - Received Interview dates

29/36 - Waiting for Interview dates

    ~12% got Interview scheduled dates.

Of course data in VJ will be less accurate since it is fully dependent on users providing updates accurately and timely

Hi everyone, I just moved from NY to Florida recently and I want to update my address now for my 2 pending cases i751 and N400.

However, it does not allow me to enter my 2 cases at the same time when i try to file the change online thru AR11 . I tried enterning n400 first then i751 is not on the list of form types to submit and vice versa. Does anyone experience this?

Do you think it would be an issue if I submitted the change of address separately for each case? Thank you in advance.

I submitted my N400 last May 25 and hoping the transfer will make the process faster.

Why not just go head and submit for I751 and then go back and submit for N400 (One AR-11 for each Case), just a suggestion.

I will also suggest that in addition to AR-11, you should complete the change of address in your existing USCIS online account profile for each case. From your online account got to

My Account > Profile, here you can change your address for each pending cases if you filed them online.

To everyone who recently got an interview invite, how many months did you have on your estimated months left tracker before you got the interview invite?

Curious if it was 1 or 2 months, or if it was something like 6 to 10 months?

Interestingly, mine was like 8 months before and now it is 11 months*.

I don't think the estimates are per individuals, it is an average completion time for ALL N-400 processing at the specific local field office over a period (not sure what period they use)

I also checked processing time for my field office on https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ and it says 12 months.

*"These completion projections are based on case processing for applicants who have been lawful permanent residents for at least 5 years. For all other applicants, completion projections may vary."

    May filler.

Checked the case tracker today and found an update! N400 Interview was scheduled and I should receive a letter with details in a few days. I have a pending 751, and I applied for N400 last month, so I'm assuming this will be a combo.
Please share any link that would help me gather documents and anything that could help to get prepared. Thanks!

Congrats!! Looks like Tampa is pretty fast. BTW @Sam.az you could get the scheduled date for your interview by checking for notices in the Documents tab from your USCIS online account.
