Soo, again been really busy. We filed AOS earlier this week and I’m hoping to get my drivers lisence next week. I got my learners permit a couple of weeks ago and been driving as much as possible but it’s so scary when you’ve never had a lisence before lol.  I hope everyone is doing well and are happy and wish the rest of you that are still going through the process the best of luck!! ❤️❤️

I contacted the Ombudsman and the next week it was approved!!

Well, the positive thing is you got an RFE pretty quick which means they are already working on your stuff which is fantastic!  Good luck with your call to USCIS.  I hope it's something you can work around pretty easily.  Keep us posted!

We got our appointment letter on Friday and his Biometrics appointment is 1/26.  We are in Southern California and I think our field office is one of the busier ones.  Progress!    

Us too!  I was so afraid we missed something.  We had challenges completing the applications on the computer so I ended up writing them out and I was so worried they might not be able to read what I wrote.  Oh well!  We sent it off yesterday.  Here we go again!    

I think we put K1 for each of those.  I'll have to double check.... I think that was something I inquired about in another forum because it's the same answer each time.  

For the most part.  I found a sample cover page online somewhere and made sure we had all of the same items that were listed on the cover page.  Really it's a lot of the same thing over and over again.  I think we've all learned through the K1 process how inefficient the process is so needless to say that doesn't change much when you move to the next phase   It's just way more expensive this time around!  But at least we are with our loved ones during "round two"

Happy New Year to you and Monica as well!  Tamar and I sent our AOS paperwork in a couple weeks ago.  Waiting on our Biometrics appointment.  It's kind of funny because I/our lawyer did pretty much all of the K1 paperwork and Tamar just signed things when he needed to and of course got all of his personal stuff together, interview, etc.  But since we did the AOS together (no lawyer..) he couldn't believe how much work and paperwork went into it!  Not to mention that since you to Green Card and AP at the same time, you are sending three copies of everything.  Have you started getting the paperwork together?

Hi everyone!  We received our text messages saying our case(s) were received.  Our receipts all are MCS---- numbers.  Is that the same as our case number?  I can't track these numbers on the USCIS site so I'm not sure if that is the same as our case number.  Thanks for the intel!
 

I actually had some confusion over this as well.  Since you just did the medical with the K1 Visa, you don't need to worry about it again.  I sent a copy of my husbands vaccination record with our packet though.  

Agreed!  Another interesting bit from the SS Office (the gal we spoke with both times was sooo nice) but she asked us how we knew we needed to come to the SS Office and asked if they told us during the Visa process.  I of course laughed because they don't tell you anything, but she said so many people come in with the I-94 expired because they didn't know they needed to get the SSN as well as get married.  She was like "it would be nice if they gave you a check list".  Yah, no kidding!!  Anyway, thanks to all of you smart folks here on VJ, we took care of it just a few days after arrival.  FYI, no need to apply for SSN in California before marriage.
