  1. Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight. I am just starting out in this process, I will be attending my biometrics appointment next week, and I am wondering what the likelihood is of me being asked to attend an interview? Husband and I are still happily married, have since had a baby since first green card and have travelled a lot together, have sent lots of pictures, plane tickets, birth records etc for evidence.

Reason I am asking is, I want to plan a trip to visit my family in the UK in the fall and don't want to be called for an interview in that time! I was just wondering how many of you have been asked for interview, is it more common than not?

    Thanks in advance!

congratulations! The more I read about people's cases the more blatant it is that  (as another poster sort of put it) there really is no predicting anything with uscis. Expect the unexpected I guess!  I would have never guessed they would set interviews before they give a work permit!!

I know there is no rhyme or reason with the way they process cases, its very frustrating!

  3. Hey Y'all!!!!!

We submitted our AOS November 1st

Got a text message confirmation on November 15th

    And the waiting begins......

    Praying we did everything correctly!

If I remember correctly I read somewhere that we should be getting a biometrics appointment within 30 days? I am right with this? is the the NOA1?

Thanks everyone, fasten your seatbelts, we are in for a wild ride together!

  4. Hi everyone,

    Ive been scouting around and trying to do research for days and fill in the paperwork for the AOS packet. What I have gathered is that there used to be no charge for i-131 and i-765 when filing with AOS packet. However now on the instructions for the i-131 it says ;

"Advance Parole Document for Individuals Who Are Currently in the United States (including individuals whose cases were deferred pursuant to DACA): The ling fee for an Advance Parole Document for an individual who is currently in the United States is $575. The biometrics services fee is not required. "

On the i-765 form instructions it lists applicants who are exempt from the fee of $410, none of which are K1 applicants.

Of course I don't wish to do this wrong and have my packet sent back, have they changed the rules regarding these charges?! If anyone has filled recently and could be of any help that would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the info. I'm doing cosponsor as well so wanted to get the info. London aren't too strict on it from what I have heard. And wasn't sure if it had to pen signed or pc signed if that makes sense. Thank you

Yeah I don't think they are, they didn't have any qualms when i didn't provide the tax return they asked for. Yeah ours was pen signed, but a photocopy!:)

I finally got through to someone today.  They had really messed up the spelling of the email address and even my fiance's name.  Finally got it all corrected and got the email.  Thanks everyone!

Hooray! Good Luck! make sure you don't pee before you go in, I made that mistake and had to drink 5 cups of water so i could provide a urine sample hahaha!

How long did they say it would take you to get the passport back? Any other tips? My interview is tomorrow :)

Thank you!!!! The screen in the waiting room said 17 working days, the man at the window said up to 2 weeks! When i got a non immigrant visa i got my passport back within 2 days, so i'm hoping its soon! Make sure you take water/food and something to do you may be there a while! Don't be nervous, they are all very nice and congratulated me on my engagement and were quite chatty! Good Luck!

Congrats! I have a question regarding the i134 form. What evidence did you take with the form? And does the form have to have wet signature or can it be signed on the computer and then emailed and printed out?

Thank you! My fiancé put together the packet and mailed it over, it was a copied signature not a wet one. We had letters of employment, a letter from the bank, pay stubs and bank statements. I gave them the whole thing and he flicked through it and gave me loads of things back saying he didn't need it all. I don't think they take it took seriously they just want to check the income is correct and have a job etc because they know the next step AOS requires a lot more evidence in the packet regarding income. Good Luck!
