Hello all , 

i sent out my AOS packet last week and just received the notification that USCIS had received it. 

I now have a concern, i forgot to send my NOA2 approval notice for my k- visa ! Will this cause an Rfe ? Should i mail it out now or wait for Rfe ? 

Please, any input would be greatly appreciated !

Sorry, just joking. Actually you can find a lot of reviews about the different POE's here on VJ, and the majority of them are airports.

Don't let people get you worried about what's the most straight forward part of the process.

Oh, and yes! The immigration officer probably will take you to a different room to handle the visa, not the normal queue, and they'll keep your package except for the medical.

I have a question, 

Once the visa is recieved along with the packet,

is the packet handed to the immigration officer at the airport of Port of entry ? 

Meaning, the person can travel to the U.S in airplane right ? 

They do not have to travel through land ? 

I've had several people tell me that k visa holders had to travel through land .... which i am not so sure about.

That usually means there are no other dates available for an interview for that month, 

Some people have just checked back later in the day and they have found more days available due to cancellations. 

I dont know if this is true for all embassies though. This is just what i know in general.

Wow thats crazy fast! 

From my experience NVC recieved my packet 2 weeks after my NOA2 and assigned a case number about a week after they recieved it.

Yes, 

mine took almost 3 weeks, so be patient 😊

Anyone having trouble with the ceac case tracker website ? 

I've been trying to open it and the link seems to be down because it just displays an error page and wont open 😒

Secondly i have a question since you already went through the whole process .... 

can my fiance fill out the Ds-160 and submit it as soon as my status on the CEAC website says "ready" ? Or do we wait for packet 3 to arrive ? 

Also, everywhere online i see that they refer to the k visas a a non-immigrant visa but some people on here say its an imigrant visa, what did you file the ds-160 as ? Imigrant or non imigrant ?

Hello all ! 

I have a question , 

my approval date is June 7th, and so i called the nvc today and they told me they recieved my packet yesterday, they didnt provide me with a case number yet but my question is once i recieve the case number what happens next ? 

I am a bit confused as to what comes next after recieving the case number , 

any input would greatly be appreciated 😊

Whatever officer some of February 15th filers got must take a gooooodddd look at these applications ... doesn't seem like many from this date have heard anything back yet .... 

so frustrating 😒😤

126 days ?! Wow. I am sorry you've been waiting for so long ! 

But visiting your fiance sounds super nice ! It should help get things off your mind for a bit .

Well i am hoping mine gets approved soon , its so discouraging though to see that some December filers havent gotten approved yet or to see filers a week or two after me get approved already 😞

I am hopeful too ! I just spoke to a tier 2 officer right now as they just called back and she was very nice and helpful, she did state that i am still within processing time and that my case was still being processed ... that i have nothing to worry about, and it was a very good sign that i had not recieved and RFE ... so she just told me to keep waiting some more .... 

but i am hopeful to hear something soon ! I feel your frustration its killing me 😣

Day 111 today and yet no NOA2 ... i have to admit i am really concerned now, 

i have called uscis 2 times already and have not gotten through to speak to a tier 2 officer ...

my recieved date is february 15th 😞

Seems like USCIS has forgotten about mid February filers, especifically February 15th filers.... on to day 108 today .... Really really hoping to recieve some news soon , this waiting is really driving me nuts now !

Congrats ! Nice to see someone else with the same recieved date as mine get their approval already ... 

Sadly i am still waiting on mine but i am hopefull for this week 😊

So this is me thinking ahead ... i have not recieved by NOA2 yet but i have been wondering .... 

Does the embassy in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico accept co-sponsors ? I already know i am going to have to use my father as a co-sponsor. 

Also, do i have to file an I-134 form for each with supporting documents for each (father and I) ? 

Or 

just one form for my father ?
