  1. Dear friends, I have a question that I am really confused about. I received my Green Card based on Vawa in June 2023. It expires in 2033. The resident since date is Oct 2014. My case was old and on top of that I was married to a CU6 LPR Cuban so according to the Cuban Adjustment Act my Resident date was rolled back. Since my resident since date is from 2014 and I have been living in USA continuously since 2015 Am I eligible to apply for Citizenship? Is the time to apply for US Citizenship starts from the Resident since date on the Green Card or it Starts from the date you physically receive the card in the mail? My timeline is attached. I have been a active member here while my stressful process of Vawa was in progress. Thanks
  2. USCIS thought our marriage was a fraud to begin with. They were wrong and we proved it with a lot of evidence. USCIS thought our marriage was a fraud to begin with. They were wrong and we proved it with a lot of evidence.
  3. Hello everybody, I was a vawa applicant from April 2017. My case was actually denied and I received a Notice of Intent to Deny back in Oct 2020. My new lawyer submitted the 601 waiver. In Nov 2022 they asked for additional evidence. I was also asked to submit good moral character documents, I was also asked to submit last 5 year Income Taxes. We made a very big package of all the information needed. After we submitted the RFE it took almost 2 and half months for the good news. Moral of the story : Do not give up, be positive, do research and Good News will come. Keep Praying. Here is my timeline from when I applied Vawa.
  4. Hello guys, Finally got my "New card is being produced" message. After 7 years. YES, I applied for Vawa in the beginning of 2017. Here is my timeline. It has been a tough journey since my Vawa was basically denied. Here is my timeline: Feb 2017 applied for vawa June 2020 made contact with congressman to assist Oct 2020 got a notice of intent to deny (i was hopeless) Nov 2020 filed a 601 waiver Nov 2022 received a rfe for medical and proof of past 5 year taxes filed June 2023 green card being produced I learned two very important things during my journey: Number 1, Never ever lose hope. Pray to God and keep moving forward. Always be positive. Number 2, Do a good research before selecting your attorney. I went through 3 attorneys from the time I was initially married in 2015 till now. A Good attorney firm will make a huge difference. My last attorney, the way he handled the 601 waiver was amazing, he basically turned my case around from a Notice of Intent to Deny to a Final approval. Please do not ask me the name or information of my attorney, since I am not here to make a advertise for any body. Take Care, and I wish you all the best.
